November 29, 2013 Friday Afternoon

Had a great day with the family for Thanksgiving.  We got to my parents house before 1 PM and didn't get home until about 5:30 PM.  We took Bo with us and he played the entire time with anyone who would play with him.  He cried the entire way out to my parents house sitting on my lap.  Such a baby.  Once he got to my parents house he was happy.  Mom made two turkeys and I think I ate way too much.  Was very good.  Had great conversation with the family and got some nice pictures.  Spent last night watching Jeff Dunham specials on Comedy channel.

This morning we were up at 7 AM to feed the dogs and give Vito his shot.  Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching TV.  Met the guys for lunch and had a great lunch since most of us were off work we had a long lunch and laughed our butts off.  Came home and after an hour we had to load Stella and Bo in the car to take them to the vet for a nail trim.  Got Stella's anal glands cleaned also.  We could hear Bo crying the entire time in the back room getting his nails trimmed.  He was not in pain, just a very vocal dog.  We have spent the rest of the afternoon watching some car shows Tony enjoys.  I've had about enough and when I am done with this post the channel will get changed to a TV show we both can enjoy.  We might go out for a fish fry tonight.  Right now I still am not hungry from the lunch.  No plans the rest of the weekend.  Tony's sister decided not to do a turkey on Saturday so that really left us with no plans.  I am happy with no plans.

November 27, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon

Last night we arrived at the fundraiser around 5:30 PM like I had planned.  Walked around for an hour an a half and sampled food from different restaurants around Milwaukee.  My favorites were the cheese ravioli, the chocolate cupcakes and the whiskey ice cream.  Went back a couple times for a sample.  Then there was a show called White Christmas for all of us to enjoy.  It was a musical and very entertaining.  Unfortunately I took my pills about half way through 'sampling' and have 2 glasses of wine, and my stomach felt horrible.  I wasn't sure if I was going to throw up, fart, or have the runs so we left at intermission.  Figured better to be safe than sorry and Tony was ready to go home and go to sleep from working all day.  Got home in time to watch the final results for Dancing With The Stars.  I am happy with the outcome.  Went to sleep around 10:20 PM after the local news.

This morning I was awake by 6 AM, waking in Tony's arms.   Of course that always leads to one thing ... so we did the lovin thing before he got out of bed to get ready for work.  I got up a little while later to feed the dogs and give Vito his shot.  Around 8 AM I was petting Vito on the couch.  He was laying on his back and I was scratching his stomach when I saw a flee run across his stomach.  DAMN!  The dogs are hardly ever outside and we have no grass for them to get them from.  All three small dogs got flee baths.  Stella will get one tonight when Tony showers.  I then spent the rest of the day doing laundry of all the bedding and blankets they lay in around the house.  Went to McDonald's around 10:30 AM for breakfast and then headed to Big Lots to buy a few items for Christmas that I saw in the sale flyer.  I then went to the post office to mail my envelope with my coupon book for part D insurance to ADAP for them to pay my monthly premiums.  After the post office I went to Pick N Save in Shorewood and did a light grocery shopping not buying much since I don't plan on cooking much in the near future and the house is stocked with food.  Bought some flowers to take to moms house tomorrow for Thanksgiving also.  Came home and continued with the laundry.  I did buy some flee medicine for the dog upstairs also.  I figured no sense washing all mine if the flees are coming from their dog.   I then spend the afternoon listening to my favorite 70s disco on my ITunes that I have in my collection.  Over a hundred I have load on ITunes from my hard drive.  I have hundreds more that I downloaded during the Napster hay day.  Sure brings back memories of having more energy and dancing the night away as I listen to each song.  Each song I can see myself or picture what makes this song important and mean something.  Would be nice to relive those days knowing what I know now.  I would have just had fun knowing I was going to be OK in the future and would have the man and life of my dreams.  Would have not worried so much and just enjoyed the moment.  Making a canned ham and baked potatoes with a salad for supper tonight.  We will spend the night watching TV and not go anywhere since we have been out the last two nights.  Tomorrow we will go to my mom and dad's for Thanksgiving lunch.  It will be fun to see most of the family.  MOST.  LOL.  Tony is not working then the rest of the weekend which is rare.  I made a vet appointment for Stella and Bo to go at 2:30 PM Friday so we can both take them together.  Will be a nice laid back weekend I think with the dogs.  Saturday afternoon we do have another Thanksgiving dinner at Tony's sisters house so by the end of the weekend I will not want Turkey for a while.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I feel blessed to have everything I have.

November 26, 2013 Tuesday Morning

Last night Tony and I went to an anniversary party for a bar here in Milwaukee.  The owners are a very nice couple and one of the guys we have lunch with works at the bar.  Got there around 6:30 PM and we were home around 9 PM.  Had two drinks and a lot of finger food.  For this party they had two hot guys in g strings walking around with trays of finger food.  Non stop array of food all night long.   I must say I tried many of the foods just because the guy who brought them was so hot.  We left before the comedian came onstage at 9 PM.  We are getting old when 9 PM is even too late to be out.  LOL.  Was happy to get home and in the warm house.  Went to sleep after Castle.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Spent the morning reading the newspapers and talked with a new friend I met on this blog on the phone for a while.  I have met so many nice people through this blog.  It is cold again in Milwaukee.  Of course your probably going to hear that for the next four months or so.  It is below 30 degrees and I am not leaving the house today until tonight.  Tony will be home early tonight to shower and put on our suits for a fundraiser.  The AIDS center holds their yearly fundraiser and I get tickets for the two of us because I am on the client advisory board.  It is a fun event and I am happy I get the tickets.  They always put on a classy event and we always have a good time.  It is at the Performing Arts Center and there is even a play after the food part of the fundraiser.  Should be a fun long night.  Hope to feed the dogs a bit early and be at the event by 5:30 PM.  Will be a long night for the dogs alone, but they will just have to deal with it.  I like these events because we will both be dressed up in our suits looking all handsome and nice.  Only other times we get this dressed up is for a funeral lately so it is nice to have a happy event to wear a suit and tie.  Going to make a can of soup for lunch and take a nap with the dogs this afternoon.  That is the plan for the day.  I will get all the other things done tomorrow.  Figure if I have to leave the house for grocery shopping tomorrow I will get a lot of other things done at the same time.  The construction across the street is going full steam ahead.  They are working on the foundation for the final 8 units right in front of my house.  Just a damn shame it is 28 degrees outside and all I can see is their faces through their jackets since they are all bundled up.  Would have been nice to see some skin while they work.  Guess I am out of luck.  Hard to tell the handsome ones from the not so handsome ones, much less what they look like because they are all bundled up.

November 25, 2013 Monday Morning

It was very cold in Milwaukee last weekend and we did very little outside the house because of it.  Neither of us like going out in the cold and it just seems to get worse as we get older.  Saturday we never left the house.  Spent all day watching TV or movies.  Took a nice nap and did the loving thing Saturday afternoon.  Ordered a lasagna and garlic bread for supper delivered.  Spent Saturday night watching the gay Internet series Hunting Season, which was very good.  Eight short 10 minute episodes.  Was very good and I look forward to more episodes online.  We also watched the movie We Are The Millers.  I liked the movie and laughed many times.  Was pretty much what I expected of the movie and my expectations were low.  Went to bed Saturday night around 10 PM and watched half of SNL in bed before going to sleep.

Sunday morning we were up by 7 AM.  Made breakfast and spent the morning reading the newspaper and watching TV.  It was so cold again and never got out of the 20s.  Watched the movies Red 2 and Triple Crossed.  Triple Crossed was a gay themed thriller and it was very good.  I recommend finding the movie Triple Crossed.  Didn't hurt that the guys were hot as hell and there were some very hot sex scenes.  Red 2 was entertaining enough.  We left the house around 4 PM to get the weekly lottery tickets and have supper at a local restaurant here on the Eastside.  Had soup and sandwich.   Spent the night watching Amazing Race, Good Wife and Mentalist.  Went to sleep after the Mentalist and a little lovin.

This morning we woke to snow coming down.  We got about 2 inches and it has finally stopped.  It is so cold and I keep wondering how long I can live here in Wisconsin with these Winters and the cold.  Spent the morning putting more Christmas decorations out since the falling snow put me in the mood.  Going to take a nap soon because tonight we have plans to go to a party at a local bar for their anniversary.  The bar puts out a great spread of food.  Will have a couple drink, enjoy some friends company, eat some good food, and come home.  Not looking forward to going out in the cold tonight but I can not live my entire life indoors for the next four or more months.

Of course the tenant came knocking on the door Saturday afternoon to apologize for the day before when she came down drunk.  I told her not to let it bother her 'but maybe you should consider not drinking'.   Tony and I talked and all your concerns in posts are valid and we are going to set boundaries.  If she wants to talk or something I will either say 'now is not a good time' or go up by her so I can leave when I need to.   Evicting them is not an option since they have done nothing to be evicted for at this point.  I honestly think she hates being home all day with their kid and thought I was going to be her bff all day when they moved in.  No such thing going to happen since I enjoy my time alone with my dogs and don't plan on spending time with her or developing a friendship.  I also think she is bipolar.

November 22, 2013 Friday Afternoon

Thursday I spent the morning doing things around the house.  Did a few loads of laundry and cleaning.  Started unpacking some of the Christmas decorations.  Had an afternoon Client Advisory Meeting with ARCW and was home by 3:30 PM.  Had a good meeting.  Spent last night watching a few shows off the DVR and Greys Anatomy before going to sleep.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Read the morning newspaper and downloaded a movie.  My insurance guy called around 10 AM to tell me the Healthcare website was working good and I should try to get Tony set up.  I got approved the other day via a phone call for my new part D.  Tony will need new insurance starting the first of the year also.  Got Tony all signed in with a user name and password.  I then was told by our insurance agent I should have entered a higher amount for his income since he will make more next year and we do not want to get Medicaid.  I am not going to pay back his Medicaid after we get married and if he should die.  Yes, you have to pay back Medicaid from the estate.   Most do not know that.  So I don't want the government taking money from me after he dies just because we got married.  My insurance agent made a phone call and it should all be updated in three days.  Another flaw in the system is once you enter information you can not change it on the website, you have to call them to make the change.  Had lunch with the guys.  Had a great lunch as usual on Friday with the guys.  We all are signing up for new insurance and going through this together so it is nice to see where each stands and some shortcuts along the way.  Came home and put on some music an laid back on the couch.  A little time later I got a call from the upstairs tenant wanting to come down and talk.  I swear to god the next hour was an hour out of the twilight zone.  She had obviously been drinking and I hate talking to drunks.  Jeez, its is 2:30 in the afternoon and she has a 6 month old.  He boyfriend was home and soon came down and came into the house on his own.  After an hour of the strangest conversation she got up and 'had to go'.   So her, her boyfriend, the baby and dog all head out the back door.  As I close the door I notice a half drank beer on the counter.  Believe it or not before the boyfriend came into the living room he helped himself and downed a half a beer before entering the living room.  Who does this?   Boundaries will be set from this point forward.  Wow.  When she was down here she was telling me how my dogs should be acting.  She was telling me I should do more with my life.  She was telling me I should be more happy if I did more.  I finally had to say 'hey, I am happy, if your not, don't put it on my'.  Then she was like 'you don't like us do you'.  WTF?  It honestly felt like I entered the twilight zone.  Who just gets a beer and drinks half, hides it, and leaves?   Plus she brought down a can of beer and I had to put a napkin under it four times, each time she would set it down, spilling, and not on the napkin.  WTF?  I just talked to Tony to tell him the story.  This will not happen again.  I have had to spray air freshener twice since they left to get that drunk breath smell out of the house.  Deep breath.  Will most likely make some soup and a pot pie for supper tonight since we had a big lunch.  No plans this weekend and it is suppose to be the coldest weather so far this year, so we will most likely spend a lot of time at home and not go outside.  We both hate the cold.  Still shaking my head from this afternoon's tenant encounter.  The reason for me wanting to get a monitor for the tenants is so they can see when their dog is ready to come in so I don't have to bring it in daily as they leave her out in the cold for too long.  Hoping if they see her sitting at the back door ready to come in they will come down and get her.  Hoping!

November 20, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon

Monday night half way through microwaving a Hormel beef roast the microwave stopped working.  Everything was plugged in and all so I had to figure it broke.  Never had a microwave just stop working.  Used the tenants microwave to finish cooking.  Spent the night watching Dancing With The Stars and Castle before doing the lovin thing and then going to sleep.

Tuesday morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Read a little of the morning newspaper and soon showered and headed out the door to go to Menard's.  Since I still had to return the flooring I bought the prior week I figured I would start there looking for a microwave.  I can not live without a microwave.  Returned the flooring and found the perfect microwave on sale for only $58.  Drove home and got the microwave out of the box and plugged in.   Looks and works perfectly.  I was also looking for VGA cables and stopped at Office Max only to see they were very expensive and not long enough.  I need them at least 15 feet.  Got home and called Milwaukee PC to find out they have VGA 15 foot cables and for a reasonable cost.  I need the cables because the four way splitter I bought for the security system monitors arrived last week and now trying to get all the monitors connected around the house.  I now have security monitors in the bedroom, kitchen and living room so I can see outside and around the house pretty much no matter where I am in the house.  Yah, this is what people with too much time on their hands do.  The fourth split will be a cable going upstairs so the tenants can see the back doors and around the yard also.  I have to wait for and figure out how I am going to drill holes and what cables to use to get the monitor upstairs for them.  Made BBQ ribs, potatoes and green beans with a salad for supper.  Spent the night watching the CBS TV lineup and then David Blaine magic special.  I honestly love to hate watching the magic shows.  How the hell does he do the tricks he does?  It drives me crazy.  Went to sleep after the local news around 10:20 PM.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Didn't sleep well all night.  Was cold one minute, sweating the next.  Woke up with bowel pain and was not a good first hour after getting up this morning.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Drilled a hole in the floor upstairs to have it come through the ceiling in the bathroom.  Was not where I thought it would come through at all.  Was way off.  Tony will not be happy.  Decided to just break down and buy the last cables I need on the Internet because the are 'spliced' cables and only need a very small pen size hole for the wires rather than a monitor connector size hole.   I can't be putting any more holes in the ceilings or Tony will kill me.  LOL.  Went to Pick N Save near downtown for this weeks grocery shopping.  Came home and after I put everything away I drove back to Milwaukee PC to buy another VGA cable and connector to put a monitor a little farther into the living room for viewing.  Got home and figured it would be one of the last walks for a while because of the cold and rain, and went for a long walk along the river trails.  Had a nice walk and felt good to get out and get exercise.  Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight.  Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR before going to sleep.

November 18, 2013 Monday Afternoon

First off I would like to apologize for the pop up ad that comes up when you view my posts.  I did not sign up for advertising and have stayed away from having advertising on my blog.  Blogger must be doing this on their own.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  Shame on you Blogger.com.

Friday night we spent the night watching TV from the DVR.  We do get pretty caught up on everything we record on the weekends.  Went to sleep around 10 PM.

Saturday we were up by 7 AM.  There are days like this when it would be so nice to just sleep in in the morning.  If it were not for having to give Vito some Insulin and food as close to 12 hours apart, we would have stayed in bed.  Got up and fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  By this time we are awake and the coffee is dripping, so going back to bed is not an option.  Spent the morning watching home improvement TV shows.  We went to see the 1:30 PM showing of Dallas Buyers Club in the afternoon.  It was a very good movie.  I feel it is my duty, or must, to learn about all the people who came before me and died in order for the drugs that keep me alive today.  So sad when you sit back and think that all those people in the movie are dead from HIV now.  It just is not fair.  AZT killed so many good people.  Was a very good movie and wish it got wider release and viewing.  (Noticed the movie was not even in the top 10 this morning from over the weekend).  Came home and ordered a pizza delivered for supper.  Spent the night watching more TV from the DVR doing a good job of clearing half that was recorded.  Went to sleep around 10:30 PM after the local news.

Sunday it was in the 60s when we woke up at 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Was a strange morning and afternoon weather wise.  By 11 AM it was 65 degrees and the tornado sirens were going off.  Tornadoes around Illinois and Wisconsin.  Of course I was on the back second floor deck looking for the funnel clouds.  Thankfully we just got heavy rain, some hail at one point, and strong winds.  It did rain most of the day and I made it to the corner grocery store for lottery tickets and home, just in time for a down pour as I got to the back door.  Went to Walgreen's around 4 PM to pick up a prescription for Tony and some sale items before we walked across the street and had supper at George Webb's.  Spent the night watching Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist before going to sleep.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and said goodbye to Tony as he walked out the door for work.  Did very little today.  A cold front came through late yesterday after the storms and it got just above freezing today.  Very windy making it feel even colder.  Figured I would not leave the house.  Moved all the Christmas decorations out of the basement in in the spare bedroom.  Will start putting them out soon.  Heck, Thanksgiving is next week already.  Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon.  Could have just slept or stayed in bed all day today the way I feel.  Making a beef roast, mashed potato and corn with salads for supper tonight.  Will spend the night watching Dancing With The Stars and Castle before we go to sleep.

I need to find a purpose.  I can't keep wasting my days away like this.

November 15, 2013 Friday Afternoon

Spent last night catching up on the past two episodes of American Horror Story.  As much as I like this show I did like the past two seasons better.  Went to bed around 9 PM and after a little lovin I watched a couple episodes of Everyone Love Raymond and went to sleep.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Tony left for work around 7:30 AM and soon returned looking for his eye glasses.  We could not find them and had no idea where they went since he used them to read the newspaper this morning but now can not figure where they are.  He left for work without his glasses.  Downloaded a few movies and read the newspapers.  Met the guys for lunch and had a great lunch.  Tony said he still had not found his glasses and said they must be at home somewhere. I told him I looked everywhere but would look again when I got home and he left to go back to work.  My ex then met everyone at 1 PM to talk insurance.  What a mess.  Now Obama and Walker are extending for 3 months.  I would still need to change my Part D to be something covered by ADAP which when I do the medicare.gov website it tells me AARP is the best.  So I filled out the paperwork to change my part d to AARP.  Went to Piggly Wiggly and bought a few grocery items and came home.  Looked all over the house for Tony's glasses and then thought about what his final steps would be like before he walked out the door.  I thought 'he always has a pile of tissue that he throws away, maybe he throw his glasses away in the trash with the tissue'?   I dug down deep into the garbage can and sure enough pulled out his glasses from this mornings coffee grinds.  Wow, I guess after 25 years I know him well.  It was in the 50s today which seemed like a heat wave considering the 30s we had been having, so I went for a long walk along the river trails.  Had a great walk.  As I type this I am watching the construction workers lay the cement foundation on the north driveway side of the last complex in front of my house.  Won't be long until a three story building is directly in front of the house blocking my morning sunrise.  Will make a light supper tonight and spend the night watching TV from the DVR.  No plans this weekend other than to see the movie Dallas Buyers Club.  Hopefully we will return the flooring at Menard's sometime this weekend too so I have that off my credit card.

November 14, 2013 Thursday Afternoon

Spent yesterday morning cleaning and dusting the house.  It never got above freezing again yesterday in Milwaukee so I decided to spend the day indoors.  Spent the afternoon listening to music and doing things around the house.  Late in the afternoon I decided to try to install the new garbage disposal I bought the day before.  You would think projects like this would be simple.  Had to call Tony home at one point to get the current drain out of the sink.  He ended up having to bend the hell out of it just to remove it.  How the heck we got it on we have no clue.  He then went back to work and I continued installing the disposal.  Took me until 4 PM and at times I was going to give up.  I simply do not have the strength and projects seem to overwhelm me.  I sat there at times almost in tears thinking 'why can't I do this'.  I did get it done by pushing myself each time I stopped.  I was proud to get it all attached only to have it not go on.  In all the jiggling to get it attached one of the wires disconnected so I had to take all the plumbing apart, remove it, fix the wire, and put it all back together again .... with no leaks.  It works and it doesn't leak so I guess I did the job.  Any project lately is too big it seems.  I feel sometimes mentally I am falling apart.  May be time to go in for some therapy or a tune up mentally.  Made a can of beef stew and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper.  Spent the night watching TV before we went to sleep early at 9 PM.  We both were so tired.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Tony left for work by 7:30 AM.  Around 8 AM the phone rang and the caller ID said my dentist.  Jeez, not another cancellation the day of the appointment?  Ended up being my dentist asking if we can move up the appointment from 2 PM to 11 AM this morning.  I was so happy about this because I hate afternoon appointments.  I don't honestly know how much energy I will have in the afternoon so I try not to make afternoon appointments.  Went to the dentist and had two teeth drilled and filled.  My mouth is still numb.  Spent the afternoon listening to Lady Gaga again, her new Artpop and older music.  I like the second half of Artpop better than the first.  Making pork chops and rice with a salad for supper tonight.  Will also make some corn if I feel ambitious.  We were going to go to the premier of Dallas Buyers Club tonight but we talked and we will go see it this weekend instead.  There is a premier party tonight but Tony is tired after work and going out in the cold at dark when I am warm and comfy in the house just doesn't sound fun.  I did get into the 40s today in Milwaukee but was cloudy and windy making it feel cold.  Will most likely spend the night watching Greys Anatomy and TV from the DVR before we go to sleep.  The new cream my dermatologist prescribed for me seems to be making my rash more reddish.  To early to tell if it is working.  Time will tell.  Thank goodness I am not vane or I would never leave the house with this rash on my face.  When I picked up my monthly HIV prescriptions at the dentist / ARCW today we talked again how I think it is from the HIV med Epzicom and will talk to my HIV doctor in January when I see him next.

November 12, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Tony left for work by 7:30 AM.  Read a little of the newspaper and then headed to the shower so I was clean for my 9:30 AM dermatologist appointment.  Saw the doctor and was told to stop the current cream and antibiotic since they are not doing anything to help with the skin rash on my face.  She said we could either try another cream or do a biopsy on the rash and see if we get more information.  Well, a biopsy on my face and stitches does not sound like fun so I went with trying the other cream with a steroid in it.  Stopped off at Walgreen's on my way home and picked up the new cream.  If this new cream doesn't work she will do a biopsy on my next appointment scheduled for the week before Christmas.  Was home for a while and then decided to drive to Menard's and return two pair of insulated jeans we bought that don't fit and the flooring I bought last weekend.  Returned everything fine and then bought a new garbage disposal (ours died the day before yesterday) and some new and different flooring I thought might be a good fit for the kitchen floor.  Got it all home and unloaded.  Started laying some of the tile down to see how it would look and got a good section laid out.  Soon Stella walked into the kitchen and when I saw her almost slide on the tile because it is so slippery I packed it all up and now I have to return this tile flooring.  Not sure what I am going to do with the kitchen floor.  I should have done a better job the first time and the tile wouldn't be coming up.  Should have put a new sub floor down first.  I am going to have to just rip out all the tile, sand the floor and start over I fear.  Laid on the couch with the dogs and listened to Lady Gaga's new and past music.  I didn't like her new Artpop CD at first but it is starting to grow on me each time I listen to it.  Made some salads and will put a frozen pizza in the oven for supper tonight.  Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR as the TV records tonight's shows.  It got cold here in Milwaukee.  Winter is here.  The pond froze over last night and I was glad I got the heater in it the day before, just in time.  I don't think it even got above freezing or 32 degrees today.  I hate Winter and wonder every year why we live here.  I hate the cold.  I do like the snow, but hate the cold.  I just don't know where we would move since I don't like real hot humid weather either so down south is not an option either.  Middle of the US has too many tornadoes.  I will probably die here in Milwaukee.

November 11, 2013 Monday Afternoon

Friday night we went to a friends house for a couple drinks, good conversation and listening and watching a roaring fire outside.  Stayed for a couple hours and had a good time.  Came home and after we watched a little TV we went to sleep.

Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Spent the morning reading the newspaper.  Around 11:30 AM we left the house and went to Menard's to look at some flooring options for the kitchen and ended up buying other house items and supplies we needed.  Had lunch at Chili's and headed home.  Spent the rest of the day just watching TV with the dogs.  Around 4 PM we did find time to do a round of lovin.  Hadn't all week.  Jeez, doesn't last long when you wait a week.  Going to have to get back to daily if I want more than 5 minutes.  LOL.   Spent Saturday night watching TV from the DRV getting caught up on the past four episodes of Glee.

Sunday morning we were up again by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Our ceiling fan in the living room does not work on the Winter setting direction so I took it down and had Tony install one we got from my parents a long time ago.  It is a nice ceiling fan but after we installed it we realized the only way to turn it off and on is the light switch on the wall which also controls the outlets for the computer and TV.  So we have to buy a ceiling fan with strings to turn it on and off so the on and off switch can stay in the on position for the TV and computer.  Took the newly installed ceiling fan down and boxed it up.  Decided to go to a lighting store downtown and look at ceiling fans since now we have to buy a new one.  I am not planning on spending more than $100 on a fan unless I found one that was way cool and different.  We did not find one that was within our price or one we wanted.  We then went to a Mexican restaurant for a late lunch.  Came home and spent the rest of the day watching TV from the DVR.  Went to bed around 8 PM and did the lovin thing.  Was planning on watching Good Wife and Mentalist but fell asleep and missed them. Thankfully I did record them and will watch them another night.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Took Vito to the vet at 10:15 AM to get his stitches removed.  Got him back home and spent a couple hours in the basement cleaning the basement and going through Christmas decorations to see what I have for this year.  Did a couple loads of laundry and watched the snow fall.  Yes, snow fall.  We got our first snow today.  They also started the last 8 unit section of the apartment development across the street.  Here is a picture of it from my front window.  They started the foundation today:

Tonight we will watch Dancing With The Stars and Castle before we go to sleep.  I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow morning for the rash on my face that won't go away and I think it if from one of my HIV meds.

November 8, 2013 Friday Afternoon

Last night about 8 PM I was watching TV and Tony was in the shower when I heard this loud crash noise outside.  Something about a car crash noise you hear and then just know something is not right.  I got off the couch and looked out the window to see a car had slammed into the construction digger that was on the side of the road across the street.  For a second you look at the situation and try to analyze since it is not what you should see when you look out the window.   I ran to the back of the house to tell Tony there is an accident outside and ran outside to see if I could help.  I was the first to get to the woman in the car. She was dazed and wanted to know if she hurt anyone.  I said 'lady your the only one in the crash, are you ok?'   She said she was fine but just didn't seem all together.  I asked if she had been drinking and she said no.  The neighbors soon called the police and they arrived in about 10 minutes.  We spent the next hour watching the situation from the front window and were so surprised she never even got tested to see if she was drunk.  I think she was.  I found out this morning from a neighbor that she knew the lady and the lady knows the cops, hence no ticket for the accident or being drunk.  Gotta love Milwaukee police department.  Went to bed around 9:30 PM and after a little TV we went to sleep.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Got an email from the guy in Maine we were going to visit in March saying he totally understands if I cancel the trip.  I soon was on the phone with Southwest airlines and cancelled the tickets and got a complete refund.  My friend will cancel the hotel and said there will be no fees.  I felt like someone took a ton of bricks off my back when I was done canceling the trip.  Something will come along and we will do something that weekend closer to home.  We will still go somewhere but I will be close enough to home that if there is a problem we would be home in a matter of hours.  I will feel better this way and have fun.  I would not have fun worrying about my dogs for three days on the other side of the USA.  Had a great lunch with the guys this afternoon.  After lunch I went to Walmart and spent $170 on household items.  Had a lot of coupons and Walmart is the cheapest.  Tonight we are going to the friends house that helped me the day I found out I was HIV.  His partners birthday and a small get together with close friends.  Will be a nice laid back affair with a nice fire in the fireplace.  The guys from lunch will all be there too so it will be a great group of friends.  No plans this weekend.  Will be cold and hope we just stay home most the weekend except for getting some food.  Was cloudy and in the 40s today.

November 7, 2013 Thursday Afternoon

Yesterday I never left the house.  It rained most of the day and I spent most of the day just laying around watching TV with the dogs.  Did a couple loads of laundry and little things, but for the most part it was a waste of a day.  Made spaghetti for supper with some salads and garlic bread.  Spent the night watching last Sunday's Revenge and The Walking Dead, before we went to the bedroom and watched CSI in bed with the dogs.  Went to sleep after the local news.

This morning I was up by 6:30 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Although it was not raining and the sun was out it was cold outside today.  Our coldest yet this season.  So I never left the house again today.  I started cleaning out a hallway closet which then turned into cleaning out the drawers.  That led to cleaning the spare bedroom closet and the main bedroom closet.  Got rid of a lot of clothes that we will never wear or fit us in our lifetime again.  Was then able to move some things around in the spare bedroom and then move some plants into that room, freeing up the dining room of the plants.  So I spent the entire day today cleaning and organizing the house.  Moved a lot of stuff to the basement which will be on my list next week to reorganize and clean.  I will then get out the Christmas decorations that go outside and maybe get some of them out, but not lit until closer to Christmas or after Thanksgiving.  Going to make fried left over spaghetti for Tony tonight with a salad.  He likes the left over spaghetti fried with butter to a crisp.  Like a pancake and almost burnt.  I will have a TV dinner and a salad.  Will most likely spend the night watching more TV from the DVR.

Tony and I had a talk the other day and we are considering canceling the trip to Maine in March to get married.  I am having stress already over the thought of leaving the dogs and being so far away.  The cost of the airline tickets was $1600 and soon enough, Illinois will be granting gay marriage and the border is only an hour drive.  So I am thinking we might just go on a short over night stay for our anniversary in March and then get married in Illinois when it is legal there.  Just the thought of leaving the dogs or the house and not being able to drive back home starts to give me panic and anxiety.  I know, I am crazy, but I am just being honest.  I feel most secure at home and am happiest at home with my dogs.  It's just that simple.  So happiness is the most important and since Tony is happy to cancel the trip for now, I think we might.

November 5, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon

Spent last night watching a few episodes of The Walking Dead.  Almost caught up by the time we went to bed, one episode left.

This morning I was up by 6 AM.  Put on Dancing With The Stars from last night since it was preempted.  Recorded it at 1:30 AM when our local station played it.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Drove to Walgreens around 11 AM and picked up a prescription and then picked up a double cheese burger at McDonalds.  Went to my 1 PM appointment with ARCW to discuss my Health Insurance options.  The meeting was helpful but it is so sad their hands are tied when it comes to recommending a health insurance policy or what we should do since it then would seem like they are working for that company.  It makes it even harder when they are not sure what ADAP will or will not cover when it comes to the policies.  Came home with a bunch of information.  Thankfully my ex partner is an insurance agent and we talked and he is going to get me through this, hopefully.  Picked up my monthly food at the pantry and my turkey for Thanksgiving.  Dropped the turkey off at the shop so Tony could put it in their freezer.  I have no room at home in the freezer for a 12 lb turkey so I had to leave it at the shop freezer.  Grabbed his insurance paperwork my ex gave him a week ago since it was buried under paperwork on his desk, to bring home and fill out..  Came home and spent the remainder of the afternoon going over paperwork and reading up on Medicare and the different medigap coverage.  I just don't get it.  Why can't them make a policy that includes everything, put it in front of my face to sign and move on.  Jeez.  I can hardly pick out the 'right' size or 'kind' of food when I am grocery shopping.  How am I suppose to figure out what insurance policy is best.  And was told ADAP would only cover the basic policy so I will have to pay for all the 'riders'.  Riders?   WTF?  So it is going to cost me because ADAP don't pay for the riders.  Thank you Scott Walker for all this bullshit.  If he would have just taken the federal money and worked with the system it would not be this hard.  We are one of the very few states with this much problems because he is bowing to the tea party favorites hoping to line Scott Walkers pockets.   Making left over tacos and a big salad for supper.  Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR before we go to bed.  Have to get Tony to fill out his insurance paperwork tonight also.  I filled out most of it but he needs to sign and give me some more information before we can turn it in to our insurance agent and find out what new policy he will have and have to pay for as of January 1st.   I think 2014 is going to be an expensive year in our budget paying for healthcare.

November 4, 2013 Monday Afternoon

Friday night we decided to go to a costume party.  I went as a 'Sugar Daddy' with my bag of sugar in a baby carrier, Tony went as 'a person going to a sleep over' with his teddy bear and blanket.  Had a drink at the party and then walked home.  Still was in the mood to be out so we got in the car and went to a local bar a friend owns for another drink in our costumes.  Here is a picture of us in our costumes.

Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching TV.  In the afternoon we went to see the movie Gravity in 3D.  I loved the movie.  On the way out as we walked past the ticket person she asked how we liked the movie.  I said 'I loved it'.  Tony said 'it was boring'.   I stopped dead in my tracks, looked at him and said 'really, did we just see the same movie'.  Oh well.  I enjoyed the movie Gravity.  Came home and spent the rest of the day watching TV from the DVR.  Ordered a pizza delivered for supper and watched more TV.  Went to bed around 11 PM.

Sunday morning we were up by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Went out for breakfast around 11 AM.  When we got back home we went for a walk along the river trails.  I had to promise Tony this would be the last walk this year.  I figure it was a safe bet since it is getting cold outside and Winter will be here soon.  Spent the rest of the afternoon after we got back from the walk raking and blowing leaves around the yard and cleaning out the rain gutters again.  We did it last weekend and they needed it again from the tree in the back yard.  Spent Sunday night watching Amazing Race and Good Wife before we turned off the TV and did the lovin thing before going to sleep.

This morning I was up again by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and soon Tony left for work.  Spent the morning cleaning the dresser drawer in the bedroom.  I realize there were things in three different drawers that should be in one.  Even threw a couple items out which is good for me.  Around noon I went grocery shopping at Pick N Save near downtown.  Haven't been to that Pick N Save in a long time and I really like the store.  Much cleaner and nicer people.  Spent the afternoon watching TV with the dogs on the couch.  Making Tacos for supper tonight.  Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR since Dancing With The Stars is preempted in Milwaukee for a sports event.  It is on at 1:30 AM and I will have the DVR record it for Tuesday night watching.  Was in the 40s this afternoon today.  Partly cloudy and very windy.  Not liking the cold.

November 1, 2013 Friday Afternoon

We contemplated going out last night in costume.  I did have a costume all in mind.  I was going to go as a sugar daddy wearing a shirt that says sugar daddy, a kid carrier with a bag a sugar.  Still might go out Friday night but I doubt it.  It is so hard to get outside after 9 PM at night when you are all snug and comfortable in the house.  It rained all yesterday and last night so going out last night would have been very wet.  Watched SNL Halloween special, Grey Anatomy and then went to bed to do the lovin thing before watching Chelsea Handler's show Chelsea Lately.  I love her show.  Just started watching a couple months ago and we find ourselves sitting here laughing out loud at times.  Went to sleep around 10:30 PM after the news.

This morning I was up by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot.  Only one movie to download this week, Grown Ups Part 2.   Will watch it one day.  Had lunch with the guys and went to the bank afterwards.  Came home and took a short nap with the dogs as I listened to the rain fall.  Another cold rainy day in Milwaukee.  It was only in the low 40s today.  There is a Halloween costume party at a neighborhood bar tonight that we might go to.  It seems more likely we will just order a pizza and stay home and watching TV from the DVR.  No plans this weekend.  Will most likely spend a lot of time watching TV or movies since it is getting cold outside and the weather does not look good.
