Spent last night watching a couple episodes of The Walking Dead. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and doing my usual Friday movie downloads. Fixed the nature camera in the back yard with a new cable Tony brought home from work. He had an extra one for all 16 of his shop cameras. I will have to order a couple more long cables. Nice to have all my nature cameras working. Left the house around 11:15 AM and went to Walgreen's. Then went and got gas. Waited to long to fill the tank since it was on a quarter tank and cost $50 to fill. Actually paid in advance the $50 and the tank was still not full when the pump stopped at the $50 mark. Had lunch with the guys as usual on Friday afternoon. Had a great lunch as always with great friends and conversation. Came home and after I watched my tenant and his girlfriend climbing the back yard tree with ropes, I went for my usual walk along the river trails. I had to push myself to go for the walk like I have to do some days. As soon as I get into the trails I am so glad I pushed myself to go on the walk. I call it 'me' time when I go for my mental recharge walks. Saw a lady trying to handle two dogs and told her 'I have four at home and I wouldn't take any of them because this is me time'. It is now going on 4 PM so I will make a couple salads for supper and most likely some chicken pot pies to go with the salads. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR since there is so much piling up on the DVR. I do have over 100 movies to watch that I have downloaded. Just not enough time in the day to watch all the TV shows and movies I download. Hope to go to Home Depot on Saturday for some bricks/blocks for the back yard. Sunday we will go to Tony's sisters house for an Easter dinner. Since we spent Thanksgiving at my parents house I figure we have to switch off and do Tony's family for Easter, only fair. No other plans this weekend. I am sure if I get the bricks/blocks on Saturday I will have plenty to play with in the back yard. Depending on the weather of course. Suppose to be nice on Saturday and Sunday in the 40s, but Monday and Tuesday we drop back down to around 35 degrees. Doesn't look like another warm up until later next week.

March 28, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Went out to eat last night at BBC bar for $1.50 hamburgers. Yah, they went up in price. My stomach was not feeling great so I skipped the french fries and only had a Sprite instead of a Sprite and Vodka. Thought it best to skip the fries and vodka. Came home and spent the night watching TV from the DVR that has been recording all week. The DVR is filling up again and we have over 45 shows to watch. Went to bed around 9:30 PM for a little lovin before going to sleep.
This morning I was up before 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and doing things around the house. The nature camera in the back yard is not working again. So tired of seeing 'lost signal' on the screen. I think the wires are corroded from the dampness outside and I will have to replace the 100 foot wire and maybe even that camera since the connectors will not stay together. I did get it working for a while this morning, but it soon went to 'lost signal'. Went for a nice walk around 1 PM along the river trails. The snow is melting slowly which is good since it could be much muddier on the trials. Have to be careful how you step along the trail since there is ice and mud. Did a little work on the fencing in the side yard. The ground is still to frozen to pound in some of the fence poles. It did get to 42 degrees today and was sunny all day. Feels so good to get outside and do things in the yard. Stella can finally lay outside in the sun without being too cold. Making a Hormel beef roast and mashed potatoes with a salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR again tonight. We do have a couple episodes of Walking Dead I hope to watch tonight. As long as it gets above 40 degrees each day I am happy. Warm enough for me to work outside, but not too hot like it will be in the middle of Summer. I do get my yard all fixed up before it gets too hot outside to do work in the yard. I have so much on my list to do. Just need the snow to go away and the ground to unfreeze. Hopefully I can talk Tony into going to Home Depot this weekend for all the blocks I want to buy to redo the back yard walkway. It is suppose to be about 45 degrees on Saturday.

March 27, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Splash and Dancing Results. During Dance Results show my stomach started feeling like I was going to throw up. Well, just as I got the dogs all settled on the bed to watch Smash, I ran to the bathroom sink and threw up, what must have been, everything I ate all day. It took about 4 times within an hour to get my stomach feeling better. What a waste of the steak I made for supper, much less another nights pills thrown up. Started thinking why is my stomach feeling so sick lately and all this throwing up. Then I realized it might be the anti inflammatory my doctor gave my for my foot injury that I have been taking one a day? The doctor gave my Ibuprofen 800 MG Tablets for my swelling in the foot. So I think I will have to lay off the anti inflammatory drugs until I go back to the foot doctor in two weeks. My foot has not gotten any better since seeing him a couple weeks ago. It still is uncomfortable to walk on a hard floor or without a cushion in my shoe because it feels like there is a jelly bean in the ball of my foot behind my second toe. I even had to put some padding in the shower because it was too uncomfortable to stand on the hard shower floor. So I ended up seeing a little bit of the TV show Smash in between my standing at the sink for an hour last night. Turned the TV off and went to sleep around 10:30 PM. Did not sleep as well as I would have wanted.
This morning I was out of bed by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. Showered and was out the door by 9:30 AM to go to McDonald's for some breakfast, and then then to Pick N Save to do the weekly grocery shopping. Only ate half my McDonald's food since my stomach was still not feeling great. Was happy I stopped at half a bacon egg and cheese bagel because about half way through shopping my stomach started feeling bad again. Raced through the store to finish and went right home. Felt a little better in time and decided to go for my usual walk along the river trails. It is 40 degrees today and partly cloudy. At least with the sun out it warms the sun room enough for me to have the side sliding doors open for a while during the day. That way the dogs can go in and out without me having to open the door each time, they then go through their doggie door to get outside. Spent some time outside working on the fencing I put up yesterday. It is a work in progress as I wait for the snow to melt. Also spent some time fixing a nature camera in the back yard that must have gotten wet. Dried it out and by this afternoon it worked again when plugged in and placed it back under the house in the rock garden out back. Laid on the bed for an hour with the dogs late this afternoon. Having a cup of coffee which is not going down well with my stomach. I should probably not be drinking coffee on a sour stomach anyway. I think we are going out tonight for $1 hamburger and french fries at the local bar here on the Eastside. Tony mentioned last night he wanted to go there and use the gift card he got from a customer. So I won't be cooking tonight. Will most likely watch TV from the DVR tonight since I have given up on American Idol. Just not into the show this season again. The sun is out so I think I will go outside and do some more clean up in the yard yet before Tony comes home from work, since I don't have supper to make.

March 26, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Dancing With The Stars. Got the dogs all settled in the bed to watch Hawaii Five O when I noticed a Jimmy John's driver stuck across the street in the parking lot ice. Got Tony out of bed and we both got our jackets on and went across the street and got the guy unstuck. Told him how much we love Jimmy John's and where we live. The kid said he would bring us a coupon or some food. Still waiting. Went to bed after the news around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper. Around 9:30 AM the friend we were with Friday night called and asked if I could come over and fix his computer. He could not connect to the Internet and was having the problem Friday night when we were at the house. I debated and finally agreed to come over and try. Showered and went to his house and spent about an hour fixing his computer. Got him connected again to the Internet. Stopped off on my way home at McDonald's for a double cheese burger and french fries. Came home and shared the french fries with the dogs. Since it was 40 degrees outside I decided to start working on the fencing I plan on putting up in the side yard that I bought on Sunday. Moved some snow and removed the old fencing. Took a bit of work with the frozen ground but I did manage to get the new fencing up. Will have to pound the poles in deeper when the ground thaws. Spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch watching TV with the dogs. Making a couple steaks and beef flavored rice with a salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching Splash, Dancing Results, and then Smash before going to sleep. Looks like we will be above 40 degrees for the next few days. Finally!

March 25, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Made it through the weekend without a recurrence of the pain I had Thursday.
Friday night we went to a friends home to sit around with good friends and talk. I decided to bring the movie The Impossible and most spent the evening in the living room watching the movie. By the end of the movie everyone was watching. I still think this is the most under appreciated movie in the past year of movies. Got back home around 10:30 PM and after watching a little TV we went to bed.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. Spent most of the day watching TV. Got Tony up and out of the house in the afternoon when we took Stella and Bo for a walk around the block. It was about 36 outside on Saturday and after walking the dogs I talked Tony into going for a walk along the river trails 'since it is our anniversary'. Had a nice walk and took a short nap with the dogs after we got home. Decided to go to a newly opened restaurant on the Eastside here that we used to go to when it was under a different name and ownership. Since it had just opened in the past couple months we decided to go there for our anniversary supper. Big mistake. We got to the restaurant around 6 PM. It was very nice and we were very impressed at the new decor. Looked over the menu and Tony decided to have the fish, so we could see if they make a good fish fry, and I ordered the hamburger topped with a steak, WITHOUT MUSHROOMS. The menu clearly stated it has mushrooms on it so I made a point to say .... NO mushrooms. Ordered a couple tall single drinks and waited for our food. Talked with the couple sitting next to us who was also there for the first time since the reopening. The food comes and of course my hamburger is floating in mushrooms. So when I finally got the attention of the waiter to let him know, he said he would put in a new order and was sorry. He did write no mushrooms. So of course Tony starts eating his food or it would get cold. Tony soon finished his complete meal and our drinks were empty. The waiter came over to say my food should be out soon and 'would we like another drink while we wait'. I figured sure since we are waiting because of their mistake, my partners done eating now, and I still have not gotten my food. The second round of drinks even came before my food. Eventually got my hamburger which was not very good and then got the bill. The total was over $75. I looked at the bill and noticed not only did they charge us for four drinks all together, but charged us for two burgers since they made a second one. WTF? Of course he took the second hamburger off but that still left $28 for our drinks when I thought the second round was on the waiter since we were waiting for our food. I had no intent on spending $28 on alcohol. Tony of course said 'just pay it', and we did. $70 for a supper we didn't get to eat together and was not very good. Came home and spent the night watching the movie This Is 40. Good movie. I really enjoyed it and could relate. Especially since when we got home Tony asked me if I wanted him to take a Viagra or Cialis. The movie starts with such a discussion. Went to bed around 11 PM after a little lovin.
Sunday morning we were up again at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Made eggs and bacon for breakfast. Around noon we went to Menard's to buy some fencing I wanted and other items for the yard. It is not warm enough out, much less there is still snow, so I will have to wait to work in the yard. Nice to have the supplies you need. So we went to Menard's and everything I thought was on sale was not, but they did have an everything 11% off sale going on. Ended up buying a new kitchen counter top for the upstairs apartment, fencing, and the total came to $425. I was in shock. Tony pulled out three 100 dollar bills and said to put the rest on the credit card. Came home and after we unpacked the truck I walked up the street to buy the weekly lottery tickets. Spent the rest of the day watching TV. Made a salad and frozen pizza for supper. Spent the night watching Amazing Race, Good Wife, and then did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the day cleaning, do laundry and then napping with the dogs. It is only 32 degrees outside, cloudy and windy, and not pleasant to be outside. So tired of this Winter. Making some hamburger helper and salad for supper tonight. Will spend the night watching Dancing With The Stars and then Hawaii Five O, before going to bed.

March 22, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Tony came home from work to a TV dinner on the stove waiting for him to make his own supper. I was on the couch. After he ate I asked him to get in the shower so that when he was done he could watch the dogs and I was going to bed. Went to bed around 7 PM to watch TV. The pain in my side was better, but I was still having cold chills and sweating like crazy. Had a temperature of 99.1. Figured if it got to 101 I would go to the hospital. Of course it didn't take long for all the dogs to want to be on the bed with me. Soon Tony was in bed also since no one was in the living room with him. Just as I was feeling better around 8 PM, the pain in my lower back came back like crazy. Rolled around on the bed for about 15 minutes in pain. Went away for a half hour and came back one last time. Of course Tony was snoring away by this time and it was only about 8:30 PM or 9 PM. After that last round of pain, and I am talking pain. Felt like some shoving a knife in my back and twisting it. The pain finally went away about a half hour later and I was able to get a good night's sleep.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM feeling good. Much better than the day prior. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Got showered after reading a little of the newspaper. Around 9:30 AM I left the house to get Kali's antibiotic at her vet, since we are keeping her on it for another round. Then went to ARCW to get my monthly meds. I was suppose to pick them up yesterday afternoon with my board meeting, but I never made the meeting due to my pain. Came home and spent some time talking to my mom on the phone before meeting the guys for lunch. Mind you I have not had anything but 8 crackers to eat since Wednesday. Had a great lunch, ate little of the french fries thinking I should eat light being my first food in a while. After talking to my mom and friends at lunch I think what I had or have, is a kidney stone. Did a little research on the Internet and it does sound like it. Especially the part of 'some people say it is the worst pain they have ever experienced'. Of course if it is a kidney stone it either means it is still in me and just moved to another spot not bothering me, or I passed it some time during the night when I peed. I sure hope I passed it, but I was told I would know if I did because of the pain as it leaves my body. The alternative of it having to be removed if it flares up again doesn't sound very fun either. So I guess I wait and see. I did call my doctor today and asked the nurse what I should do if it flares up again over the weekend. She told me if it flares up again to go to emergency right away. So who knows what my weekend will be like. I did tell Tony at lunch to prepare for the emergency visit if it is a kidney stone and flares up again. The pain is that bad and if it flares up again after all this time I know it has to be a kidney stone. Came home from lunch and took a nice two hour nap with the dogs. Although I slept last night, I was up many times during the night, so I needed a nap. Will just make a light supper tonight. Salads and a pot pie. We were suppose to go to a fund raiser tonight but the friends we have lunch with are all getting together tonight to relax and talk at an others house, so I think we will go there instead of the fundraiser. Never give up a chance to be with good friends and good conversation. I truly love these guys and they got me through this HIV with our friendship and Friday lunches. No plans this weekend after tonight. Suppose to be a little above freezing all weekend, but not by much. Hoping to just relax this weekend with Tony, the dogs, and some good movies. Hopefully not in the hospital. Thanks for all your warm wishes and comments. I honestly should have gone to emergency with the pain I was in. If it was something worse I might have been too late. Will go if the pain returns.

March 21, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Woke up this morning with extreme pain in bowel and intestines area. Spent all day debating if I was going to go to emergency. The pain is that bad. I have had nothing to eat since I can't even keep the water I am drinking down. Not sure what this is but I am not a happy guy. Looking forward to Tony coming home so he can take care of the dogs so I can go to bed. I am starting to think I caught some bug since the pain has moved into my legs and I just feel like crap and sleeping. I thought at one point it might be my appendix since the pain on my right side was so bad this afternoon. Still thinking it might be. Have had cold chills all day and sweating away. Also been throwing up all day, in fact I think I just threw up this afternoon's water I drank all afternoon.
Sure hope tomorrow is a better day. If this pain doesn't go away soon I might just go to emergency.

March 20, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Splash, Revenge on the DVR and the Smash in bed. Went to sleep around 10:30 PM after the news.
This morning I was up before 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Read the morning newspapers, showered, and left the house by 9:30 AM. Stopped first at Walgreen's to pick up a prescription for Tony. Then went to CVS Pharmacy to check out the Dr Scholls foot machine and make a shoe insert. Then went through the McDonald's drive thru for some breakfast on my way to Pick N Save. Did the weekly grocery shopping. Thankfully after I paid, and was walking away, I thought to myself 'that was expensive', and checked my receipt. I was charged $30 for a $15 item. Guess the kid put in the wrong code when he entered it manually. Had to go to the service desk and get my $15 refunded. Always pays to know about what things will cost and and then check the receipt if you think something is not right. Came home and spent the afternoon doing things around the house while I listened to The Pet Shop Boys. Got me thinking how things have changed when it comes to listening to music. When I was young you bought singles, albums or cassettes, and eventually CD's. You had to listen to the entire album whether you liked every song or not. That, or pile the singles on the record player. Now you can load all your digital music, which I have a ton of on this computer, and load it into a media player, just the songs you like, from various artists. So much nicer to listen to just the songs you like rather than having to listen to an entire CD for a couple good songs. I guess I am showing my age. Making some No Name Steaks, mashed potatoes and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol and then go to bed early for some loving since we have not the last couple days, and I feel the need. It is very cold again in Milwaukee. Sunny but in the 20s and windy. I know I have been complaining about the weather here in Milwaukee. Here is a good graphic of this March vs last March. I think you will now understand.
March 19, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Dancing With The Stars and then the series final of Deception. Went to sleep after the local news around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony out the door. Spent the morning reading the two newspapers I get, The Milwaukee Journal and the USA Today. Did a little cleaning here and there, and listened to some music on the couch with the dogs in the afternoon. Got caught up on my inbox emails. Didn't want to leave the house today because of the cold. It is sunny outside but the thermometer says it is 20 degrees. It is very windy making the wind chill or feel like temperature about 10 degrees above zero. Too damn cold to go outside if you don't have to. Making BBQ beef sandwiches and mac and cheese, with a salad, for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching Splash, Dancing With The Stars and then Smash before we go to bed tonight. This week is our 24th anniversary of Tony and I meeting, having our first dinner together, and making love for the first time. I think I tell this story each year, but is worth repeating. It was Tuesday March 20th, 1989 and I went out for some drinks at the Triangle Bar downtown. I walked into the bar and Tony was sitting at the bar talking to another guy. I sat down next to Tony. I had known Tony by seeing him in the bars and always thought he was a stud and so handsome. Since I had been in a relationship until recently I could not put a move on him. I was single now. Started talking to Tony and we hit it off right away. The guy on the other side of Tony was trying to pick Tony up also. As the night went on we finally decided at bar time to meet at a 24 hour coffee / chili restaurant downtown. I did not know downtown Milwaukee well and almost got lost finding the restaurant. We sat for hours talking. As we left the restaurant Tony threw me up against the car and started kissing me. Our first kiss. Said our goodbyes and exchanged phone numbers. The next day was a Wednesday and I had the day off from work. I called Tony at his work. At first I could tell he was a little confused as to who I was. Found out much later it was because he had met another guy named Dave who he went home with, just the prior weekend. So Tony did not know which Dave it was until we talked for a while. Decided to meet for supper at a restaurant named Palarmo Villa. Had a great dinner and conversation. I do remember Tony having terrible breath. Found out later it was because he never made it home from the bar or restaurant the night before with me since he got locked out of his apartment and spent the night at his auto body shop. So he had not even been home yet from the night before. Tony had a group therapy meeting at 7 PM that night so we ate a quick supper and then said goodbye. I remember him throwing me against the hood of the car again and giving me a huge kiss. That night after he got home from his therapy we talked on the phone for hours. He then told me he had a date with the guy he met over the weekend the next night, but promised just to go the 'the game they had tickets for' and then would come right home and call me. Funny how possessive I was right from the start. Also funny how we just knew we were right for each other, yet he couldn't cancel on the guy he just met. I guess that made Tony a nice guy? The Thursday night of his date with the guy Tony was home and called me by 11 PM. We talked on the phone until about 2 AM in the morning. Friday night I had to work late so we could not meet again. You know us gays, we move quick. Talked on the phone late Friday night and decided to meet on Saturday night and go out to his Dad's bar. Met Tony Saturday night around 7 PM at his apartment. A one room efficiency since he had just moved out of a relationship with another guy a couple weeks ago. We had a great time Saturday night at his Dad's bar and I got to meet the family, brothers, sisters, dad. At bar time we went back to his apartment. I thought ahead and actually packed an over night bag. What a tramp hey? That Saturday night, March 24, 1989 we made love for the first time. It was so nice. Spent the night at Tony's apartment. That next morning we got up early so we could go back to my apartment and check on my dogs. I had two Pomeranian at that time and my ex, who I still lived with, was taking care of them for the night but was going out of town on that Sunday. So Tony and I went to my apartment to meet the dogs. I will never forget as I was getting out of the shower I looked through the crack of the door and Tony was on the floor playing with the dogs, rolling around on the floor. In my mind HE PASSED THE PUPPY TEST. We ended up eventually going back to his apartment for the night Sunday night since my ex and I had an arrangement as to not bring anyone home while we still lived together. Honestly, the first time I saw Tony's apartment I should have ran for the hills. Closet filled with laundry, dirty dishes piled in the sink, and a stack of unpaid bills, months worth, sitting on the kitchen table. Guess it was a good thing I didn't run since we have been together now going on 24 years this week. We moved in together by the beginning of May. The rest is history. I do enjoy telling this story since I do think it is so romantic. I had a crush on Tony for years and the minute I saw him single I honesty thought 'he is going to be mine'. I also remember our date on Saturday night, March 20th, 1989 that when I walked into Tony's apartment he was all dressed up. Found out later he actually went clothes shopping that afternoon just to look nice for me. Tony hates to shop, so this was a big deal for him and for me. I don't think I would change a thing.

March 18, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Did very little all day Saturday. We did take a nice long nap in the afternoon with the dogs. Fed the dogs supper and in a little while we headed out the door to have supper at a friends house. Had a great supper and conversation with friends. Got home around 9:30 PM and after a little TV watching we went to bed.
Sunday morning we were again up by 7 AM. After reading the Sunday morning newspaper we both colored our hair with Just For Men, showered, and then went to pick up Tony's mom and take her out for breakfast. Yah, we still color our hair. I will be 52 next month and still can't get over all the grey. After breakfast we stopped off at Big Lots to buy some items. Bought a new poop scooper since I broke the one we had that morning on the ice chipping away at the poop. Bought a hoe like tool instead since it was cheaper than a dog poop scoop. The pet store wanted $20 for a poop scooper, $20! I am not spending $20 to pick up dog poop. Got home a little before noon and by 1 PM we went to the bedroom to watch an adult movie, do the lovin thing, and take a nap. Tony napped after the lovin, I got up and did things around the house, checking on him and the dogs as they napped and snored. Ordered a pizza from a new pizza restaurant here on the Eastside and had it delivered. Was a very good pizza and will order from them again. Spent the night watching Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist, before going to sleep around 10 PM.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Since I had bought a new Swiffer Duster yesterday, I spent the morning dusting the house, ceiling fans and all. The house is now very clean and I think the wood work even shines. Took a nice two hour nap with the dogs this afternoon. It has been snowing all day in Milwaukee today. It is 32 degrees and a fluffy wet snow. Suppose to get about 2 inches by the time it ends in an hour or so. Will have to go out and shovel when it stops. Making a Hormel beef roast, noodles and salad for supper tonight. Tonight is the start of Dancing With The Stars. I love this show and will be settled in watching when it starts. Will finish off the night watching Hawaii Five O.

March 17, 2013 Sunday Afternoon
I got the following email on Friday. Worth passing on. Sounds like a great book.
Hi Dave,
I'm writing to you because I really enjoy your blog and the benefit you
blog is to the community. I wanted to share with you that I have just published
my first children's book and am looking to create a "grassroots" buzz about it
through the blogosphere. I am specifically reaching out to you because the
subject of my children's book is about AIDS and HIV. A young girl hears about an
AIDS Walk at school and asks her mom what that means. She learns about AIDS and
is moved to help people living with AIDS and HIV by participating in the walk
and raising money. Its a really amazing book and sends a great message to
children. I was hoping you would mention it on your blog, perhaps linking it to Amazon and help a new author get a great message out.

March 15, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol and Glee. Went to the bedroom and watched an hour of some home buying show where they auction off houses. Did the lovin thing, again, damn that's every day this week, and then went to sleep.
This morning at 6:30 AM I heard Tony yell into the bedroom 'the TV bulb went out'. Damn, time to get out of bed. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Thankfully I had planned ahead for our 60 inch projection TV and bought a bulb housing for it online knowing they only last 6 months to 2 years. We are going on two years, third bulb in 4 years, so I had one as back up. Of course it was an off name brand bulb for only $69 online where the Mitsubishi website sells them for $250. Tony and I tried for almost an hour to get the new bulb housing to slide and click into the back of the TV. Tony finally left for work leaving me to figure it out. I was pretty much ready to just give up and say the bulb doesn't fit and we would be out buying a new TV tonight. I am not going to spend $250 on a manufacture bulb only to have it last 6 months. Would rather just break down and buy a flat screen TV and dump this projection TV. Decided to take the TV off the stand and put it face down on the floor so I could force the bulb in. CLICK! It worked. Turned on the TV and all is well again in TV watching land. Will now have to buy another back up bulb since you never know how long they will last and being without our living room big screen TV is not an option with all the TV we watch. Spent the rest of the morning cleaning up the mess and reading the newspaper. I was pretty shocked at the amount of dust in and around the back of the TV. Vacuumed it out good. Met Tony and the guys for lunch. Had a great lunch as usual. Stopped off at Walgreen's to buy another foot insert and pick up Tony's pain pill prescription. I am able to walk OK with a foot insert that help my high arch and doesn't make me put so much pressure on the front of my foot. Spent the rest of the afternoon listening to music and doing things around the house. Will just make left over spaghetti and a salad for supper tonight. Only plans this weekend is dinner at a friends house on Saturday night. It is snowing lightly outside right now and about 32 degrees. Suppose to get maybe an inch of snow tonight. No warm up in sight and in the high twenties or low thirties all weekend.

March 14, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Watched the last hour of DVR TV in bed. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM listening to my IPod music.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. Showered and before I left for McDonald's, the bank, and Pick N Save, I talk to my mom on the phone for about a half hour catching up on things in both our lives. So funny how when I call my mom and dad, when dad answers the phone, after we talk a bit he yells 'Sandy, it's your favorite son on the phone'. Makes me feel good and smile. Got the grocery shopping done and came home. Spent the day just laying around listening to music trying to stay off my foot. Been listening to Bruno Mars, Pink and Kelly Clarkson all afternoon. Did a little cleaning and vacuumed the house also. The Mourning Dove showed up this morning in the nest for a while like she has been doing this past week. Was able to show Tony the bird in the camera before he left for work. Making sweet and sour chicken and rice tonight with a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR so I can fast forward through commercials. Was sunny all morning and then the clouds came in this afternoon. It is only about 28 degrees outside here in Milwaukee again today. No sign of Spring even in the next week's forecast.

March 13, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent the night watching the past two episodes of The Walking Dead from the DVR. Went to the bedroom to watch Smash and then did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and listening to some music. My favorite music right now is Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson. I love the new Bruno Mars CD and his past work. Sounds like a cross between Prince and Michael Jackson. Left the house a little after noon to go to McDonald's for a dollar McDouble on my way to my 1 PM meeting at ARCW to discuss next weeks agenda for the board meeting. Picked up my anti inflammatory prescription at the pharmacy and my monthly food from the pantry before I left. Stopped off at Tony's shop to drop off some of the food we will not eat. Came home and spent the afternoon watching TV. Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will most likely watch TV from the DVR again tonight since it looks like all reruns on TV. My toe and foot is about the same. The inserts in my shoes are a big help but I can't have my shoes on all day. So I am back to the padded slippers as I type this blog. Taped up my toe again this morning after my shower like the doctor did yesterday. It was sunny all day today in Milwaukee but it did little to the temperature. It got to about 28 degrees today. Tony is at the doctor right now regarding his chest and rib pain from his fall on the ice. I am sure he will come home with a big prescription of pain pills, so he will be happy. Now I have to just keep track of them so he doesn't eat them like candy, finish his prescription, and then want my pain pills. I keep telling him if he is in so much pain he should be home more and not working such long hours. Heck, he is the owner and boss, he can make his own hours. Got my tax refund today which for some reason was half I thought I was going to get. Still a refund so I am happy. Will put it in saving to spend on the work I will have to do upstairs when the tenants move. I know we have to put in a new kitchen counter and sink and new carpet in the kitchen, much less paint the place. So it will be about a $1000 to get the place ready to rent again. We have put little money into the unit so I don't feel bad making some upgrades and hopefully getting a little higher rent. Kali is again a bit better, still showing affects of the Vertigo by hanging her head to the side and still a bit unstable. I did give her her antibiotic this morning in her food and told Tony to watch and make sure she ate it. Of course he said he watched, but I found the pill on the floor a half hour later and had to give it to her with some can food. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to ask the other half to do something when you know you will do it right yourself. How can her skin condition get better if Kali doesn't take her pill? I tell Tony weekly it scares the hell out of me to wonder what the household would be like if something happened to me. Of course his reply is he will have 'someone else here to do it'. Honestly I think it will be very hard to find someone to fill my shoes here at home. Speaking of shoes, here is a picture of my sore toe in bandages.

March 12, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching The Impossible and Deception before trying to sleep. Could not sleep. Around 11 PM I finally got up and got my IPod and spent and hour or more listening to Bruno Mars in bed. Think I finally fell asleep a little before 3 AM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Read a little of the newspaper and then took a shower since I knew we had an 11 AM vet appointment to take Bo and Stella to get their nails cut and pick up Kali's antibiotic. Got out of the shower and as I was putting on my last sock, the phone rang. It was the foot doctor I tried to get an appointment with yesterday and was told I could not see him until May 7th. Also the same doctor I left a message on his supervisors phone yesterday asking why I have to wait two months to see a doctor in the USA. My grandma always told me 'the squeaky wheel gets the grease'. So I guess it was good I spoke up and wondered why a person would have to wait two months and them not hiring more foot doctors at the medical clinic here at St Mary's Hospital. The doctor asked me what was wrong and then asked if I could be there in a half hour. I quickly thought '9:45 AM at the doctor, how will I get the dogs to the vet by 11 AM, but I can't miss this opportunity for this appointment'. I must have been thinking out loud because the doctor then told me he would have me in and out and I should be able to still have the dogs to their vet by 11 AM. So I quickly let the dogs all out to pee and back in, and left to go to see the foot doctor. Only had to wait about 10 minutes in the waiting room and then saw the doctor shortly after being taken to the room. Handsome young guy, always makes for a much more pleasant doctor appointment. Thankfully I was showered. LOL. The doctor felt my foot up and down and did some pushing and pulling. He then showed me how my second toe is dislocated and not connected well and I have damaged the bone behind the toe, maybe even a break. Told me to get an Xray and gave me some anti inflammatory meds I have to pick up tomorrow. He taped up my toe and put a pad under the front of my foot to take the weight off. Told me to stay off my feet for the next month as much as possible and showed me some foot exercised to do. Also to see him in a month. He then told me I could buy these foot inserts at the local shoe store or wear a medical cast boot. I opted for the insert rather than a cast boot. Left the doctor and got home just in time for Tony to come home and we then took the two dogs to the vet. Got their nails all cut nice and Kali's antibiotic. Came home with the dogs after stopping at McDonald's for some dollar hamburgers and french fries. After Tony went back to work I went back to the medical clinic to get my foot xray. Went pretty smooth and will find out the results when the doctor calls me. Came home and after a little while I figured since it was a little after 1 PM I could either go to the store and buy the shoe inserts or take a nap. Drove to the shoe store and bought the inserts called Superfeet Green for a high arch and wide foot. The clerk was very nice and put the inserts in my shoes and got them all fit right. Paid the $41 for the inserts. Would not have ever paid this much for shoe inserts, but hell, I have a broken toe. Drove home and after I was home for a while I took an hour nap with the dogs on the bed. Funny how some days when you wake up with 'the plan' of the day in your head, it goes a totally different way. I guess this turned out good because the doctor told me if I had not seen him and done anything about my foot it would not have healed properly and I would have bigger problems going forward. Taping up my toe ever day for the next month isn't going to be fun. Making some chicken corden blue, noodles, beans and salad for supper tonight. Tony will come home in pain, he goes back to his doctor tomorrow for his pain from his ice fall. As you get older, falls on the ice take a bigger toll on your body. Will just spend the night watching TV, most likely a little lovin before we go to bed. Got to 32 degrees today but was cloudy. Ice everywhere from the light snow and rain we got over night. Noticed for a second the Mourning Dove in the next this morning. Watched it on the camera sitting on the nest. So I guess come Sping I will have Mourning Doves to watch in their nest. This will be the third year they returned.

March 11, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Tony came home with shoulder pain and informed me just how much pain he was in. When I noticed how many pain pills he had been taking, we had a little talk. Told him if he is in such pain and has to take so many pills he should not be working 12 hour days. Went to bed around 10 PM for a little lovin and then sleep.
Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM. Tony told me he had to go to the shop between 11 AM and noon to have a car towed to his shop. A friend of ours had a roll over accident and Tony is fixing his car. Of course, once again, I spent that time and the early afternoon waiting for him to come home. I do realize he can't make a car get there faster, but having a better idea of when the car will arrive would be nice. Tony did not come home until a little before 3 PM in the afternoon. I did go to Pick N Save while he was gone to buy some sale items, but spent the day just watching TV waiting for him to come home. After he got home we took a short nap. Made hamburgers for supper with a salad. Spent Saturday night watching the movie The Snowtown Murders. Weird movie, was hard to follow, but very good. About a serial killing family and friends in Australia. Hard to understand what the people in the movie are saying at times with their strong Australian accents. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Looked out the window to see my two Mourning Doves sitting on the deck rails. Hopefully they will nest again this year in the side yard under the Batmobile with the camera, so I can watch it all. This will be the third year these or the kids have returned to this nest. I think they are watching the nest area to see if it is once again safe this year for them. It rained all day Sunday here in Milwaukee. We spent the morning watching Most Shocking Videos on Tru TV, then watch Mama Mia for the unteenth time before going to the bed and taking a nice two hour nap with Tony and the dogs. Spent Sunday night watching Amazing Race, Good Wife and Mentalist before doing the lovin thing and going to sleep.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. It rained again all day so I spent the day cleaning, dusting, and napping. I did also clean the back hallway. Was told the other day our upstairs tenants will be moving out soon. He said he will give 30 days notice. So in the next couple months I will have to get the apartment ready to rent, once they leave, loose a months rent fixing the place, and then looking for a new tenant for the apartment. I do like our current tenants but am looking forward to someone new who can hopefully take care of our dogs so we can get out of town for a vacation. We have not left the house for a vacation in eight years because of Stella and the sick dogs we have. Making pork ribs, potatoes and salad for supper tonight. Tony will come home tired and in pain. I saw him grab his bottle of pain pills when he walked out the door this morning. Will have to count them, he eats them like candy. They are not candy and if he uses all his up, he will then want to use mine. I am very protective of my pain pills because I need them. Will most likely spend the night watching The Following and Deception before going to bed. I did make an appointment at the foot doctor today. My regular doctor called last Friday and recommended this doctor. I have something in the ball of my left foot that should not be there when I walk. I was not happy to hear the soonest he can see me is May 7th. That is two months away. Took the appointment but left a message with the supervisor saying this was unacceptable since we are the USA and not a third world country. Not sure I can wait two months to find out what is in my ball of my foot making stepping on it uncomfortable. I was then told to call my insurance company and see what they say or who they recommend. What? Not happy about this. Called the vet today to get Kali another round of antibiotics since her under arms are leaking something horrible. She has a bad skin condition and no matter how much I bath her I am still putting baby powder on her several times a day. Tomorrow we take Stella and Bo to the vet at 11 AM to get their nails cut. Figured it best to just take them in together since they cry when they are apart. Plus I hate taking the dogs for nail trims since then I am the 'bad daddy' giving them pain from the nail cutting. Stella has big thick nails. I can not cut them and can't even watch when they do cut them. Will pick up Kali's antibiotic when we are there.

March 8, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Went out to eat last night at Butch's Steak House. Had a nice 12 oz fillet. Brought a little home for tonight's supper. Got home around 8 PM and spent the night watching TV with the dogs. Went to bed around 9:30 PM and had a good night's sleep. Kali slept soundly all night with a light on.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. As I was feeding the dogs I got the feeling like I needed to throw up. So in between filling the Insulin syringe, getting the dog bowls out, putting can and then dry food in the bowls, and giving Kali her pill, I was going back and forth to the sink throwing up. Haven't had to start my day like this in a while thankfully. Of course Tony just stood there during this, not helping in any way. Sometimes you just want to slug em. Got the dogs fed and Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper. Left the house around 10 AM to go to Walgreen's to pick up some prescriptions and sale items. Came home and packed up the cake and plates to bring to lunch with the guys to celebrate Tony's Birthday. Had a great lunch at a different restaurant than we usually go to each Friday. Figured since Tony would pay for lunch we would try something different. Everyone had a great lunch and cake. Eight of us showed up today for lunch. Came home and about 2 PM I pushed myself out the door to go for a walk along the river trails. Some days you just have to push yourself to do these things. I am always so glad I went, when the walk is over. I always feel so good and need the exercise. It is about 34 degrees and sunny today in Milwaukee. The snow on the roof is melting fast and dripping down the windows. Will just make some left overs for supper tonight with a salad. Most likely watch TV from the DVR or watch a movie. Kali is again a bit better today. I did see her fall once when walking, loosing her balance. But she is now walking up and down stairs to go outside and up onto the couch with little problem. Still scares me to watch since she is still a little unbalanced. No plans this weekend. Suppose to be a rainy weekend. Will most likely melt most of the snow which is a good thing because it is over a foot deep in places. I am sure the yard will be a puddle of water if we get the rain they are saying is coming our way for the weekend. Good weekend to just stay indoors and watch movies or TV.

March 7, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV. Tony did go to the doctor yesterday and had xrays taken on his shoulder and ribs. Guess he damaged some cartilage and will take 6 weeks to heal. He is in pain. Went to bed around 9 PM to watch TV in bed. Ended up doing the loving thing and then went to sleep. Funny how no matter how much pain a man is in, if you offer him sex, the pain goes away for a while.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Since it is Tony's Birthday I thought I would get up with him and try to get as many of his duties done as possible before he goes to work. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and sent the Birthday boy off to work. Kali is again better today than yesterday. She can now walk on her own and goes outside to pee on her own also. She still holds her head off to the side and walks a little sideways, but for the most part, she is OK. I still am keeping an eye on her so she doesn't jump up onto things and fall. The vet did give us something for her nausea and we have been giving it to her. I think the first night's throwing up was because we made the room dark. We slept with a light on again last night. Hopefully tonight we can sleep with the lights off. Went to the grocery store this morning to buy a Birthday cake and flowers for Tony to go along with the card I got him. Did a little shoveling of the snow out back since it is sunny 34 degrees outside and the snow is melting if you get it off the driveway. It melts faster not being 8 inches thick. Tonight we will go out for a nice steak dinner for Tony's Birthday. Will go to Butches Steak House here in Milwaukee because they have the best steaks. Of course it will be an expensive dinner, but the Birthday only comes around once a year, and no guarantee there will be another. Got a nice double chocolate cake to take to lunch with the guys tomorrow afternoon. So Tony will have to wait for cake until then. So glad Kali is getting better. She will be going on 14 years old this July, so every day I cherish.

March 6, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
After supper, and after Tony took his shower, I went outside to shovel the snow that fell all afternoon. Took me almost an hour to do the side, front and back alley area. Tony stayed in the house with Kali. Went to the bed around 9 PM to watch the last hour of TV in bed. Got an idea to keep a light on in the bedroom all night so Kali wouldn't be so dizzy and hopefully not throw up like last night. Figured the throwing up started after I turned the lights off and she then had nothing to focus on in the dark. Seemed to work great and we slept all night, with a light on.
This morning I got up at 6 AM with Tony since Kali was ready to go outside and needed to be carried outside. Had to carry Vito and Kali off the bed and then get them outside. Kali seemed a little better than the day prior. She could at least stand on her own to pee and poop without falling or me needing to hold her. Still too unstable to go up stairs or ramps, or be jumping up on the couch. Spent the morning trading between being with the dogs and going outside for a while and chipping away at the snow and ice. Since it is 33 degrees today I figured the more I get off the ground the better for melting. Tried to take a nap with the dogs but between the phone calls I just gave up and got up. Kali's vet called to say her blood tests came back good and doctor wanted to know how she was doing. Told her she is getting better with each day and hopefully tomorrow she will be almost back to normal. Actually today is the hardest of all the days since the past two days she has not wanted to walk around much due to her being so unstable and dizzy. Today she thinks she is doing better but still falls into walls and not walking straight, like a drunk person. So it is even harder today to try to keep her calm and quiet. Every time I walk into the other room she wants to follow me. One of the other phone calls was Tony saying he is going to urgent care for his shoulder pain. He slipped and fell into a car fender last week and thinks he bruised or cracked a rip. So he is probably there now getting an xray and a doctor visit. His pain has been getting worse rather than better with each day and being an open heart patient it is best to make sure he didn't damage some wiring or ribs that might go into the wiring of his chest. Yah, after they crack your chest open they wire you shut. I can feel the wires on his chest in places. Earlier in the week I called my HIV doctor and asked if we could include a Testosterone blood exam with my next blood panel in June. Got the new paperwork for the blood tests in the mail today for the June exam, including the Testosterone test. I have been so tired and moody lately and thought since I have never gotten this test before done, and I have all the blood drawn anyway, get it tested. My shoulder and arm pain is about the same. Not going to get better with all this heavy snow shoveling I have been doing. Pain pills are helping. Just making left over spaghetti for supper tonight with a salad. Will most likely spend the night watching TV with the dogs. I am hoping Tony's doctor tells him to take some time off work. He never does, and needs it. Tomorrow is Tony's 52nd Birthday. Got him a card, will go buy a cake at the grocery store if Kali lets me leave the house tomorrow. We had talked about going out for supper at a nice steak restaurant tomorrow night for his Birthday. Guess the health of us and the dogs will be the key factor if we indeed do go out. I can't believe I am with a 52 year old man. Or that I will be 52 in April. When did we get so old and where did the years go? It is nice to know I am still very attracted to my 52 year old man. I still think he is handsome and would go after him today if we were both single.

When did we get so old and where did the years go? It is nice to know I am still very attracted to my 52 year old man. I still think he is handsome and would go after him today if we were both single.

March 5, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night close to Kali on the couch. As long as she could sit next to me and see me she was fine. Tony got home a little after 6 PM and I started supper then, while Tony watched Kali. Made some salads and a frozen pizza. Spent the night watching The Following and then went to bed to watch Deception. Right as the TV show ended at 10 PM Kali was panting and shaking. Knew something was wrong. Heard her stomach gurgling and got her off the bed just in time for her to throw up on the wood floor rather than the bed or carpet. Tony jumped out of bed to grab paper towel and clean it up. Got her back to bed and a half hour later, same thing. About a half hour later, a little after 11 PM she was shaking and wanted to get off the bed. With this Old Dog Vestibular disease she has no balance and just falls over when she tries to walk. Carried her outside and she pooped all over the yard, falling, me holding her, pooping more, and so on. Obviously all the poop she didn't get out all day. Got her back to bed and as the night went on we were up at 1:30 AM and 2:30 AM when I heard her gagging and got her off the bed to throw up again. Must be a wild ride she is on that she is so dizzy from this. Finally got to sleep a little after 3 AM.
At 7 AM I heard Kali stirring, she had some how gotten off the bed and was throwing up bile in the corner of the bedroom. Jumped out of bed and at the same time Tony looked at the clock and jumped out of bed also. He usually leaves for work around this time. Cleaned up the mess again, another roll of paper towels. Tony quickly got ready for work while I did the morning routine of feeding them and giving Vito his shot, all while holding Kali with one hand to hold her and stand. Gave Kali about half I usually do and a pill to help with her upset stomach. Tony left for work by 7:30 AM. Spent the morning watching the snow fall and keeping Kali close. Not much I can do since she is scared to death wondering why she feels so dizzy, but be near her and sit next to her. Made it through the morning without her throwing up. Took the dogs to bed for a couple hours this afternoon. Of course this now mean grabbing the blind dog and getting him on the bed, and then grabbing Kali and putting her in a safe spot on the bed, and then getting the other two dogs settled. Around 2:30 PM I snuck out of bed and went out front and shoveled the four plus inches of snow that has fallen during today. By the time I got in the house Kali was at the edge of the bed wanting to get off. Came in just in time. Got her off the bed, and Vito off the bed, and took them all outside to pee. Kali is getting a little bit better on her feet. Although when she tried to go up the ramp, I caught her as she fell to her side. She is not able just yet to walk on her own and I don't want my almost 14 year old dog getting hurt falling. Got Vito and Kali situated on the couch and ran out back to do a little shoveling behind the garage. 'Stay' being the key word as I do anything. By the time I came in she was looking for me again. Will have to wait until Tony gets home to do a good shoveling while he sits next to her. Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will obviously just be spending the night trying to get Kali through another day. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better and the next a bit better, each day gaining her balance. Good thing I have been through this before or I would be in a panic. Not fun to watch your little baby acting like a drunk sailor. Glad the computer is here in the living room, Kali is on the couch, 10 feet away watching me, wondering when I am coming back to hold her. OK, back to Kali's side.

March 4, 2013 Monday Afternoon
The word for the day is Vertigo. More on this later.
Friday night we spent the night watching the movies Sinister and Lake Placid The Final Chapter. Sinister was good. Lake Placid was just a horror movie and very stupid. Went to bed around 10 PM for a little lovin and then to sleep.
Saturday I spent the day around the house. Tony worked a half day and when he got home and showered, we took a long nap Saturday afternoon. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM to watch SNL. When I saw the host, not someone I knew, we turned off the TV and did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
Sunday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Mad eggs and bacon with a bagel for breakfast. Around noon I took a walk up the street, two blocks, and bought the weekly lottery tickets. Came home and begged Tony to go for a walk along the river trails. He did not want to, said it was too cold. It was only 28 degrees outside but the sun was out. So I went by myself and took a nice hour walk along the river. Came home and made BBQ ribs and salads for supper. Spent the night watching a couple episodes of Body Of Proof and then Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist, before doing the loving thing and then going to bed.
This morning I heard Tony yell into the bedroom around 6 AM 'you better get out of bed, something is wrong with Kali'. Jumped out of bed to find Kali in the kitchen not able to stand. Tony said she woke up like this. My first thought was Vertigo, or Vestibular Old Dog Disease. I dealt with this with Buddy many years ago. Comes on all at once and the dog can not stand or get itself level in the head. She is blinking like a type writer and head hanging to the side. Fed the dogs as Tony held her. Put her down and held her up as she ate. Got her outside and held her to pee. Tony left for work and at 8 AM I called the vet and made an 11 AM appointment. Tony came home a little before the appointment and drove us there. $160 dollars later, yes, Vestibular Disease is most likely what she has. It takes a few days for the dog to get better from this and all you can do is sit with them and make sure they don't try to walk or they will hurt them self. Spent the afternoon on the couch with the dogs, one hand on Kali. Will just make a pizza tonight after Tony gets home from work and spend the night with Kali on the couch. Poor thing can hardly keep her head up without looking drunk. Have to get back to Kali, but wanted to post. Will write more tomorrow. Getting a big snow storm tonight. Suppose to get up to 8 inches or more of snow tomorrow. Wish Winter would just end.

March 1, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Went to the bedroom and watched the last hour of TV in bed before going to sleep around 10 PM. My body was in pain.
Got up this morning a little before 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. Gave Kali a bath. Her skin condition is getting almost as bad as Barkley's was near the end of his life. Kali now wears a collar cone 24 hours a day or she will lick her under arms bloody. I started putting baby powder on her under arms. At times you can touch them and they are wet from sweat or something. She is going on 14 years old. I think they are hot flashes. The baths, cone and baby powder seem to help. Plus the allergy half a pill I give her each morning with food. If I couldn't keep this under control I would have her to the vet. Left the house around 11 AM to buy something at Walgreen's that they were out of. Drove to Tony's shop to pick him up for lunch and check out the 'kinda cute' guy that was at the shop changing out all his fluorescent lights from 8 foot to 4 foot since they will stop making 8 foot fluorescent light bulbs soon and he got a good deal changing them all out at both his auto body shops through our electric company. The guy was not cute and I told Tony to put on his glasses next time he tells me someone cute is at the shop. Had a great lunch with the guys. Was one of the guys Birthday's so he paid the bill and brought an ice cream cake to share. Dropped Tony off at work and came home for the afternoon. Would have loved to go for a walk but it is windy and cold in Milwaukee today. Only in the low 20s and cloudy. Spent the afternoon watching TV on the couch and reading some magazines. One of the two tenants called and talked to me in the back hallway this afternoon, telling me he is moving out the first of April. Thankfully the lease is in the other roommates name so it will have little effect and he can leave with no problems. The other guy makes enough to cover the rent for a while and I think his girlfriend might move in, which would be fine. If the time comes we need to find a new tenant I will find one who can take care of my dogs for at least a night so Tony and I can have a vacation of some kind. Making left overs and chicken noodle soup for supper tonight. No plans this weekend and will most likely spend the night watching TV and the weekend doing much of the same. Less money gets spent if we stay home, so that is fine with me. The back alley is a mess. The 10 inches of snow is now ice and since no one shovels the alley, it is now just tire tracks down the alley and you can not turn the wheels. Thankfully I shoveled in back of the garage and our area so we can turn the wheels into the car spots or garage. Others are getting stuck. Not going to change much until later next week when 40s is fore casted.
