Yesterday afternoon I had a board meeting at ARCW that went from noon until a little after 2 PM. Picked up my monthly HIV prescriptions when I was there at the pharmacy. Came home and laid back on the couch listening to some music. Around 3:45 PM the dogs went jumping off the couch heading for the back door. I waited and soon Tony came around the corner into the living room. I asked him what he was doing home and he said 'I'm home'. I asked again, why are you home so early and he said 'because I can'. OK. Threw me totally off schedule and didn't even think until after dinner that I had not posted that day like I usually do. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR before going to bed for a little lovin before sleep. I did find out the meeting at MADACC regarding the fight dogs went very good and a lot of people including the news showed up at the meeting. Two of our elected officials are working on new legislation so this never happen again and more importantly that these dogs are not destroyed when they as evidence are no longer needed. I still can not believe these 15 dogs are considered evidence and not just dogs with a spirit and heart.
Got up this morning at 6 AM and fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Go up early because I knew from the night before weather report there would be snow on the ground. Got about 5 inches of snow. Before Tony could leave with the plow truck I shoveled the front sidewalk and back behind the garage so he could plow the alley. If I get out there before he plows I can shovel the snow into the middle of the alley and then he can move it from there with the plow to another area down the alley. Our area behind our house is now clear all the way to Center street. Read the morning newspapers when I was done shoveling a little after 8 AM. Cup of coffee sure tasted good as I warmed up from the cold. Showered and met Tony and the guys for our usual Friday laugh therapy lunch. Had a great lunch as usual. Love these guys. Came home and spent the afternoon doing some movie downloads and listening to Kelly Clarkson Greatest Hits. Downloaded it a while ago and had not listen to it even though I knew or heard most of the songs on the radio. Will just make some salads and chicken pot pies for supper tonight. I most likely will have to go out and shovel before supper because it has been snowing a little, but steady, all afternoon and another inch or so has piled up on the sidewalk. Better to get it shoveled up then have it turn to ice. Will spend the night watching TV from the DVR. Will most likely do a lot of that this weekend since we have no plans at this time. My shoulder is getting better from the fall on the ice a couple days ago. Just hurts to lay on it and reach above my head, but it is getting better. Was a little hard to sleep last night not being able to lay on my right side.

February 20, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Finished off the night watching Smash in bed with Tony and the dogs. Before bed I took another pain pill and an anti inflammatory pill for my shoulder pain from the fall on the ice earlier in the day. Was hard to find a comfortable way to sleep since I could not lay on my right side due to the pain in my shoulder.
This morning I got out of bed around 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony out the door for work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers we receive. Showered around 9 AM and went out the door at 10 AM to go grocery shopping. Stopped off at McDonald's for a bacon egg and cheese bagel and a sausage burrito for lunch. Got the grocery shopping done and saved about a third of the cost in double coupons and sale items. After being home a while I took another pain pill for my shoulder and laid on the bed listening to music with the dogs for a while. I love laying in bed with the dogs. Vito and Kali on the head pillows. Bo being spooned by Stella as he sleeps in her chest. I spooned Stella with my sore arm around the both of them. It was a three way spoonfest. I think it is my favorite time of the day when I can just lay there holding my dogs and thinking about life. Been a lot of activity regarding the fight dogs being kept at MADACC here in Milwaukee. Hopefully a bill is in the works and will be done in a month according to our elected officials. So many other stories are coming to light about the abuse these dogs receive at the shelters after they are saved from dog fighting rings. In Memphis over 43 dogs have died in their cages in the past year. A few are even missing, yes, missing. How can a civilized society allow this to happen to man's best friend? Had an interesting conversation with my sister today. We were talking about the dog fighting scandal and about the woman taking over MADACC. I told her 'if the world were run by women there would be more compasion'. My sister, surprisingly added, I think if the world were also run by 'gay people' there would be more compassion. Wow, this coming from a sister who 20 years ago told me she would raise her kids that my lifestyle is wrong. Guess people do change. Making some salads and chicken pot pies for supper tonight. We have tickets and are going to see the pay Sister Act here in Milwaukee. Should be a fun show. Hopefully Tony will not fall asleep while the play is going on like most times. Sunny but very cold in Milwaukee again today. It is 20 degrees outside but the wind makes it feel much colder. Heard a story on the news last night that the hospitals are filling up with people who have fallen and injured on the ice and snow. I believe it. I did it myself yesterday and can still feel the pain.

February 19, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Some days you wish you could just start over.
Got up this morning at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and cruising the Internet. Left the house at 11 AM. On my way out the door and rounding the garage, just as I was saying to myself to not slip on the ice, I slipped bad on the ice. Falling on my right shoulder. Funny how the first thing you do is look around to see if anyone saw you fall. LOL. Got myself off the ground and the snow brushed off and got in the car. If I didn't have to leave the house today I wouldn't. It is 10 degrees above zero with a wind chill below zero here in Milwaukee today. Since I had to go to the southwest side of town for the MADACC meeting to free the dogs, I decided to go to Menard's right down the street to buy an electric staple gun. Have a hand one but wanted one with more punch so I figured since my other electric one jammed and broke and I had a $20 gift certificate for Menard's, I would make the trip worth the while. Bought the stapler and a few other items at Menard's. Even walked around the store for ideas on my Summer projects I already am planning in my head. Had a ton of time to kill between Menard's and the 1 PM meeting so I went to Rocky's for a slice of pizza and bread sticks. Then sat in the car at MADACC for almost a half hour before I walked in the door at 12:45 PM to be told the meeting was canceled and rescheduled for Thursday. They said it was rescheduled because of the election today. Yah right. They just know how many of us are planning to show up at this meeting. I can not go on Thursday because I have another board meeting at ARCW. Drove home and found out after taking the stapler apart from the packaging that it does not work good and won't even put a staple in wood like the hand one can. Repackaged it up to return it. So now it was 2 PM, I have sore shoulder from falling on the ice, I wasted my time going to a meeting that didn't exist, and bought a stapler that now has to be returned. Figured it was time to lay on the bed with the dogs for a while. It is very windy today with the cold and the canopy over the bedroom window outside had been keeping us up at night and was again this afternoon as it kept flopping into the window. About a half hour into the nap I just got up and bundled up, went outside, and got out the big ladder and put some clips on the canopy so it can not flop against the house. At least I figure I got something accomplished now. Making a meat loaf, mashed potato, corn and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV and staying warm with the dogs. Time to take a pain pill for my shoulder pain. I have a feeling I messed up my shoulder bad.

February 18, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Friday night we spent the night watching TV. I got a phone call around 9 PM from someone at MADACC to respond to the message I had left early in the day. I talked, he talked, and soon I had had enough of his excuses about why these fight dogs have been locked up for almost two years. He actually had a laugh in his voice and said the reason for all this uproar is simply due to the fact it is 'February sweeps ratings month' on TV. I tried to explain to him again why people like me are so upset is the fact it took a reporter to try to change the laws rather than MADACC trying, if they truly cared about the dogs. It is all about the money. Did the loving thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
Saturday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and watching TV. Left for the car show around 11 AM and we were back home by 2 PM with chili from Wendy's. Took a nice nap with the dogs and slept until about 4 PM. Made some hamburgers for supper. Spent the night watching the movie Bully and the movie Argo. Both were very good movies. Why Bully is not allowed to be shown in schools is beyond me. Every kid should have to watching the movie Bully when they are in middle school. Argo was very good also and encourage you to rent it. Went to bed around 10 PM and watched SNL in bed. Turned off the TV at midnight and went to sleep.
Sunday we were up again by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Tony wanted to go have breakfast with his mom, I was not fond of the idea. Ended up finally going to George Webb's for breakfast around 11 AM. Stopped off at Walgreen's for some sale items and then the corner grocery store for lottery tickets. Watched a little TV and then went into the bedroom to nap. Of course Tony naps best after sex, so we did the loving thing and then napped. Ordered some subs from Domino's for supper delivered. Spent the night watching The Good Wife and Mentalist before doing the loving thing again and going to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Didn't sleep well from all the napping the day before. Told myself I will not nap today. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and doing some cleaning and vacuuming around the house. Tony called around 11 AM to tell me about a handsome guy on M TV show called Catfish that the guys at the shop had on the TV. Of course I wonder why they are watching TV. Must have been break time. Turned the channel to watch the show and got sucked into it for the entire hour. At noon I went for my usual walk along the river trails. Was mad I did not bring my camera since the snow is almost all melted and you can really see the big ice blocks that are up on the shoreline. They are a foot thick and 12 feet long. Had a great walk and got home around 1:30 PM. Put on some music and relaxed on the couch with the dogs for an hour. Making Chicken Corden Blue and beef rice tonight with a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following, and Deception before going to sleep. Tomorrow I am going to a general meeting at MADACC open to the public to discuss this dog fighting scandal. The meeting is at noon. I figure I will go to voice my support for the dogs. Rain is coming. It got to 40 degrees today but suppose to rain by supper time, turning to snow by morning. In the teens tomorrow for high temps. Spring, where are you?

February 15, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Tony got home from work around 5:30 PM. As he was getting his work clothes off I looked at him and said 'it sure is damp and cold outside, what would you think of snuggling in for the night and ordering a Lisa's pizza'. He looked at me and said 'sounds great, I hated thinking about going back out in the cold'. So Tony showered and I ordered a pizza for delivery. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Watched The Walking Dead from Sunday, Law And Order SVU from Wednesday, and CSI from last week before going to bed around 10 PM. Watched the local news to hear about a story the made me so mad and still does. Guess our Animal Control here in Milwaukee has been holding about 15 dogs for over 2 years in cages, never going outside, never getting walked, and no human contact except for getting fed each day, FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS. The dogs were taken from a dog fighting ring almost 2 years ago and are being held as evidence. Of course the guys charged with the crimes are living free on the streets while these and many other dogs are kept in a back room, in small cages, never seeing the light of day until the case is solved and then they are killed. WTF? This story made me so mad. Finished the news, did the Valentine loving thing and went to bed.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspapers, doing a couple movie downloads, and then at 10 AM when MADACC opened I called and left a message for the manager telling him just what I thought of them holding these dogs like this and not treating them humanly. Here is a link to the story if your interested:
WISN 12 News investigates incarcerated dogs rescued from dog-fighting rings | News - WISN Home
It is quite alarming and so wrong. They are simply holding these dogs to collect money from us tax payers for every day they keep them, even as the criminals are out on the streets at this time and the DA says the dogs no longer need to be kept as 'evidence'. This story has shocked many and I am sure something will change. Showered and met the guys and Tony for lunch. Had a great lunch as usual. Came home and spent an hour or so just laying on the couch with the dogs listening to music. Will just make left over spaghetti and pizza with a salad for supper tonight. Most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR. Tomorrow we are going to a Classic Car show hear that is yearly. Tony got free tickets which makes me happy since it is usually about $15 each to get into this show. I go just to look at the men at the show while Tony looks at the cars. Suppose to be a cold weekend so we will do very little besides the car show, going outside. Have a great weekend everyone.

February 14, 2013 Valentines Day
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Watched Revenge and a couple half hour sitcoms that were on the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and watching TV. It was cold, cloudy and damp in Milwaukee today. Not a good day to go outside. Only got to 33 degrees today. I've felt cold all day and I have the heat turned up to 70 degrees in the house. Still cold. Took a nice long nap with the dogs and got about 2 hours of sleep. Nice nap for once. Tonight we are suppose to go out for supper to celebrate Valentines Day. Since it is so cold and damp outside I am hoping when Tony comes home from work he doesn't want to venture out again and we order a pizza or something, and just stay in tonight. If we do go out it will just be to a local bar for some bar burgers since we don't have reservations anywhere and most restaurants will be packed. We will exchange cards and I bought Tony a balloon. Tony will most likely buy me flowers or a flower. I told him again yesterday that he does not have to buy a dozen roses and waste the money. One rose or even a dandelion picked would be fine. Of course he looked at me and said 'will a stick be ok'. I told him as long as he takes the time to pick out just the right 'stick', it would be fine. Honestly it is just the thought and action that makes me happy, not the amount spent or how big the gift is.
Happy Valentines Day to my followers. Hope you have a great day with the ones you love.

February 13, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Went out for supper last night for tacos, rice and beans, and of course a strawberry margarita. After eating we went to a meeting on the proposed apartment complex going up directly across the street. We were shown the proposal and given time to talk about it. I had a lot of questions. Got all my questions answered. They are putting up a 32 unit apartment complex with rents starting at $1500 a month. I think that is high but I would rather have people who can afford that living across the street then some low income housing project. In fact it could have been much worse. We were all told the lot is big enough and zoned for an 8 story high building with 110 units. WTF? Can you imagine if I had to look out my front window to an eight story apartment complex? So I guess we should be happy they didn't do the full scale project they could have on this land. The drawings look like it will be nice to look at which is important being right out my front window. The project should start in Spring and you can be sure I will post pictures as the construction begins and goes on. Actually I can't wait for all the construction workers I will be able to watch for about 6 months right outside my window. Might have to set up a table and chairs in the front yard. LOL. Set up a lemonade stand? LOL. Got home a little after 9 PM just as Obama was finishing his speech. I did want to hear it but heard the highlights and the stupid Republican response to the speech. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony out the door for work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and was out the door by 10 AM to get my usual McDonald's bacon egg and cheese bagel and a sausage burrito to heat up for lunch. Ate the bagel in the Pick N Save parking lot before going in and doing the weekly grocery shopping. Bought Tony a Valentine balloon along with the groceries. Got home and by noon I left the house again to go for my usual walk along the river trails. I really had to push myself today to get out and do the walk. I have done so little the past few days I knew I needed the walk. Had a great walk and was so glad I pushed myself out the door to do it. I can clear my head and feel so much more relaxed after a walk. Got home and ate the burrito from McDonald's and then took a short nap on the bed with the dogs. Don't think I got much sleep but was able to just lay there with the dogs and listen to some good music. Making spaghetti with the rib meat left overs from Monday. I know we had spaghetti last week, Tony is Italian, he could eat it every day. Will make some salads to go with the spaghetti. Most likely will spend the night watching TV from the DVR since it records shows daily and there is always another show adding to the DVR. The Walking Dead started up again last Sunday so I am sure we will watch that first. It got to 40 degrees today in Milwaukee and was sunny almost all day. Tomorrow we are going to get a couple inches of snow, just in time since the snow we have is almost gone. Would be happy if it was just rain. Tired of the snow and shoveling even though it has not been that bad this year again, so far. Suppose to be a very cold weekend back in the teens.

February 12, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV as I said in yesterdays post. Went to bed around 9 PM to watch the last TV show. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. I did very little around here today. Spent the morning reading the two newspapers and then a couple magazines that were laying around. Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon. Cleaned up the side yard and emptied the poop bucket. I'm just happy I still have been able to keep up with the four dogs droppings throughout this Winter again. Won't be a huge pile to pick up come Spring. The sun is out but it is only about 28 degrees outside with a slight wind making it feel colder. Tonight we have a meeting to go to regarding the apartment complex that is going up across the street. The meeting is at the park pavilion a block down the street and starts at 7 PM. Thankfully the owner of the apartment complex to the north stopped at Tony's shop yesterday to tell him of the meeting or we would not even have known about it. I will address this at the meeting. Figure we might as well go out for dollar tacos at the Mexican restaurant half way between here and the park pavilion and meeting. Will most likely then spend the night watching Obama on TV and go to bed. Wish I had more to say or report, but I just laid low all day today and took it easy.
February 11, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night beginning to clear the DVR of the 43 shows on it. Watched TV until around 10 PM and went to bed.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Noticed some animal tracks in the side yard so I cued up the outside camera DVR and looked to see what animal came into the side yard. It was my possum that comes often to eat the bread. I just don't want him settling in under the deck like he did last Winter for a few days until I chased him out. The dogs go nuts knowing it was in the yard, they can smell it. Spent the morning and early afternoon watching a TV show called American Family Diggers. There was a marathon of the show and it got us sucked in. Actually a very educational TV show finding army artifacts and stuff buried in peoples yards. Around 2 PM I noticed Tony starting to fall asleep on the couch so I went for a nice long walk along the river trails. It was 32 degrees and by the time I reached home I had my jacket open and was actually sweating from the walk. Was glad I got out of the house for an hour or so. Wish I would have brought my camera to take pictures of the huge 12 inch thick sheets of ice that the wind has pushed up onto the shore and paths along the shore. At times I was standing on top of these sheets of ice looking down on the river 8 feet below me thinking, how the heck did these huge sheets of ice get all the way up here. Spent the rest of the day watching TV from the DVR. Made hamburgers for supper and spent the night watching more TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. It rained all day on Sunday. At times quite hard. I did manage to walk up two blocks up the street to a corner store to buy lottery tickets before it started raining hard. The rain did a good job of getting rid of about half the snow on the ground. We did nothing all day because of the rain. Took a nice nap in the afternoon which I really think was an excuse for Tony to get some lovin. Made a frozen pizza and salads for supper. Spent the night almost clearing the DVR of the 40 or more shows on it by the time we went into the bedroom to watch the Music Award show on TV. After the show was over we did the lovin thing again and went to sleep.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning going through my taxes and ADAP paperwork one last time making sure it is all filled out properly and got it all in the mail. Talked to my mom on the telephone for a while. After I had a can of tomato soup for lunch I took a short nap with the dogs. Slept for about an hour before the phone rang and got me out of bed. Wrong number. Why do the always call during nap time? Have to put a load of laundry away and get going on supper. Making a rack of ribs, baked potato, corn and salad tonight for supper. I love ribs and it would be my last meal if I ever was on death row. LOL. Will most likely spend the night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following and Deception before going to bed tonight. It got to 30 degrees today in Milwaukee but because of the strong wind it felt very cold outside. To cold for a walk today.

February 8, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Last night the snow just kept falling. Watched American Idol and Glee on TV. Went outside one last time to shovel the snow at 9 PM. Came in and shortly went to bed to watch a couple episodes of Hardcore Pawn on our big 110 inch TV in the bedroom. Here is a picture of what sleep time looks like at our house. You can see Kali, Vito and Bo across the top of the bed row of pillows. Tony sleeps on one side of the bed, Stella in the middle, and me in the empty space on the other end of the bed. It was worse, we once had five dogs.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Got bundled up and went outside to shovel so I could push the snow away from the garage and Tony could plow it away before he left for work for the day. Shoveled the side yard for the dogs and the front sidewalk. Had to make paths around the side yard for Vito. Since he is blind, when it snows like this, he gets very lost outside. The snow is about 6 inches deep and I had to go out and get him once already today, lost in a corner. The snow is very pretty. Here are some pictures of the view looking North and South.
The snow is just hanging on the trees and looks so pretty. Here is a picture of the house.
Met Tony and the guys for lunch. Had a great lunch as usual laughing and telling stories. Stopped off to make copies of my taxes at a copy store so I can get them in the mail next week. Then went to Pick N Save to buy some fresh fruit and produce for the weekend. Will spend the rest of the afternoon doing some cleaning and vacuuming around the house. Making fried left over spaghetti and a salad for Tony's supper tonight. I will eat the chili I brought home from lunch and a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR since there are over 40 shows on the DVR to watch. No plans this weekend. Will most likely spend most of the weekend at home with the dogs, staying warm, watching TV. It got to about 30 degrees today in Milwaukee. Usually the snow falls off the trees by now. It still is so pretty outside with the trees all covered in snow.

February 7, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol, Hot In Cleveland and Happily Divorced. Went to sleep around 10:20 PM after the local news. Couldn't sleep so I got out my IPod and listened to Pink. I do love her new CD and it is my favorite right now to listen to.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. I have honestly done nothing all day but watch the snow fall. Read the morning newspapers, watched some TV and this afternoon I laid on the bed with the dogs listening to some old Disco favorites that I use to dance to back 30 years ago. As I was listening to them I did the math. Wow, where has 30 years gone? Where did all the energy I had back then dancing go? As each song played I can picture where I danced to that song the most and why I fell in love with the song, or the person I danced with to that song back then, most likely dating them at the time. I often wonder if people in my past ever think of me. I do think of them. About 15 years ago I went on this quest to find as many people that I hung out with when I was 18 to 25 years old. I found a couple and was actually disappointed in the conversations. I guess there friendship ment more to me than it ment to them. It was actually sad how fast people move on and forget those in their past who helped them get where they are today and what they are today. There are still many more I would love to find and communicate with. One past lover I sent letters all over the country hoping for a response. Never found the guy. I must have sent over 100 letters to every Ruben Velez in the USA with no luck. We dated for several months when I was in my fourth year of college. Am I the only person who wonders if others ever think of you as much as you still think of them? Sure would have been nice to keep in touch and know how they are doing. Are they happy? Did I make a difference in their life? Would love to be able to tell them that they indeed made a difference in mine. I actually back in my dating and coming out years wrote down every person's name I ever dated. There were a lot, and I only found a few in my quest to find them.
The snow has been falling since this morning. We are suppose to get around 5 inches by the time it all ends around midnight tonight. Will most likely go out and shovel before I go to bed so that tomorrows shoveling isn't so bad from what we get over night. Making left over spaghetti tonight since I made so much. Have enough for two more suppers. Since Tony could eat spaghetti every day I will heat up a plate tonight and then fry up the rest tomorrow night for supper. Will make some salads and I will most likely just have a sandwich or something with the salad.

February 6, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching the Betty White Birthday Bash. God bless her for all the energy she has at her age. Finished off the night watching Smash. Went to bed for some lovin before we went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Cleaned my bathroom and toilet today. I hate cleaning the bathrooms. Tony usually does it because he knows I hate it so much. Had no excuse for not cleaning it since he is busy working. Smells nice and Pine Sol like now. Spent the rest of the day doing things around the house. Tried to take a nap with the dogs but Vito for some reason wanted to lay in my arms the entire time and get a belly rub. Every time I stopped he would bark at me to start again. After about an hour and a half I just got up out of bed rather than continue to hold and pet him. Stella stays in bed for another hour or so until Bo bothers her so much to play she just decides to get up. I closed the gate after we left the bedroom today so Stella could get an extra hour of uninterrupted sleep without Bo bothering her. Have a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove. Making spaghetti tonight with garlic bread and salad. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol since it is guy night on the show. Got up to 30 degrees today in Milwaukee. The clouds have now rolled in and tonight we are getting more snow overnight. We need a layer of snow to cover up the dirty snow that is everywhere now along the streets, and all the yellow snow in the side yard from the dogs.

February 5, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following and Deception on TV. Went to bed around 10:20 PM after the local news.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read a little of the morning newspaper and went back to bed for an hour. Got up around 10 AM and showered. Left the house around 12:30 PM to stop at Pick N Save for some salad and then to a board meeting with ARCW. Had a good meeting and picked up my monthly food at the pantry while I was there. Came home and will do a little cleaning and laundry prior to supper. Just making some salads and TV dinners for supper tonight. Hopefully Tony had a big lunch since he will not be happy with a TV dinner. Hey, it is a Hungry Man TV dinner, which is enough for me. LOL. Will most likely spend the night watching Betty White's Birthday Bash and then Smash. Three other TV shows will be recording as we watch those shows. Got more snow this morning, a couple inches of fluffy snow. Shoveled before I left for my meeting. We keep getting these little snow clippers that drop a couple inches each day the last few days. The ground is covered with snow and there is about 4 inches of snow on the ground. Thankfully it is a fluffy snow and never amounts to much. It did get in the 20s today so it was not as bad as it could be this time of year. Still no rabbits, the bread I put out last night was still in the back yard when I woke up. Seeing a little bunny in the back yard would make my day.

February 4, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching home improvement shows on TV. Went to leave the house around 11 AM to go to the Pet Expo here in town for the day. I love seeing all the different dog breeds. As we were leaving I ran into my tenant and his girlfriend. I started talking to them and then mentioned how we don't have any more rabbits and the parts of rabbit I found in the back yard behind the garage. My tenant looks at me and says, 'it wasn't rabbit parts, it was the deer I shot'. I was overjoyed to find out those parts of an animal were not my rabbit, but why the hell are you throwing deer parts over the deck and to the ground? Also, where then are all the rabbits? To this day, still no rabbits and the bread is out there each morning untouched. It did make my day to learn it was not my rabbit I have fed for a year, dead, and in parts in the back yard. Went to the Pet Expo and got a lot of dog food samples to bring home and mix with the food I buy. I figure the more samples we get helps cover the cost of entering the event. Ended up buying two jackets for Stella, which fit snug and come off in time when she moves. Waste of money. Also bought about $20 in dog toys. Got home and gave the toys to the dogs, thinking they were strong toys. No such luck. Stella had them ripped apart in a half hour. Twenty dollars in dog toys in the garbage in a half hour of being home. It is hard to find a toy Stella can not ruin. Cheapest thing to do is just put a tennis ball in an old sock. Takes the dogs sometime a day to get the ball out by tugging and ripping the sock. Decided to take a short nap around 3 PM which really was an excuse for Tony to get some lovin. Was not in bed long and got up to watch TV and start thinking about what to make for supper. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday morning we were up at 7 AM again. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the Sunday newspaper. Made eggs and bacon for breakfast. Left the house around noon to go to Walmart. I got Tony to agree to go with my to buy another few months of Insulin and the list of other household items we need. Ended up spending over $300 at Walmart. Of course the Insulin and needles were $80 of the total. Got the house stocked for another 3 months hopefully since I do not usually enjoy going to Walmart. At least not our Walmart here on the Eastside. By the time we got everything on the list it was getting busy and the costumers were not getting any nicer, or prettier. Got out of there and came home. Spent the rest of the day watching the gay movie When Boys Fly. It was about circuit boys and the circuit parties. Was interesting. We then watching Paranormal Activity 2, 3 and 4. All were pretty much the same and can be quite boring at times waiting for something to happen as the film rolls. Made some steaks and salads for supper. Spent the night watching the last Paranormal movie and then tried to watch a spoof on them called Supernatural Activity. About a half hour into the movie we turned it off, it was not funny at all. Spent the rest of the night watching some Modern Family reruns. Went to sleep around 10 PM after some lovin.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning outside shoveling the snow that never seemed to stop. Made a final copy of my taxes and filled out my paperwork for ADAP in between shoveling the snow. Called and left a message for ADAP to call me since I have questions on filling out the form. Stopped snowing around noon and we got a few inches of fluffy snow. Made myself a can of tomato soup for lunch. Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon. I consider any nap where I actually get some sleep, a good nap. Making some hamburgers and baked beans for supper tonight. Also making some sweet potato french fries which I got with my pantry food a while back. I have never tried sweet potato french fries so I have no idea if I will eat them, or like them. Will let you know tomorrow what I thought of them. Will most likely spend the night watching TV. Tony always comes home tired on Monday's so we will most likely be in bed early.
I am so happy to know my rabbit did not die in the back yard, but where the heck are they. Do rabbits hibernate? Has been over two weeks now since I have seen one eat any break or out in the front or back yard.

February 1, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol and then Glee before we went to bed. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep by 10 PM. I still find myself looking out the window or watching the camera monitors hoping to see a bunny. No such luck, but I keep hoping.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching Kelly and Michael, The View, and Anderson Cooper prior to Tony picking me up to go to lunch. Stopped off at Walgreen's on the way to lunch so I could run in and get a prescription I had called in yesterday. Had a great lunch with the guys as usual. Sometimes our bellies hurt from laughing so hard at someones story. Tony dropped me off at home and I will spend the afternoon keeping warm with the dogs. It was 5 degrees with a wind chill of 20 below when we got up this morning. Hasn't warmed up much since then. I have to yell at the dogs to get them back in the house as their legs and paws freeze outside when they go potty. Kali has it down pretty good, she waits until the last moment, lets me know she has to go out, and runs out, does her thing, and runs back in. Good thing since she has no hair. She comes in shivering needing Daddy hugs to get warm. Stella and Bo are another story. Takes them so long to get their sent, by the time they start to poop, they can't stand on all four legs and I have had to go out and grab Bo, since he could not walk. Stella is to heavy to carry and I have to yell at her to come in NOW. Vito has been pretty good as long as I keep yelling at him the entire time saying 'hurry up, hurry up, come on'. He almost did not make it in the house once this morning his paws were so frozen. Moving to a warmer climate is not an option at this point. Maybe when Tony sells the Auto Body shop and he retires. My parents have a Condo in Florida I have never seen due to the damn dogs and not being able to leave them. Sure would be nice to be down there now. I think tomorrow it is to get up to 20 degrees, so a warm up is on the way. LOL. Those of course are high temps for the day. It gets pretty cold at night. Will just make some salads and left overs from last night for Tony for supper tonight. Most likely watch TV from the DVR since it has filled up all week as we watched American Idol live. Tomorrow I hope to get Tony to go to the yearly dog show at State Fair Park. We go almost every year to see the dogs, get the free samples of dog food, and buy a dog toy or two. Tony would rather not go but in two weeks there is a car show there that I will go with him to and have as much interest as the dog show to him. Being together makes it all better and we do all most everything together on the weekends. Other than that no plans this weekend. I hear there is a big football game this weekend. LOL. I honestly don't even know who is playing. We will be watching a movie Sunday night. Hey, did I mention I am gay? No interest in the Super Bowl, not even the half time show. Heck, we have already seen most of the commercials.
January 31, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Tony got home early last night from work. He was home before 5 PM, even before I fed the dogs supper. Fed the dogs and got supper fast tracked to eat a little early. Spent the night watching American Idol. Went to the bedroom around 9 PM for a round of lovin before we went to sleep. Had a hard time sleeping last night due to the wind and something lightly banging against the outside wall. I think it is the outside window canopy. When it is warmer outside I will have to fix what is making the noise. Too cold out there now.
Got up this morning at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the morning newspaper, catching up on emails I needed to respond to, and then I had a thought. We have an old toilet in the basement that we removed from the first bathroom years ago. It is not hooked up and just a spare. I thought, maybe I can change out the flush unit in that toilet with the one that doesn't work, that Tony broke the night before. I usually leave mechanical, electric and plumbing issues to Tony. Disconnected the unit on the toilet tank not being used in the basement with the one in my bathroom. Took me about a half hour. I was so proud of myself when I got it all hooked up and flushed the toilet, and it worked great. Had to disconnect the water hose to the toilet, remove the broken unit in the tank, connect the one from the basement, connecting the water and everything. Then had to adjust the water level on the uni. If I had waited for Tony to do it who knows when that toilet would have gotten fixed. I do enjoy challenging myself like this. I am so afraid of someday Tony not being around for problems like this. So when I fix these kind of issues it makes me feel like I could make it. Guess I can put plumber on my resume? Made a quick batch of chocolate chip cookies. Laid down on the bed with the dogs around 1 PM and of course the phone rang 15 minutes later. Was a board member and we ended up talking for a half hour. After that I just got up out of bed and made myself a cup of coffee. It is in the teens today in Milwaukee with a wind chill of zero. Kinda cold, but tomorrow is suppose to be even worse. High of 5 degrees tomorrow. Damn that is going to be cold. I will have to leave the house tomorrow to have lunch with the guys. Will be hard to do with it being so damn cold. Will most likely have Tony pick me up on his way there since by the time he would pick me up his car might be warm. Making a Lasagna hamburger helper tonight for supper with a salad and bread. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol and then Glee before we go to bed.

January 30, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Tony got home from work around 5:30 PM. Ate supper. After supper right before Tony took his shower, when he flushed the toilet, it wouldn't stop running. No matter what we did the water just kept filling the tank. Must be broken. Have to turn the water on an off under the toilet until Tony has time to fix it. I have no clue, but I figure the entire flushing unit in the tank will have to be replaced when he has time. Thankfully it can still be used and we have a second bathroom. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Mostly a few Hardcore Pawn shows we had been piling up on the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Thought I was going to start my day like yesterday, throwing up, but was able to keep everything down. A few crackers helped. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper and watching the news about the incoming snow storm. What a difference a day can make here in Milwaukee. Yesterday we were at 60 degrees and sunny. Today we are at 28 degrees and have a couple inches of snow. The snow started falling around 10 AM. I was lucky to leave and do the weekly grocery shopping early and got home just as the snow started to fall. Spent a little time on the Internet. Was happy to see an email from the lady in the book called Endal that I read and wrote to last week. Got her email from searching the web and wrote her last week. Told her how much her book and story touched my life. Was surprised to even get a response. Took a nice long two hour nap with the dogs. Got up at 2:30 PM and after a half cup of coffee I went outside to shovel the two inches of snow we got while I was sleeping. It has stopped snowing. Was suppose to snow all day and get much more snow than we got. I am not complaining. Suppose to get very cold now and tomorrow a high of 12 degrees. Making some chicken cordon blue and rice for supper with a salad tonight. We will most likely spend the night watching American Idol while the DVR records the other shows we usually watch. Seems Tuesday and Wednesday nights are a big day for the DVR each week. Sometimes the DVR is recording four shows at once. Will most likely spend tomorrow in the house due to the cold. No reason to go outside. Funny, yesterday I had the pond pump going and today the pond is frozen over. Still no rabbits. I am sure a cat or something has killed them all. It has been over a week since I have seen a rabbit and yesterday was nice enough for them to come out if they were still alive. Like I said in an early post, I found some parts of a rabbit in the back yard. Pretty sure it was a rabbit, but hard to tell from the small pieces of it around the yard. Might sound weird to spend so much time worrying about some rabbits, but they kept me going for the last four years the month after I found out I was HIV. Been watching them through the Nature Cameras I have outside for four years. The rabbit I was watching daily was the third generation from the first one I say February 2009. Before that, for the past 20 years, we never had any rabbits around the neighborhood because of the cats. So damn sad a cat can kill them all in the neighborhood in a week. There was even a story in the newspaper today about how dangerous stray cats are to animals outside. Pisses me off, I don't let my four dogs run around the neighborhood. I keep looking out in the bushes hoping to see one, but it has been over a week and I have to just get it through my head they are all gone and dead. They brought a smile to my face daily as I fed them bread and carrots.

January 29, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Finished off the night with the show Deception on NBC. Went to sleep around 10:20 PM after the local news and weather. Got woken up at 1:30 AM with thunder and Vito barking at the thunder. Thankfully it did not last long.
Got up this morning at 6 AM. Was throwing up in the sink before I even got to feeding the dogs. Haven't started my day like this in a while. I do not like starting my day off throwing up. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, made a ham sandwich for Tony to take to work, and sent him out the door. Spent the morning doing things outside with the pond. Got the pond pump working yesterday and for some reason last nights rain shorted out the power to the pump this morning. Had to put a new cord to the pump for now. The pump will be turned off, and is off as I post, and the heater is now plugged in again. It got to 60 degrees today in Milwaukee. We broke an all time record today. Of course it is not going to last long. Rain is about an hour away and we are suppose to get a lot. Temperature is then to drop and we are to have a high of 12 degrees on Friday. I hate these temperature swings. Got contacted from someone from Tumblr the other day and had a conference call with them at noon today. Was a little confused why they wanted me on the call since I can not promote this Blog on the website. Got off the call about a half hour into it when I realized it was not for me. Went to the Tumblr website and honestly I don't understand it. Went for a nice long walk along the river trails after the phone call. Thought I would be safe wearing Tony's rubber shoes. Found out shortly into the walk that they leaked bad and by the time I got home my socks were all wet. The trails are very muddy and tonight's rain will not help. Of course it will be too cold to walk until again next week. Took Stella for a walk around the block to loosen up her back leg today. She has been favoring it lately and needs to be walked more often. I don't take them on my walks because to many people take their dogs and don't have them on a leash. Would not be good for an unleashed dog to come up to Stella. Kali is getting to old, and Vito being blind, not good. So Bo would be my only other choice and he would rather just stay home with Stella. Speaking of Bo, I have a 4 PM vet appointment to have his nails trimmed. If it is pouring outside at that time I might just cancel. Looks like it might be. Just going to make soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper tonight with a salad. Will most likely spend the night watching TV listening to the rain fall. Suppose to get about 2 inches of rain and even flash flood warnings begin at 4 PM today.

January 28, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Gave Tony a Cialis when he came home and showered. Went to bed around 10 PM for some lovin.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. Spent the entire day just laying around watching TV. We tried taking a nap with the dogs, but we both laid there and really didn't nap. Left the house around 4 PM to go to a friends 50th Birthday party. Had a great time at the party. Had three drinks and got home a little after 9 PM. Great food at the party also. Got home feeling a little tipsy and after we watched TV for a while we went to bed for some lovin.
Sunday morning we were up again by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent a little time reading the Sunday newspaper before we showered and met Tony's mom for breakfast. Had a nice breakfast and after walked next door to Stein Garden and bought more bird food for the outside birds. Tony told me this morning he was out. Why someone waits until it is all gone to let me know they need more is just mind blowing. Anyway. We picked up lottery tickets on the way home and got home a little before noon. Took a nap with the dogs since it was snowing outside. Of course it turned into the lovin thing again. Got good use of the Cialis pill again this weekend. Went outside in the afternoon to shovel and was so sad to see parts of my rabbit I feed, all over the back yard. I had not seen my rabbit all week and just figured it was because of the cold. Damn, it makes me so sad. I have fed these rabbits for over 3 years. I think a cat must have got him. We were down to two rabbits and I think they are both dead now since I have not seen them or they have not been around to eat any bread for over a week. Spent the night watching the movie The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. It was a good movie. Finished off the night with The Good Wife and The Mentalist, before we went to sleep.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and doing four loads of laundry. All the bedding and dog blankets all washed. Around noon, since it was about 40 degrees outside, I went for a nice long walk along the river trails, ending at Pick N Save to make a bank deposit and by some strawberries and ham and rolls. Mental note to wear my boots, net tennis shoes, this time of year when I walk the muddy river trials. Walked home and after I ate a sandwich, I took a two hour nap with the dogs. I usually am up from the nap by 3 PM and was surprised to see it was 3:45 PM when I woke up. Jumped out of bed and started getting supper ready before I started this post. Making pork ribs and potatoes for supper tonight with a salad. Will most likely watch a movie tonight since we pretty much cleared the DVR over the weekend. Tomorrow it is suppose to get above 50 degrees, and then the cold front comes through and we drop to the teens by Friday. I hate this up and down and just wish Winter would end soon.

January 25, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol and Glee. Went to bed and watched some cable show before doing the lovin thing and going to bed.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read the morning newspapers and started my usual Friday movie downloads. Showered and went to Pick N Save to buy some fresh produce for the weekend. Watched a little TV and did a load of laundry before meeting the guys for lunch. Ate a Big Boy Grilled Cheese and a bowl of Chili. Had a great lunch as usual. Came home and took a needed nap with the dogs. I still feel tired today and just can not get enough sleep. Thankfully this is not turning into the flu, but I feel like I have something. Feeling weak and tired. Will just make some salads for supper tonight and some left over spaghetti from last night for Tony. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR. We have a friends Birthday party to go to Saturday late afternoon. Other than that, no plans and will most likely spend the weekend watching TV and keeping warm with the dogs.

January 24, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol. Damn do I hate Nikki on the show. She acts like a spoiled brat who wants to do all the talking and get all the face time on camera. I also can not stand her voice. Wish she would have walked off the show and stayed off. Went to bed around 9 PM for some lovin and then went to sleep.
This morning I woke up with a cough and felt sick. Read a little of the morning newspaper and then went back to bed until around 11 AM. Made a can of tomato soup for lunch and took a nice long bath. The hot water felt so good but the bath was hard to enjoy. Bo kept bring me a tennis ball and dropping it feet from the tub, and then would bark for me to get it and play with him. I would have gotten mad if he wasn't so damn cute doing it. Cut my bath short to get out and play ball with Bo. Spent the afternoon finishing the book I started on Tuesday called Endal. Great book and glad I read it. It is the story of a family. The husband injured in war with a head and body injury. He had memory loss and could not remember his family or wife. The book goes back and forth from the wife and the husbands perspective and what happens along the way. Eventually they get a dog name Endal to help the husband since he can not walk or feel one side of his body. The story goes on about the training of this dog and what he all could do. Such a wonderful TRUE story. Of course I was in tears by the end of the book knowing how it would end with the dog advancing in age. The book did not mention his death, but I looked it up on the Internet and the dog died March 13, 2009. I broke down in tears reading that on the Internet. So sad. Death sucks. I will have to pass this book onto my sister and mom. I think they will enjoy it as much as I did. Made me think how lucky I have been to have had the best dogs in my life a guy could ever ask for. My Buddy would have been a perfect dog to help the disabled. I miss him terribly some days. Now I am crying again, missing him. After I post I will start making supper. Making spaghetti, garlic bread and a salad. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol and then Glee before going to bed. It got to 20 degrees today in Milwaukee, but still felt cold. Plus feeling sick makes this worse. I feel chilled to the bone and can't get warm. I hope I am not getting the flu.

January 23, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Deception on the Internet and then TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Although it was a bit warmer today, it did not feel like it. It got to 20 degrees this afternoon. Went back to bed for an hour around 9 AM because I was so cold. Just couldn't shake the chill in my bones. Got up and took a nice hot shower. Spent the rest of the day watching TV and reading the book I started yesterday, trying to say warm. Did very little today. Took a short nap in bed with the dogs in the afternoon. Making a frozen pizza and salads for supper since I don't feel like cooking tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol and then go to bed early. Not only am I so cold today, I feel like I could have slept all day.

January 22, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching Revenge, Hawaii Five O, and a couple other shows on the DVR from the night before. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Knew I was not going to leave the house again today due to the extreme cold. Read the morning newspapers and then showered, shivering as I dried off. Spent the entire day doing laundry and started my next book called Endal. It is about a dog who help a war vet and their family after the husband was injured in war. I am half way done with the book, which is good cause I read slow. Up to page 162 which is half way. Got the mail this afternoon and there was a note in the mailbox from a reporter for the Shepard Express wanting us to call her because she would like to do a story on our house. Called and left a message that we are very interested. An hour later she returned my call and she interviewed me and recorded our conversation. She told me someone would be over today or tomorrow to take pictures of the house. Sent her some pictures by email that I had also of the cars in the front yard. Can't wait to see the story and what she writes. Making sweet and sour chicken with a salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the night before on the DVR. It is very cold again today in Milwaukee. It got to 6 degrees today. The sun was out all day and it looked much nicer outside. Went out once to pick up poop and came in frozen to the bone. Poor dogs having to go out in this cold. Tomorrow is not suppose to be much warmer. I do hate these Winters like this in Wisconsin. Saw yesterday's comment.

January 21, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Baby it's cold outside!
Friday afternoon after I had posted I remembered another thing I wanted to do. Tony and I had recorded ourselves over 20 years ago in the bedroom. We talked about it at lunch and I wondered what had happened to the VHS copy of this encounter. I searched the house and found it. The first DVR out of the basement wouldn't even play the 20 year old VHS tape. The second VHS player I had in the basement played the tape with some help. Recorded the video onto the computer as I played and watched it. Broke the VHS tape in two and threw it away after I was done recording and transferring onto a CD and on the computer. Sometimes I can not believe the things I tell you guys. Anyway, Tony got home from work and I showed him the recording, which got him a little frisky. He took a Cialis and a shower. After his shower we watched the video again and did the lovin thing. Was kind of weird watching ourselves in a video as we were 'doing it' again for real. It ws the only video like this we ever did and was glad I still could find it and that it didn't make it's way to the Internet or someone else's hands. Spent the rest of the night watching Criminal Minds from the DVR and then the 20/20 special on marriage before going the sleep around 10:30 PM.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. It was still warm, 41 degrees in the morning, so I took Stella for a walk around the block. Enjoyed the walk so much and figured it would be our last warm day for a while, so when Tony went to the bank, I took a long walk along the river trails. Was glad I took the walk. Went out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Came home and spent the rest of the day watching TV from the DVR and then the movie Keep The Lights On. It was an OK movie. Went to bed around 9 PM to get more use of Tony's Cialis pill from the night before. Went to sleep around 10 PM.
Sunday morning we were up at 7 AM. Made eggs, bacon and bagels with cream cheese for breakfast. What a difference a day makes. It was no warmer than 10 degrees all day on Sunday. Went to Pick N Save with Tony around 1 PM to do the weekly grocery shopping and buy lottery tickets. I figured since it is so cold outside I better get it over with and kill two birds with one stone, the lottery and groceries. Spent the afternoon on the couch watching TV from the DVR. Actually got the DVR empty except a couple episodes of Parking Wars. Spent the night watching the movie Flight, which was very good. Went to bed around 9 PM for some lovin and then went to sleep.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Got showered early today and got all warm in my one piece snuggle outfit. It is cold in Milwaukee today. It never got warmer than 5 degrees today, even with the sun out. Went outside once today to pick up dog poop. Spent the day watching a couple movies I have had for a while and know Tony would have no interest in watching. Watched the movies Creation and Oceans Deep Planet Earth. The first was about Charles Darwin, the other was a nature story about the oceans. Enjoyed both movies and kept warm all day. Making a Hormel meat loaf, beef flavored rice and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night snuggling on the couch with the dogs, watching TV, and staying warm. Suppose to be the coldest air in two years hitting us tonight. Did I mention it never go above 5 degrees today? Tomorrow will be another day struggling to keep warm.

January 18, 2012 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol. I do not like Nikki at all. She seems there just for the face time on TV. I was never a Keith Urban fan, but he is handsome and I like him more and more the more I watch the show. Will be interesting when the Live shows start. Went to bed around 9 PM for some lovin and went to sleep after.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read the morning newspapers and did my usual Friday movie downloads. Around 10 AM I got an email from ATT saying my email account might be compromised and I should change my password. For a second I thought it was fake and then my email box started filling up with all my old deleted emails from now going back in time. I kept deleting them as they arrived and when it got back to April of last year and I had deleted over a thousand emails, I called ATT. Was on hold and by the time they wanted to transfer me to a third person I told them I can not do this now since I have lunch plans and will have to call back and fix this problem later after lunch. Changed my email password quickly at their website and got off the phone. Watched my email account fill up with more old deleted email and then walked out the door and went to lunch. Had my email on my mind so I could not enjoy lunch. Started thinking I might have a virus and what it might be doing to my computer. Had a good lunch and left when I was done eating since I had to pick up a Leather jacket I was having a zipper fixed and was ready to be picked up. I was the first to leave lunch and even told Tony he didn't have to leave just now because I was. I picked up the jacket on my way home and came home to over 2000 emails on my account. All old deleted emails going back to when I set up the account. Deleted them all and for some reason the problem has stopped. I think it is because I was smart enough to change my password before lunch so emails where still arriving that had already been send or compromised. Sure was weird and wish I knew why this happened. I hate to call ATT and be on the phone with them just to find out, so I will hope I fixed the problem changing my password. This is why I use my Live.com email on this blog. I should just dump my ATT.net email. Spent the afternoon folding and putting away two loads of laundry before I laid back on the couch with the dogs and watched some TV. Making leftover spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will most likely watch TV from the DVR all night since the DVR has over 30 shows on it to watch at this point and just keeps filling more as each day goes by. No plans this weekend. I hope to go grocery shopping and get lottery tickets on Sunday so I don't have to leave the house from Monday through Wednesday. It is suppose to be bitter dangerously cold those days and below zero temperatures. So if I don't have to leave the house next week, I won't. I do have two books lined up to start next week as I hibernate from the cold. By next week Friday we get up to 32 degrees, according to the forecast, so I just have to make it from Sunday to Thursday keeping warm. Poor dogs, they are not going to like going outside next week to do their duties.

January 17, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Called my mom around 4 PM yesterday afternoon and had a nice talk with her. I do love my phone calls with mom and don't know what I will do when she is gone. We are very close and I am so glad things are the way there are now. Spent last night watching American Idol and then CSI on TV before going to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. I then started reading my blog from day one, so I could see how much my life has changed since those dark days. Wow, was I a mess. Read the first few months. I can not believe how low I was mentally back then, four years ago. I also was happy to realize how far I have come and how much I have accomplished since then. I honestly thought my life was coming to an end when I found out four years ago I had AIDS. I can see, by reading my blog, how much I have done and what a great life I would have missed if I had done something stupid or died. As I read my posts I could feel what I was feeling back then. I like to go back once in a while and read past years in my blog, which is another reason I put each year on hard cover book form. It really is nice to see how much life I lived, life I thought I would never see. Honestly, I look at every day and year as a bonus because if I had gotten this disease 20 years ago, I would be dead by now and it would have been a horrible, sick ending. Showered around 11 AM and left the house around 11:30 AM for my board meeting with ARCW. Had a good meeting and got home around 2:30 PM. Will most likely, after I am done posting, relax on the couch with a magazine. Making some chicken cordon blue and mac and cheese for supper with a salad. Will most likely watch another night of American Idol tonight before we go to bed. Got to 22 degrees today in Milwaukee. It seemed cold but the worst is about to hit us. The weather man says next week we will be in the singe digits. That's cold!

January 16, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 9 PM and watched an hour or more TV in bed before going to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read the morning newspapers and showered by 10 AM. Left the house and went to Walgreen's to buy some sale items. Stopped off at McDonald's for a buy one get one free steak egg cheese bagel. I will either eat the other one tomorrow of chop it up for the dogs. Went to Pick N Save and did the weekly grocery shopping. Was surprised when the total came to $77.40. I had exactly $77 in my wallet and a pocket full of change. Guess that is better than having to put an item or two back. Left Pick N Save with an empty wallet. After I was home a while I printed out all the tax forms I need this year to do my taxes. I have all the information I need to start them. Did my federal 1040 and schedule C, as well as my state and homestead taxes. Got them all done around 1 PM. I will wait until February 1st to rewrite them and send them in just in case something I need arrives in the mail at the last of the month. Since I make very little money they are very easy to do. I will get some money back for Homestead credit of Wisconsin so that is a good thing. Took a short nap with the dogs. Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will most likely watch American Idol tonight. Looking forward to this new season and the new judges. I also like the first shows when the singers are not so good. Today it got to 32 degrees but since it was cloudy and windy, it felt colder than yesterday.

January 15, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching The Good Wife, The Mentalist, Revenge and Deception prior to going to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. After I read a little of the morning newspaper I started moving thing around in the bedroom. I had moved the cable box and speakers to the other side of the room last week when I rearranged the furniture. I did not like having the cable box where it now was so I spent the morning rewiring and moving things around. Showered and left the house around 11 AM to go to Radio Shack to buy a connector I needed to make my laptop sound work in the back room on the 110 inch bedroom screen. Then I can put movies I download on my laptop and we can watch them in the bedroom on the big screen. Stopped off at Wendy's and got a Chili and small french fries. Came home and after eating lunch and sharing my fries with the dogs I connected the part I bought at Radio Shack. Spent the afternoon in the bedroom with the dogs watching the movie Les Miserables, that I downloaded over the weekend. I love this movie. Why do I cry every time I see the play or movie? Will spend the rest of the day doing things around the house since I feel I wasted today away. Making a frozen pizza and salad for supper. Will most likely spend tonight watching TV from the DVR before going to bed. Was cold again today in Milwaukee. Only got to 25 degrees, but the sun was out.

January 14, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
I was up at 4 AM Saturday morning throwing up and having the runs. Hate when you think your done and then things start coming out a different end. Was not fun and went back to bed, sleeping until close to 8 AM. Finally got up at 8 AM and fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Tony went to work in the morning so I spent the morning doing laundry and things around the house. Spent the afternoon taking a nice long nap snuggled next to Tony and the four dogs. Got up and made a big steak and salad for supper. Spent the night watching the movie House At The End Of The Street. It was a horror movie and OK. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
At 2:30 AM Sunday morning our phone rings and I get out of bed to answer it only to hear my drunk neighbor telling me 'if we ever put snow in back of his garage again, he will call the city'. When I got my head together and realized who it was and what he was bitching about I told him 'we haven't even had any measurable snow this season, I would never put snow in front of his garage, and why the hell are you calling me at 2:30 AM to bitch about this shit'. Unfuckinbelievable. What a fuckin drunk. After I hung up the phone and Tony and I talked, now wide awake, I called him back only to get his message machine and left him a long message telling him just what I thought of him and his phone call waking us up. I am so sick of the people up and down the alley bitching about Tony plowing the alley. For one, we haven't even plowed it this year. For two, when you plow, some snow will fall off the sides of the plow making a ridge of snow that will need to be shoveled. Hell, we aren't plowing the alley and shoveling out your car spots also. People are such assholes we even stopped plowing the entire alley to be nice and just plow from our house to Center Street. Four houses to the main side street. Of course we could not fall back asleep for a while since this phone call stirred us all up. Finally got back to bed and slept until 7AM.
Got up Sunday morning at 7 AM and fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Went to George Webb's restaurant for some breakfast around 10 AM. Should have switched tables when six people sat next to us smelling of morning drunk and alcohol. I swear we were the only people showered in the restaurant. Made it hard to eat the food these people stank so bad. Finished our breakfast and bought lottery tickets on the way home. Spent the afternoon watching movies. Watched the movies Perfect Pitch (very good), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (was OK), and Savages (was pretty good). After we fed the dogs supper we order some lasagna and salads from a local restaurant for delivery. Since the food was going to take and hour to be delivered, we closed the curtains and did the lovin thing. Spent the night watching The People's Choice Awards. Went to bed around 10 PM when the awards ended.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. It has now gotten very cold in Milwaukee and since I didn't need to go anywhere today, I decided to stay home and warm all day. Spent the morning cleaning and dusting the house. Took a short nap in the afternoon with the dogs. It is 20 degrees outside and there is a thin layer of ice everywhere from Friday's sleet. Making a Hormel turkey breast meal, green beans and potatoes with a salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV. Damn it is cold outside.

January 11, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night clearing the DVR. Watched NCIS, NCIS LA and New Girl, before going to bed around 9 PM to watch Tosh O on cable. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the morning newspapers, doing my usual Friday movie downloads, and catching up on emails. Showered and met Tony and the guys for lunch at Bakers Square. Had a great lunch as usual. Got home around 1:30 PM and after a little while I took Stella for a walk around the block to loosen up her back leg, since she has been limping when she walks on it. Laid on the couch and listened to some downloaded music for an hour before I started this post. It is close to 50 degrees outside but cloudy. Very damp outside and feels like a mist in the air. So it is warm, but not nice enough to enjoy the nice weather. Will make some salads for supper tonight and warm up a side for Tony and call it dinner. Will most likely watch more TV from the DVR tonight since it is getting full again. No plans this weekend. Suppose to get in the 30s this weekend, so the warm weather is over for a while, but then again, this is Winter in Wisconsin and we should be buried in snow and wrapped in blankets trying to keep warm.

January 10, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Last night we had tickets and went to see the play Memphis. I enjoyed the play. Tony was tired from working and did fall asleep at one point and I had to nudge him because he was snoring. The wife of the couple that sits next to us, and has for years, always brings Tony and I a small bag of chocolates or holiday candy of some sort. Last night was no different and we each got a small bag. We laugh each time because we both look at the others bag to see if the other got more or something different. She even looked at us last night and said 'they are both the same'. It was funny. Got home from the play around 10:15 PM and after watching about 15 minutes of the news we went to bed.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. What a difference a day can make. Yesterday I was so tired and dragged myself through the day. Today I felt full of energy and made good use of it. Read the morning newspaper and then decided to clean my bathroom. I honestly hate cleaning the bathroom and Tony usually does it. It needed cleaning and I broke down and did it. After I cleaned the bathroom I spent an hour or so backing up all my music and picture files from the last year on to an external hard drive that Tony keeps at the shop and brought home the other day so I could update it. I update it every January. I keep this hard drive at the shop because I am always afraid we will have a fire or lose the hard drives here at home and loose all our pictures through out life and all the music files I have and listen to daily. Around 11 AM I showered and then went for my usual walk along the river trails. The ice has been melting and the formations are so beautiful from the running water in parts of the river. Some areas are still frozen over from one side to the other, in some areas there is open water. Got home around 1 PM and then got in the car and went to the hardware store with a light that I thought needed a new bulb. Thankfully I was smart enough to bring the light unit along to not only make sure I got the right size florescent bulb, but that the problem was the bulb and not the unit itself. Well, it was not the bulb, but the unit, so I decided to just throw the whole thing away and headed to Pick N Save. Bought some milk and fresh fruit. The clouds have moved in now and it should start raining in a couple hours. Suppose to get a full night of rain tonight. It should be snow for goodness sake, it is January in Wisconsin. It was 40 degrees today and suppose to be close to 50 degrees tomorrow before a cold front comes through for the weekend. We never had 40s or 50s when I was a kid in January. The world is definitely warming. We should be buried in snow this time of year and it will all be gone with tonight's rain. Spent some time just laying on the couch with the dogs listening to music this afternoon. Just put some pork ribs in the oven smothered in barbecue sauce for supper tonight. Will make some potatoes and salad to go with the ribs. I love ribs. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR tonight. I did call my HIV doctor today to set up my next appointment in June. I asked what my percentage was and was told 25. That went down one point. I was increasing in every way up until this number. It is still good, but wished for an increase in CD4 and percentage of healthy cells.

January 9, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Around 6 PM last night my HIV doctor called with my blood results from the last blood test I had a week or so ago. Told me I am doing great. My TCell count is at 546, up from 512, and I am still undetectable. Forgot to ask him what my percentage was but I will find out when he mails me a copy of the results with my next blood test I have to take in June. The doctor wants to test other levels at that time too. Was happy with the numbers. Thankfully they keep going up and improving. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Got the DVR pretty clear except for the season of Castle. Went to bed around 9:30 PM for a little lovin before we went to sleep.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Feeling very tired today. Read a little of the newspaper and then went back to bed for an hour until about 9:30 AM. Got up and showered and did things around the house. Plugged in the pond pump since there is the hole in the ice from the heater and it is in the 40s today. I am sure the fish appreciate the air. I can see them swimming under the hole in the ice. Made a bagel for lunch and then turned on some music and laid on the bed with the dogs for a while. Just can't seem to wake up today. Hope I am not getting this flu since I did get a flu shot. If I drink lots of watcr and get a lot of sleep I hope to avoid it. And I don't go that many places with other people each day. Tonight we are going to the play Memphis with our season tickets at the Performing Arts Center. Sound like it should be good. Thankfully it is a musical so it will keep Tony, and me, awake, hopefully. Just hope I don't get the flu from someone at the play. Making some salads and left overs for supper before we go to the show. It did get to 40 degrees today and the sun was out, but the wind was strong so it felt much colder outside or I would have gone for a walk. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a walk in since it is to be as warm, less wind, before rain for the night.

January 8, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Finished off watching the show Deception on TV in bed. Went to sleep around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read a little of the morning newspaper before showering and leaving the house around 8:30 AM, for my 9 AM dental appointment to have my teeth cleaned at ARCW. Got my teeth nice and clean and headed down to the basement to get my monthly food and pick up some bread for the house and the bunnies. Dropped off some of the food with Tony at the shop for him and the boys the eat, the stuff we won't eat or I won't make to eat. Came home and gave Kali a bath, and after a little bit I noticed it was 40 degrees outside so I went for a nice long walk along the river trail. Watched three kids for a while playing on the ice, waiting for one of them to fall through the ice. They didn't which was good, but how stupid is that to play on thin ice? About half way through my walk I out of no where heard that little voice say 'you have AIDS'. It has been a while since I heard that in my head and it took me back a bit. It has been four years ago yesterday I found out I was HIV+ and then AIDS. I started this blog four years ago. Back then the 'little voice' was loud and it was like someone hit you with a brick in the head. Now it just seems to take you back a moment, and you shake your head in disbelief. Continued my walk and got home in about an hour and a half. Took a short nap with the dogs since I was feeling tired and in need of some hugs and snuggling from the dogs. Making a hamburger helper thing for supper tonight with some salads. We still have a little snow on the ground and it is very slippery around the yard, sidewalks and alley due to the snow melting and then re freezing. Almost fell when I took the garbage out earlier. Will most likely watch TV from the DVR tonight. I am sure we will go to bed early for some lovin since we didn't do it last night. Neither of us can go more then two days without some 'lovin'.

January 7, 2013 Monday Afternoon
The nephew arrived around 1:30 PM on Friday afternoon. Spent the afternoon playing with the dogs and watching Spongebob Squarepants. When Tony got home from work he showered, we made a pizza and then spent the night playing Monopoly. Was a great game for the kid since it taught him how to count money. At first we had to help him, then he caught on. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Saturday morning we were up at 7:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning and early afternoon finishing the Monopoly game from the night before. I won. Around 1:30 PM we left the house to go see the movie The Impossible. I can not say enough about this movie. It was SO good. I recommend seeing this movie big time. Go see the movie The Impossible, you will love it. Came home from the movie and after we fed the dogs supper we drove to Culver's and got some supper. Ate the food at Culver's so the dogs wouldn't bother us the whole time we ate. Came home and spent the night watching the movies The Muppets and The 12 Dogs Of Christmas. Both were good movies to watch with the nephew. We went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday morning we again were up at 7:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Was planning on going to grandma's house for breakfast but since I would have to get the kid and Tony out the door to do this, and the fact that going to the movie yesterday, getting them both ready and out the door, was too stressful. LOL. I swear sometimes I wish Tony would help a little and not be like a kid when we are trying to go somewhere. Getting the two of them out the door yesterday afternoon to see the movie was unbelievable. You would think they both had no brains. Made eggs, bacon and muffins for breakfast. Spent the morning and early afternoon watching TV as we played with the dogs. The dogs loved having the kid here. Vito snuggled next to him almost the whole time he was here. Around 1:30 PM his brothers father picked him up with his brother in the car to drive them both to the Illinois border to meet their mother. After the kid left we took a nap, which led to the lovin thing. Held off doing the lovin thing while the kid was here. Spent the night watching a gay themed movie called Harry And Max and then Revenge and The Mentalist on TV. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Spent the morning tearing apart the bedroom and doing a good cleaning. Mopped and dusted the entire bedroom and rearrange the furniture and bed while I cleaned. I like the new layout but it will be interesting how it works out changing the furniture with Vito being blind. Thankfully the only time he is in the bedroom is when I put him on the bed on his pillows so hopefully since the bed didn't change, just a new location, he won't notice and will be OK with the change. Went to Pick N Save this afternoon to buy some fresh produce and milk. Making a canned ham, baked potato and salads for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR

January 4, 2012 Friday Morning
Spent last night watching American Horror Story, Happily Divorced and Hot In Cleveland. Around 9:30 PM Tony walked past me and said 'look what I still have for you'. Of course we all know what that means. Turned off the TV, let the dogs out one last time, and went to bed for the lovin thing. Watched the news and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and doing my regular Friday downloads of the most recent films released. Thought I better post now since I am getting the nephew right after lunch. His mom should have him here at the house when I get back from lunch at 1:15 PM. Will then spend the day keeping him entertained as we watch kids shows. Figure grown up TV will have to be put on hold through Sunday. Disney and Nick channels will most likely be the popular choice all weekend. Will most likely make a pizza tonight for supper since I know the kid eats pizza. Hoping tomorrow to take Tony and the kid to the movie The Impossible. I have been waiting for this movie for a while and the trailers look so good. Figure it won't be too bad for a 9 year old to see? Heck, we have taken him to worse. Bad uncles. I remember when we took his brother to Snakes On A Plane when he was about 8 and as the movie went on we wondered if we should leave. Of course we didn't and the kid loved the movie. Bad uncles. Sunday we will most likely go have breakfast with Tony's mom so she can be with her grandson for a couple hours before we drop him off and have his brother's father meet their mother somewhere near the Wisconsin Illinois border to get her kids. I am looking forward to the weekend. He is such a good kid and loves being here. Never asks for anything and just happy to be away from his bratty brother and sister. By Sunday night we will need a good dose of grown up TV.

December 3, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching the last episode of Homeland from Season 2 and then a couple shows on the DVR before we went to bed. The season of Homeland ended great, can't wait until the next season starts. Yes, the Cialis was still working and I made use of it. Went to bed shortly after the lovin.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his Insulin shot. Spent the morning on the Internet trying to get my last year of this blog in book form from Blogs2print. I have the past three years prior printed in a hard cover book for each year. Finally got it all inputted and ordered. Did a little cleaning around the house and took down the last of the Christmas decorations. Made a ham sandwich for lunch and took a short nap with the dogs. Couldn't sleep so I got up and started cleaning out dressers. Resorted and folded all the clothes in Tony's dresser drawer. It was a mess, things just thrown in it. Making a Hormel meat loaf and noodles for supper tonight with a salad. Was suppose to get the nephew today but that was put on hold until tomorrow. Will get him sometime tomorrow afternoon. Was in the 20s today and a little windy. Wanted to go for a walk but was just too cold with the wind. Will most likely watch last nights episode of American Horror Story and a couple other TV shows on the DVR tonight before we go to bed.

January 2, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
My first post of 2013. Can not believe another year has come and gone.
New Years Eve Tony and I did something different. We went to a dinner theater and ate pizza while we watched the movie Les Miserables. I have seen the play many many times and it is my favorite. The movie was excellent. Was happy we saw it. We were back home and warm by 10 PM. Spent the rest of the night watching Anderson Cooper on CNN bring in the New Year. As the clock hit midnight, Tony and I kissed, then he looked at me and said 'can we go to bed now'.
Yesterday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspaper. Tony went to McDonald's and got us some steak egg bagels for breakfast. Around 11 AM I started season two of Homeland. After an episode and Tony's shower I gave Tony a Cialis boner pill so we could have some fun in the afternoon. Watched a couple more episodes of Homeland and then I put on an 'adult video'. The video was 36 minutes long and I was surprised Tony was able to hold out until the end of the video. Had a fun 36 minutes. Jeez, is this what his 'unit' was like when he was younger. Guess I missed out. LOL. We both enjoyed his Cialis pill. Cleaned up and spent the rest of the night watching the rest of the season two of Homeland up to the last episode. Will watch the last episode tonight. Went to bed around 9:30 PM so I could make us of the Cialis pill one last time. Of course Tony was up for another round of lovin and the Cialis was still working good. When we were finished Tony looked at me and said 'thats all your get now'. Went to sleep shortly thereafter.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning taking down the last of the Christmas decorations around the house. Hauled them all into the basement. Around 11 AM I drove to Pick N Save to deposit a check and then do a little grocery shopping. Didn't need much but wanted a few items for the nephew we are getting tomorrow until Sunday. I do love when Tony's nephew comes and stays for a few days. He loves his Uncle Dave and Tony. Took a nap this afternoon with the dogs figuring it would be the last for a while since I will have a kid here to entertain starting tomorrow afternoon. Making sweet and sour chicken and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching the last episode of Homeland before we forget what happened in the entire season. Sucks we have to wait now until Showtime brings the show back on the air to see more episodes. It was a good series and recommend finding the first two seasons and watching them. The twists and turns will keep you hooked. Will then most likely watch a movie and then go to bed, hoping the 24 Cialis still has a little fire in Tony tonight. They are suppose to last over 24 hours.
