Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Watched the last hour of DVR TV in bed. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM listening to my IPod music.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. Showered and before I left for McDonald's, the bank, and Pick N Save, I talk to my mom on the phone for about a half hour catching up on things in both our lives. So funny how when I call my mom and dad, when dad answers the phone, after we talk a bit he yells 'Sandy, it's your favorite son on the phone'. Makes me feel good and smile. Got the grocery shopping done and came home. Spent the day just laying around listening to music trying to stay off my foot. Been listening to Bruno Mars, Pink and Kelly Clarkson all afternoon. Did a little cleaning and vacuumed the house also. The Mourning Dove showed up this morning in the nest for a while like she has been doing this past week. Was able to show Tony the bird in the camera before he left for work. Making sweet and sour chicken and rice tonight with a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR so I can fast forward through commercials. Was sunny all morning and then the clouds came in this afternoon. It is only about 28 degrees outside here in Milwaukee again today. No sign of Spring even in the next week's forecast.

March 13, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent the night watching the past two episodes of The Walking Dead from the DVR. Went to the bedroom to watch Smash and then did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and listening to some music. My favorite music right now is Bruno Mars and Kelly Clarkson. I love the new Bruno Mars CD and his past work. Sounds like a cross between Prince and Michael Jackson. Left the house a little after noon to go to McDonald's for a dollar McDouble on my way to my 1 PM meeting at ARCW to discuss next weeks agenda for the board meeting. Picked up my anti inflammatory prescription at the pharmacy and my monthly food from the pantry before I left. Stopped off at Tony's shop to drop off some of the food we will not eat. Came home and spent the afternoon watching TV. Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will most likely watch TV from the DVR again tonight since it looks like all reruns on TV. My toe and foot is about the same. The inserts in my shoes are a big help but I can't have my shoes on all day. So I am back to the padded slippers as I type this blog. Taped up my toe again this morning after my shower like the doctor did yesterday. It was sunny all day today in Milwaukee but it did little to the temperature. It got to about 28 degrees today. Tony is at the doctor right now regarding his chest and rib pain from his fall on the ice. I am sure he will come home with a big prescription of pain pills, so he will be happy. Now I have to just keep track of them so he doesn't eat them like candy, finish his prescription, and then want my pain pills. I keep telling him if he is in so much pain he should be home more and not working such long hours. Heck, he is the owner and boss, he can make his own hours. Got my tax refund today which for some reason was half I thought I was going to get. Still a refund so I am happy. Will put it in saving to spend on the work I will have to do upstairs when the tenants move. I know we have to put in a new kitchen counter and sink and new carpet in the kitchen, much less paint the place. So it will be about a $1000 to get the place ready to rent again. We have put little money into the unit so I don't feel bad making some upgrades and hopefully getting a little higher rent. Kali is again a bit better, still showing affects of the Vertigo by hanging her head to the side and still a bit unstable. I did give her her antibiotic this morning in her food and told Tony to watch and make sure she ate it. Of course he said he watched, but I found the pill on the floor a half hour later and had to give it to her with some can food. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to ask the other half to do something when you know you will do it right yourself. How can her skin condition get better if Kali doesn't take her pill? I tell Tony weekly it scares the hell out of me to wonder what the household would be like if something happened to me. Of course his reply is he will have 'someone else here to do it'. Honestly I think it will be very hard to find someone to fill my shoes here at home. Speaking of shoes, here is a picture of my sore toe in bandages.

March 12, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching The Impossible and Deception before trying to sleep. Could not sleep. Around 11 PM I finally got up and got my IPod and spent and hour or more listening to Bruno Mars in bed. Think I finally fell asleep a little before 3 AM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Read a little of the newspaper and then took a shower since I knew we had an 11 AM vet appointment to take Bo and Stella to get their nails cut and pick up Kali's antibiotic. Got out of the shower and as I was putting on my last sock, the phone rang. It was the foot doctor I tried to get an appointment with yesterday and was told I could not see him until May 7th. Also the same doctor I left a message on his supervisors phone yesterday asking why I have to wait two months to see a doctor in the USA. My grandma always told me 'the squeaky wheel gets the grease'. So I guess it was good I spoke up and wondered why a person would have to wait two months and them not hiring more foot doctors at the medical clinic here at St Mary's Hospital. The doctor asked me what was wrong and then asked if I could be there in a half hour. I quickly thought '9:45 AM at the doctor, how will I get the dogs to the vet by 11 AM, but I can't miss this opportunity for this appointment'. I must have been thinking out loud because the doctor then told me he would have me in and out and I should be able to still have the dogs to their vet by 11 AM. So I quickly let the dogs all out to pee and back in, and left to go to see the foot doctor. Only had to wait about 10 minutes in the waiting room and then saw the doctor shortly after being taken to the room. Handsome young guy, always makes for a much more pleasant doctor appointment. Thankfully I was showered. LOL. The doctor felt my foot up and down and did some pushing and pulling. He then showed me how my second toe is dislocated and not connected well and I have damaged the bone behind the toe, maybe even a break. Told me to get an Xray and gave me some anti inflammatory meds I have to pick up tomorrow. He taped up my toe and put a pad under the front of my foot to take the weight off. Told me to stay off my feet for the next month as much as possible and showed me some foot exercised to do. Also to see him in a month. He then told me I could buy these foot inserts at the local shoe store or wear a medical cast boot. I opted for the insert rather than a cast boot. Left the doctor and got home just in time for Tony to come home and we then took the two dogs to the vet. Got their nails all cut nice and Kali's antibiotic. Came home with the dogs after stopping at McDonald's for some dollar hamburgers and french fries. After Tony went back to work I went back to the medical clinic to get my foot xray. Went pretty smooth and will find out the results when the doctor calls me. Came home and after a little while I figured since it was a little after 1 PM I could either go to the store and buy the shoe inserts or take a nap. Drove to the shoe store and bought the inserts called Superfeet Green for a high arch and wide foot. The clerk was very nice and put the inserts in my shoes and got them all fit right. Paid the $41 for the inserts. Would not have ever paid this much for shoe inserts, but hell, I have a broken toe. Drove home and after I was home for a while I took an hour nap with the dogs on the bed. Funny how some days when you wake up with 'the plan' of the day in your head, it goes a totally different way. I guess this turned out good because the doctor told me if I had not seen him and done anything about my foot it would not have healed properly and I would have bigger problems going forward. Taping up my toe ever day for the next month isn't going to be fun. Making some chicken corden blue, noodles, beans and salad for supper tonight. Tony will come home in pain, he goes back to his doctor tomorrow for his pain from his ice fall. As you get older, falls on the ice take a bigger toll on your body. Will just spend the night watching TV, most likely a little lovin before we go to bed. Got to 32 degrees today but was cloudy. Ice everywhere from the light snow and rain we got over night. Noticed for a second the Mourning Dove in the next this morning. Watched it on the camera sitting on the nest. So I guess come Sping I will have Mourning Doves to watch in their nest. This will be the third year they returned.

March 11, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Tony came home with shoulder pain and informed me just how much pain he was in. When I noticed how many pain pills he had been taking, we had a little talk. Told him if he is in such pain and has to take so many pills he should not be working 12 hour days. Went to bed around 10 PM for a little lovin and then sleep.
Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM. Tony told me he had to go to the shop between 11 AM and noon to have a car towed to his shop. A friend of ours had a roll over accident and Tony is fixing his car. Of course, once again, I spent that time and the early afternoon waiting for him to come home. I do realize he can't make a car get there faster, but having a better idea of when the car will arrive would be nice. Tony did not come home until a little before 3 PM in the afternoon. I did go to Pick N Save while he was gone to buy some sale items, but spent the day just watching TV waiting for him to come home. After he got home we took a short nap. Made hamburgers for supper with a salad. Spent Saturday night watching the movie The Snowtown Murders. Weird movie, was hard to follow, but very good. About a serial killing family and friends in Australia. Hard to understand what the people in the movie are saying at times with their strong Australian accents. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Looked out the window to see my two Mourning Doves sitting on the deck rails. Hopefully they will nest again this year in the side yard under the Batmobile with the camera, so I can watch it all. This will be the third year these or the kids have returned to this nest. I think they are watching the nest area to see if it is once again safe this year for them. It rained all day Sunday here in Milwaukee. We spent the morning watching Most Shocking Videos on Tru TV, then watch Mama Mia for the unteenth time before going to the bed and taking a nice two hour nap with Tony and the dogs. Spent Sunday night watching Amazing Race, Good Wife and Mentalist before doing the lovin thing and going to sleep.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. It rained again all day so I spent the day cleaning, dusting, and napping. I did also clean the back hallway. Was told the other day our upstairs tenants will be moving out soon. He said he will give 30 days notice. So in the next couple months I will have to get the apartment ready to rent, once they leave, loose a months rent fixing the place, and then looking for a new tenant for the apartment. I do like our current tenants but am looking forward to someone new who can hopefully take care of our dogs so we can get out of town for a vacation. We have not left the house for a vacation in eight years because of Stella and the sick dogs we have. Making pork ribs, potatoes and salad for supper tonight. Tony will come home tired and in pain. I saw him grab his bottle of pain pills when he walked out the door this morning. Will have to count them, he eats them like candy. They are not candy and if he uses all his up, he will then want to use mine. I am very protective of my pain pills because I need them. Will most likely spend the night watching The Following and Deception before going to bed. I did make an appointment at the foot doctor today. My regular doctor called last Friday and recommended this doctor. I have something in the ball of my left foot that should not be there when I walk. I was not happy to hear the soonest he can see me is May 7th. That is two months away. Took the appointment but left a message with the supervisor saying this was unacceptable since we are the USA and not a third world country. Not sure I can wait two months to find out what is in my ball of my foot making stepping on it uncomfortable. I was then told to call my insurance company and see what they say or who they recommend. What? Not happy about this. Called the vet today to get Kali another round of antibiotics since her under arms are leaking something horrible. She has a bad skin condition and no matter how much I bath her I am still putting baby powder on her several times a day. Tomorrow we take Stella and Bo to the vet at 11 AM to get their nails cut. Figured it best to just take them in together since they cry when they are apart. Plus I hate taking the dogs for nail trims since then I am the 'bad daddy' giving them pain from the nail cutting. Stella has big thick nails. I can not cut them and can't even watch when they do cut them. Will pick up Kali's antibiotic when we are there.

March 8, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Went out to eat last night at Butch's Steak House. Had a nice 12 oz fillet. Brought a little home for tonight's supper. Got home around 8 PM and spent the night watching TV with the dogs. Went to bed around 9:30 PM and had a good night's sleep. Kali slept soundly all night with a light on.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. As I was feeding the dogs I got the feeling like I needed to throw up. So in between filling the Insulin syringe, getting the dog bowls out, putting can and then dry food in the bowls, and giving Kali her pill, I was going back and forth to the sink throwing up. Haven't had to start my day like this in a while thankfully. Of course Tony just stood there during this, not helping in any way. Sometimes you just want to slug em. Got the dogs fed and Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper. Left the house around 10 AM to go to Walgreen's to pick up some prescriptions and sale items. Came home and packed up the cake and plates to bring to lunch with the guys to celebrate Tony's Birthday. Had a great lunch at a different restaurant than we usually go to each Friday. Figured since Tony would pay for lunch we would try something different. Everyone had a great lunch and cake. Eight of us showed up today for lunch. Came home and about 2 PM I pushed myself out the door to go for a walk along the river trails. Some days you just have to push yourself to do these things. I am always so glad I went, when the walk is over. I always feel so good and need the exercise. It is about 34 degrees and sunny today in Milwaukee. The snow on the roof is melting fast and dripping down the windows. Will just make some left overs for supper tonight with a salad. Most likely watch TV from the DVR or watch a movie. Kali is again a bit better today. I did see her fall once when walking, loosing her balance. But she is now walking up and down stairs to go outside and up onto the couch with little problem. Still scares me to watch since she is still a little unbalanced. No plans this weekend. Suppose to be a rainy weekend. Will most likely melt most of the snow which is a good thing because it is over a foot deep in places. I am sure the yard will be a puddle of water if we get the rain they are saying is coming our way for the weekend. Good weekend to just stay indoors and watch movies or TV.

March 7, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV. Tony did go to the doctor yesterday and had xrays taken on his shoulder and ribs. Guess he damaged some cartilage and will take 6 weeks to heal. He is in pain. Went to bed around 9 PM to watch TV in bed. Ended up doing the loving thing and then went to sleep. Funny how no matter how much pain a man is in, if you offer him sex, the pain goes away for a while.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Since it is Tony's Birthday I thought I would get up with him and try to get as many of his duties done as possible before he goes to work. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and sent the Birthday boy off to work. Kali is again better today than yesterday. She can now walk on her own and goes outside to pee on her own also. She still holds her head off to the side and walks a little sideways, but for the most part, she is OK. I still am keeping an eye on her so she doesn't jump up onto things and fall. The vet did give us something for her nausea and we have been giving it to her. I think the first night's throwing up was because we made the room dark. We slept with a light on again last night. Hopefully tonight we can sleep with the lights off. Went to the grocery store this morning to buy a Birthday cake and flowers for Tony to go along with the card I got him. Did a little shoveling of the snow out back since it is sunny 34 degrees outside and the snow is melting if you get it off the driveway. It melts faster not being 8 inches thick. Tonight we will go out for a nice steak dinner for Tony's Birthday. Will go to Butches Steak House here in Milwaukee because they have the best steaks. Of course it will be an expensive dinner, but the Birthday only comes around once a year, and no guarantee there will be another. Got a nice double chocolate cake to take to lunch with the guys tomorrow afternoon. So Tony will have to wait for cake until then. So glad Kali is getting better. She will be going on 14 years old this July, so every day I cherish.

March 6, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
After supper, and after Tony took his shower, I went outside to shovel the snow that fell all afternoon. Took me almost an hour to do the side, front and back alley area. Tony stayed in the house with Kali. Went to the bed around 9 PM to watch the last hour of TV in bed. Got an idea to keep a light on in the bedroom all night so Kali wouldn't be so dizzy and hopefully not throw up like last night. Figured the throwing up started after I turned the lights off and she then had nothing to focus on in the dark. Seemed to work great and we slept all night, with a light on.
This morning I got up at 6 AM with Tony since Kali was ready to go outside and needed to be carried outside. Had to carry Vito and Kali off the bed and then get them outside. Kali seemed a little better than the day prior. She could at least stand on her own to pee and poop without falling or me needing to hold her. Still too unstable to go up stairs or ramps, or be jumping up on the couch. Spent the morning trading between being with the dogs and going outside for a while and chipping away at the snow and ice. Since it is 33 degrees today I figured the more I get off the ground the better for melting. Tried to take a nap with the dogs but between the phone calls I just gave up and got up. Kali's vet called to say her blood tests came back good and doctor wanted to know how she was doing. Told her she is getting better with each day and hopefully tomorrow she will be almost back to normal. Actually today is the hardest of all the days since the past two days she has not wanted to walk around much due to her being so unstable and dizzy. Today she thinks she is doing better but still falls into walls and not walking straight, like a drunk person. So it is even harder today to try to keep her calm and quiet. Every time I walk into the other room she wants to follow me. One of the other phone calls was Tony saying he is going to urgent care for his shoulder pain. He slipped and fell into a car fender last week and thinks he bruised or cracked a rip. So he is probably there now getting an xray and a doctor visit. His pain has been getting worse rather than better with each day and being an open heart patient it is best to make sure he didn't damage some wiring or ribs that might go into the wiring of his chest. Yah, after they crack your chest open they wire you shut. I can feel the wires on his chest in places. Earlier in the week I called my HIV doctor and asked if we could include a Testosterone blood exam with my next blood panel in June. Got the new paperwork for the blood tests in the mail today for the June exam, including the Testosterone test. I have been so tired and moody lately and thought since I have never gotten this test before done, and I have all the blood drawn anyway, get it tested. My shoulder and arm pain is about the same. Not going to get better with all this heavy snow shoveling I have been doing. Pain pills are helping. Just making left over spaghetti for supper tonight with a salad. Will most likely spend the night watching TV with the dogs. I am hoping Tony's doctor tells him to take some time off work. He never does, and needs it. Tomorrow is Tony's 52nd Birthday. Got him a card, will go buy a cake at the grocery store if Kali lets me leave the house tomorrow. We had talked about going out for supper at a nice steak restaurant tomorrow night for his Birthday. Guess the health of us and the dogs will be the key factor if we indeed do go out. I can't believe I am with a 52 year old man. Or that I will be 52 in April. When did we get so old and where did the years go? It is nice to know I am still very attracted to my 52 year old man. I still think he is handsome and would go after him today if we were both single.

March 5, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night close to Kali on the couch. As long as she could sit next to me and see me she was fine. Tony got home a little after 6 PM and I started supper then, while Tony watched Kali. Made some salads and a frozen pizza. Spent the night watching The Following and then went to bed to watch Deception. Right as the TV show ended at 10 PM Kali was panting and shaking. Knew something was wrong. Heard her stomach gurgling and got her off the bed just in time for her to throw up on the wood floor rather than the bed or carpet. Tony jumped out of bed to grab paper towel and clean it up. Got her back to bed and a half hour later, same thing. About a half hour later, a little after 11 PM she was shaking and wanted to get off the bed. With this Old Dog Vestibular disease she has no balance and just falls over when she tries to walk. Carried her outside and she pooped all over the yard, falling, me holding her, pooping more, and so on. Obviously all the poop she didn't get out all day. Got her back to bed and as the night went on we were up at 1:30 AM and 2:30 AM when I heard her gagging and got her off the bed to throw up again. Must be a wild ride she is on that she is so dizzy from this. Finally got to sleep a little after 3 AM.
At 7 AM I heard Kali stirring, she had some how gotten off the bed and was throwing up bile in the corner of the bedroom. Jumped out of bed and at the same time Tony looked at the clock and jumped out of bed also. He usually leaves for work around this time. Cleaned up the mess again, another roll of paper towels. Tony quickly got ready for work while I did the morning routine of feeding them and giving Vito his shot, all while holding Kali with one hand to hold her and stand. Gave Kali about half I usually do and a pill to help with her upset stomach. Tony left for work by 7:30 AM. Spent the morning watching the snow fall and keeping Kali close. Not much I can do since she is scared to death wondering why she feels so dizzy, but be near her and sit next to her. Made it through the morning without her throwing up. Took the dogs to bed for a couple hours this afternoon. Of course this now mean grabbing the blind dog and getting him on the bed, and then grabbing Kali and putting her in a safe spot on the bed, and then getting the other two dogs settled. Around 2:30 PM I snuck out of bed and went out front and shoveled the four plus inches of snow that has fallen during today. By the time I got in the house Kali was at the edge of the bed wanting to get off. Came in just in time. Got her off the bed, and Vito off the bed, and took them all outside to pee. Kali is getting a little bit better on her feet. Although when she tried to go up the ramp, I caught her as she fell to her side. She is not able just yet to walk on her own and I don't want my almost 14 year old dog getting hurt falling. Got Vito and Kali situated on the couch and ran out back to do a little shoveling behind the garage. 'Stay' being the key word as I do anything. By the time I came in she was looking for me again. Will have to wait until Tony gets home to do a good shoveling while he sits next to her. Making spaghetti and salads for supper tonight. Will obviously just be spending the night trying to get Kali through another day. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better and the next a bit better, each day gaining her balance. Good thing I have been through this before or I would be in a panic. Not fun to watch your little baby acting like a drunk sailor. Glad the computer is here in the living room, Kali is on the couch, 10 feet away watching me, wondering when I am coming back to hold her. OK, back to Kali's side.

March 4, 2013 Monday Afternoon
The word for the day is Vertigo. More on this later.
Friday night we spent the night watching the movies Sinister and Lake Placid The Final Chapter. Sinister was good. Lake Placid was just a horror movie and very stupid. Went to bed around 10 PM for a little lovin and then to sleep.
Saturday I spent the day around the house. Tony worked a half day and when he got home and showered, we took a long nap Saturday afternoon. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM to watch SNL. When I saw the host, not someone I knew, we turned off the TV and did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
Sunday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Mad eggs and bacon with a bagel for breakfast. Around noon I took a walk up the street, two blocks, and bought the weekly lottery tickets. Came home and begged Tony to go for a walk along the river trails. He did not want to, said it was too cold. It was only 28 degrees outside but the sun was out. So I went by myself and took a nice hour walk along the river. Came home and made BBQ ribs and salads for supper. Spent the night watching a couple episodes of Body Of Proof and then Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist, before doing the loving thing and then going to bed.
This morning I heard Tony yell into the bedroom around 6 AM 'you better get out of bed, something is wrong with Kali'. Jumped out of bed to find Kali in the kitchen not able to stand. Tony said she woke up like this. My first thought was Vertigo, or Vestibular Old Dog Disease. I dealt with this with Buddy many years ago. Comes on all at once and the dog can not stand or get itself level in the head. She is blinking like a type writer and head hanging to the side. Fed the dogs as Tony held her. Put her down and held her up as she ate. Got her outside and held her to pee. Tony left for work and at 8 AM I called the vet and made an 11 AM appointment. Tony came home a little before the appointment and drove us there. $160 dollars later, yes, Vestibular Disease is most likely what she has. It takes a few days for the dog to get better from this and all you can do is sit with them and make sure they don't try to walk or they will hurt them self. Spent the afternoon on the couch with the dogs, one hand on Kali. Will just make a pizza tonight after Tony gets home from work and spend the night with Kali on the couch. Poor thing can hardly keep her head up without looking drunk. Have to get back to Kali, but wanted to post. Will write more tomorrow. Getting a big snow storm tonight. Suppose to get up to 8 inches or more of snow tomorrow. Wish Winter would just end.

March 1, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Went to the bedroom and watched the last hour of TV in bed before going to sleep around 10 PM. My body was in pain.
Got up this morning a little before 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers. Gave Kali a bath. Her skin condition is getting almost as bad as Barkley's was near the end of his life. Kali now wears a collar cone 24 hours a day or she will lick her under arms bloody. I started putting baby powder on her under arms. At times you can touch them and they are wet from sweat or something. She is going on 14 years old. I think they are hot flashes. The baths, cone and baby powder seem to help. Plus the allergy half a pill I give her each morning with food. If I couldn't keep this under control I would have her to the vet. Left the house around 11 AM to buy something at Walgreen's that they were out of. Drove to Tony's shop to pick him up for lunch and check out the 'kinda cute' guy that was at the shop changing out all his fluorescent lights from 8 foot to 4 foot since they will stop making 8 foot fluorescent light bulbs soon and he got a good deal changing them all out at both his auto body shops through our electric company. The guy was not cute and I told Tony to put on his glasses next time he tells me someone cute is at the shop. Had a great lunch with the guys. Was one of the guys Birthday's so he paid the bill and brought an ice cream cake to share. Dropped Tony off at work and came home for the afternoon. Would have loved to go for a walk but it is windy and cold in Milwaukee today. Only in the low 20s and cloudy. Spent the afternoon watching TV on the couch and reading some magazines. One of the two tenants called and talked to me in the back hallway this afternoon, telling me he is moving out the first of April. Thankfully the lease is in the other roommates name so it will have little effect and he can leave with no problems. The other guy makes enough to cover the rent for a while and I think his girlfriend might move in, which would be fine. If the time comes we need to find a new tenant I will find one who can take care of my dogs for at least a night so Tony and I can have a vacation of some kind. Making left overs and chicken noodle soup for supper tonight. No plans this weekend and will most likely spend the night watching TV and the weekend doing much of the same. Less money gets spent if we stay home, so that is fine with me. The back alley is a mess. The 10 inches of snow is now ice and since no one shovels the alley, it is now just tire tracks down the alley and you can not turn the wheels. Thankfully I shoveled in back of the garage and our area so we can turn the wheels into the car spots or garage. Others are getting stuck. Not going to change much until later next week when 40s is fore casted.

February 28, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching The Middle, The Neighbors, Criminal Minds and CSI. Just watched regular TV rather than from the DVR, fast forwarding through commercials, because we both were so beat from shoveling the snow. I had a hard time even moving by the end of the night. Everything hurt. Getting too old to shovel that heavy of snow. Went to the bed around 8:30 PM and watched the last of the TV shows in bed before going to sleep around 10:20 PM after the local news.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and then did a little painting in the basement with Killz to cover some old water spots. I still am very sore today from yesterday's shoveling. In fact I just took a pain pill to hopefully stop the pain. Did have to go out again this morning and shovel the inch or two of snow we got over the night. Tried to take a nap with the dogs but a half hour into the nap Tony showed up at home to swap cars and got all the dogs up off the bed when they heard him come in the door. Of course I had to grab Vito, being blind, he just wanted to dart off the bed. In fact when Tony came to the bed to say Hi to him, as I had my grip on him, he almost tumbled off the side of the bed. Tony caught him going over the side and almost fell off the bed. Asked Tony to call if he is coming home around nap time so I don't have a dog falling off the bed like almost today. He was out the door in no time and I could not fall asleep. Laid there with the dogs for a while just thinking about life. Finally got up, taking Vito with me. Can't leave him on the bed. Left the other three dogs to sleep and they are still in there as I type this post, sleeping. Poor Vito. He would be lost or hurt if it were not for me taking such good care of him. Have to keep an eye on him now outside also with the high snow drifts. He gets lost outside because I think the map in his head gets screwed up from the snow drifts. Having a diabetic blind dog can be a challenge. But I am up to it, and owe Vito for all the good years he has given me. Making a pork roast, mashed potato, corn and salad for supper tonight. Hopefully enough pork roast to have left overs for tomorrow night. Will just spend the night watching TV from the DVR since there are over 40 shows piling up on the DVR. I honestly can not believe how much pain my body is in from yesterday's and today's shoveling. Damn, I am getting old, or maybe just out of shape?

February 27, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching the last two episodes of The Walking Dead on the DVR. Topped off the night watching Smash and then did the lovin thing before going to sleep.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Tony was up by 5 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Took a sip of coffee and then headed outside to shovel the 8 heavy inches of snow we got over the night. Tony had already shoveled the front and side sidewalks. I headed out back to start shoveling the back sidewalk and behind the garage. Tony soon came out to plow and after a couple sweeps with the plow I realized he was just making it worse by packing down the snow. Told him to get the heck out of here, I would shovel. Spent the morning in and out of the house shoveling the front, side and back as the snow continued to fall. Took me until around 1 PM to get it all shoveled. Damn am I sore from the shoveling. Laid on the bed for an hour with the dogs until a couple phone calls got me out of bed for good. Went outside to shovel the inch or so we got since I shoveled last. Went across the alley to talk with the neighbor for a bit. It is still snowing lightly but it is 33 degrees so it is having a hard time sticking to the areas already shoveled. Making an Oncore dinner and mac and cheese with the salad for supper tonight. I am sure Tony will come home tired from being up early and shoveling around the house and shop all day. Will most likely be an early night to bed with the dogs. I am hopeful this is our last snow storm for the season. I am so ready for Spring.

February 26, 2012 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent the night watching TV. Went to sleep around 10:30 PM after the loving thing.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper and watching TV. Showered and was out the door around 10 AM to go to McDonald's for some breakfast and then to Pick N Save to do the weekly grocery shopping. I usually go on Wednesdays for double coupon day, but there is a snow storm coming tonight and all day tomorrow so I thought it best to get it over with today so I don't have to go out driving in the snow tomorrow. I will most likely be busy shoveling all day tomorrow. Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon. Called AT&T this afternoon to see if they could lower my bill and if any promotions were available since all have seemed to run out and the bill has gone up to almost $170 a month. After a 10 minute phone conversation with them they will take $20 off each months bill for the next year. Not bad, I will take the discount. Always pays to ask. As I type this post it is snowing. It just started. Suppose to get about 6 inches of wet heavy snow this evening, tonight and tomorrow. The snow is coming down fast and furious. It is very windy and the snow is falling sideways as I look across the street. Going to be a cold nasty night. Making some stuffed pork chops I bought today with a side of noodles for supper tonight. Will make some salads also. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR watching the snow fall.
February 25, 2013 Monday Afternoon
I guess you could say we had an Oscar movie watching weekend.
Spent Friday night watching Criminal Minds, Law And Order, NCIS LA and then went to bed for some lovin.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and deciding what we would do for the weekend. Since we had already seen Les Miserables (which I love and have watched twice), The Impossible (which should have been a bigger movie and seen by more people. Totally under rated movie) and Argo (which we did enjoy and glad it won) prior to this weekend. I figured since the Oscars were on Sunday, and we usually never know what the movies are about or seen them, we would watch them all this weekend before the Oscar show Sunday night.
Spent the rest of Saturday watching Zero Dark Thirty (very good movie), DJango Unchained (had a hard time feeling good about enjoying this movie. Don't get me wrong, it was a great movie, but hearing the n word so often felt wrong. Great story and acting), Silver Linings Playbook (very good movie) and Lincoln (very good and learned about history), before going to bed around 11 PM.
Sunday morning we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read most of the Sunday newspaper and then showered and went to picked up Tony's mom and took her out for breakfast. Stopped off at Menard's to return the stapler I bought earlier in the week. Ended up spending about the same as the refund on other items around the store. Dropped Tony's mom off at her home and then on the way home stopped and bought gas and lottery tickets for the week. Got home and before we continued our movie marathon I thought I would go for a long walk along the river trails. Couldn' talk Tony into going with me, which is fine, I like my walks along the river enough to go alone. Came home and spent the rest of the afternoon watching The Sessions (very good and give credit to Helen Hunt for feeling so comfortable with her body to appear nude in the movie) and Life Of Pi (love this movie, did I get the ending right? Were the animals the mother and crew that survived and eventually killed each other?). Ordered some Jimmy John subs for supper and spent the night watching the Oscars. Was happy enough with the results. Went to bed after the Oscars, Tony was already snoring away sleeping.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read a little of the morning newspaper and then went back to bed for a couple hours. Didn't feel good. Felt edgy and tired. Was good to go back to bed and start the day over when I got up a little after 10 AM. Got some things done around the house, showered, ate some lunch and then went for a nice walk along the river trails. Brought my camera to take some pictures. Here are a few pictures from the trails and the big ice chunks along the river banks.

Just plan on making a hamburger helper lasagna for supper tonight with a salad. Will most likely spend the night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following, and Deception, before going to bed tonight.

February 22, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Yesterday afternoon I had a board meeting at ARCW that went from noon until a little after 2 PM. Picked up my monthly HIV prescriptions when I was there at the pharmacy. Came home and laid back on the couch listening to some music. Around 3:45 PM the dogs went jumping off the couch heading for the back door. I waited and soon Tony came around the corner into the living room. I asked him what he was doing home and he said 'I'm home'. I asked again, why are you home so early and he said 'because I can'. OK. Threw me totally off schedule and didn't even think until after dinner that I had not posted that day like I usually do. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR before going to bed for a little lovin before sleep. I did find out the meeting at MADACC regarding the fight dogs went very good and a lot of people including the news showed up at the meeting. Two of our elected officials are working on new legislation so this never happen again and more importantly that these dogs are not destroyed when they as evidence are no longer needed. I still can not believe these 15 dogs are considered evidence and not just dogs with a spirit and heart.
Got up this morning at 6 AM and fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Go up early because I knew from the night before weather report there would be snow on the ground. Got about 5 inches of snow. Before Tony could leave with the plow truck I shoveled the front sidewalk and back behind the garage so he could plow the alley. If I get out there before he plows I can shovel the snow into the middle of the alley and then he can move it from there with the plow to another area down the alley. Our area behind our house is now clear all the way to Center street. Read the morning newspapers when I was done shoveling a little after 8 AM. Cup of coffee sure tasted good as I warmed up from the cold. Showered and met Tony and the guys for our usual Friday laugh therapy lunch. Had a great lunch as usual. Love these guys. Came home and spent the afternoon doing some movie downloads and listening to Kelly Clarkson Greatest Hits. Downloaded it a while ago and had not listen to it even though I knew or heard most of the songs on the radio. Will just make some salads and chicken pot pies for supper tonight. I most likely will have to go out and shovel before supper because it has been snowing a little, but steady, all afternoon and another inch or so has piled up on the sidewalk. Better to get it shoveled up then have it turn to ice. Will spend the night watching TV from the DVR. Will most likely do a lot of that this weekend since we have no plans at this time. My shoulder is getting better from the fall on the ice a couple days ago. Just hurts to lay on it and reach above my head, but it is getting better. Was a little hard to sleep last night not being able to lay on my right side.

February 20, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Finished off the night watching Smash in bed with Tony and the dogs. Before bed I took another pain pill and an anti inflammatory pill for my shoulder pain from the fall on the ice earlier in the day. Was hard to find a comfortable way to sleep since I could not lay on my right side due to the pain in my shoulder.
This morning I got out of bed around 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony out the door for work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers we receive. Showered around 9 AM and went out the door at 10 AM to go grocery shopping. Stopped off at McDonald's for a bacon egg and cheese bagel and a sausage burrito for lunch. Got the grocery shopping done and saved about a third of the cost in double coupons and sale items. After being home a while I took another pain pill for my shoulder and laid on the bed listening to music with the dogs for a while. I love laying in bed with the dogs. Vito and Kali on the head pillows. Bo being spooned by Stella as he sleeps in her chest. I spooned Stella with my sore arm around the both of them. It was a three way spoonfest. I think it is my favorite time of the day when I can just lay there holding my dogs and thinking about life. Been a lot of activity regarding the fight dogs being kept at MADACC here in Milwaukee. Hopefully a bill is in the works and will be done in a month according to our elected officials. So many other stories are coming to light about the abuse these dogs receive at the shelters after they are saved from dog fighting rings. In Memphis over 43 dogs have died in their cages in the past year. A few are even missing, yes, missing. How can a civilized society allow this to happen to man's best friend? Had an interesting conversation with my sister today. We were talking about the dog fighting scandal and about the woman taking over MADACC. I told her 'if the world were run by women there would be more compasion'. My sister, surprisingly added, I think if the world were also run by 'gay people' there would be more compassion. Wow, this coming from a sister who 20 years ago told me she would raise her kids that my lifestyle is wrong. Guess people do change. Making some salads and chicken pot pies for supper tonight. We have tickets and are going to see the pay Sister Act here in Milwaukee. Should be a fun show. Hopefully Tony will not fall asleep while the play is going on like most times. Sunny but very cold in Milwaukee again today. It is 20 degrees outside but the wind makes it feel much colder. Heard a story on the news last night that the hospitals are filling up with people who have fallen and injured on the ice and snow. I believe it. I did it myself yesterday and can still feel the pain.

February 19, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Some days you wish you could just start over.
Got up this morning at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and cruising the Internet. Left the house at 11 AM. On my way out the door and rounding the garage, just as I was saying to myself to not slip on the ice, I slipped bad on the ice. Falling on my right shoulder. Funny how the first thing you do is look around to see if anyone saw you fall. LOL. Got myself off the ground and the snow brushed off and got in the car. If I didn't have to leave the house today I wouldn't. It is 10 degrees above zero with a wind chill below zero here in Milwaukee today. Since I had to go to the southwest side of town for the MADACC meeting to free the dogs, I decided to go to Menard's right down the street to buy an electric staple gun. Have a hand one but wanted one with more punch so I figured since my other electric one jammed and broke and I had a $20 gift certificate for Menard's, I would make the trip worth the while. Bought the stapler and a few other items at Menard's. Even walked around the store for ideas on my Summer projects I already am planning in my head. Had a ton of time to kill between Menard's and the 1 PM meeting so I went to Rocky's for a slice of pizza and bread sticks. Then sat in the car at MADACC for almost a half hour before I walked in the door at 12:45 PM to be told the meeting was canceled and rescheduled for Thursday. They said it was rescheduled because of the election today. Yah right. They just know how many of us are planning to show up at this meeting. I can not go on Thursday because I have another board meeting at ARCW. Drove home and found out after taking the stapler apart from the packaging that it does not work good and won't even put a staple in wood like the hand one can. Repackaged it up to return it. So now it was 2 PM, I have sore shoulder from falling on the ice, I wasted my time going to a meeting that didn't exist, and bought a stapler that now has to be returned. Figured it was time to lay on the bed with the dogs for a while. It is very windy today with the cold and the canopy over the bedroom window outside had been keeping us up at night and was again this afternoon as it kept flopping into the window. About a half hour into the nap I just got up and bundled up, went outside, and got out the big ladder and put some clips on the canopy so it can not flop against the house. At least I figure I got something accomplished now. Making a meat loaf, mashed potato, corn and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely spend the night watching TV and staying warm with the dogs. Time to take a pain pill for my shoulder pain. I have a feeling I messed up my shoulder bad.

February 18, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Friday night we spent the night watching TV. I got a phone call around 9 PM from someone at MADACC to respond to the message I had left early in the day. I talked, he talked, and soon I had had enough of his excuses about why these fight dogs have been locked up for almost two years. He actually had a laugh in his voice and said the reason for all this uproar is simply due to the fact it is 'February sweeps ratings month' on TV. I tried to explain to him again why people like me are so upset is the fact it took a reporter to try to change the laws rather than MADACC trying, if they truly cared about the dogs. It is all about the money. Did the loving thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
Saturday we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspaper and watching TV. Left for the car show around 11 AM and we were back home by 2 PM with chili from Wendy's. Took a nice nap with the dogs and slept until about 4 PM. Made some hamburgers for supper. Spent the night watching the movie Bully and the movie Argo. Both were very good movies. Why Bully is not allowed to be shown in schools is beyond me. Every kid should have to watching the movie Bully when they are in middle school. Argo was very good also and encourage you to rent it. Went to bed around 10 PM and watched SNL in bed. Turned off the TV at midnight and went to sleep.
Sunday we were up again by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Tony wanted to go have breakfast with his mom, I was not fond of the idea. Ended up finally going to George Webb's for breakfast around 11 AM. Stopped off at Walgreen's for some sale items and then the corner grocery store for lottery tickets. Watched a little TV and then went into the bedroom to nap. Of course Tony naps best after sex, so we did the loving thing and then napped. Ordered some subs from Domino's for supper delivered. Spent the night watching The Good Wife and Mentalist before doing the loving thing again and going to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Didn't sleep well from all the napping the day before. Told myself I will not nap today. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and doing some cleaning and vacuuming around the house. Tony called around 11 AM to tell me about a handsome guy on M TV show called Catfish that the guys at the shop had on the TV. Of course I wonder why they are watching TV. Must have been break time. Turned the channel to watch the show and got sucked into it for the entire hour. At noon I went for my usual walk along the river trails. Was mad I did not bring my camera since the snow is almost all melted and you can really see the big ice blocks that are up on the shoreline. They are a foot thick and 12 feet long. Had a great walk and got home around 1:30 PM. Put on some music and relaxed on the couch with the dogs for an hour. Making Chicken Corden Blue and beef rice tonight with a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following, and Deception before going to sleep. Tomorrow I am going to a general meeting at MADACC open to the public to discuss this dog fighting scandal. The meeting is at noon. I figure I will go to voice my support for the dogs. Rain is coming. It got to 40 degrees today but suppose to rain by supper time, turning to snow by morning. In the teens tomorrow for high temps. Spring, where are you?

February 15, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Tony got home from work around 5:30 PM. As he was getting his work clothes off I looked at him and said 'it sure is damp and cold outside, what would you think of snuggling in for the night and ordering a Lisa's pizza'. He looked at me and said 'sounds great, I hated thinking about going back out in the cold'. So Tony showered and I ordered a pizza for delivery. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Watched The Walking Dead from Sunday, Law And Order SVU from Wednesday, and CSI from last week before going to bed around 10 PM. Watched the local news to hear about a story the made me so mad and still does. Guess our Animal Control here in Milwaukee has been holding about 15 dogs for over 2 years in cages, never going outside, never getting walked, and no human contact except for getting fed each day, FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS. The dogs were taken from a dog fighting ring almost 2 years ago and are being held as evidence. Of course the guys charged with the crimes are living free on the streets while these and many other dogs are kept in a back room, in small cages, never seeing the light of day until the case is solved and then they are killed. WTF? This story made me so mad. Finished the news, did the Valentine loving thing and went to bed.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work. Spent the morning reading the newspapers, doing a couple movie downloads, and then at 10 AM when MADACC opened I called and left a message for the manager telling him just what I thought of them holding these dogs like this and not treating them humanly. Here is a link to the story if your interested:
WISN 12 News investigates incarcerated dogs rescued from dog-fighting rings | News - WISN Home
It is quite alarming and so wrong. They are simply holding these dogs to collect money from us tax payers for every day they keep them, even as the criminals are out on the streets at this time and the DA says the dogs no longer need to be kept as 'evidence'. This story has shocked many and I am sure something will change. Showered and met the guys and Tony for lunch. Had a great lunch as usual. Came home and spent an hour or so just laying on the couch with the dogs listening to music. Will just make left over spaghetti and pizza with a salad for supper tonight. Most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR. Tomorrow we are going to a Classic Car show hear that is yearly. Tony got free tickets which makes me happy since it is usually about $15 each to get into this show. I go just to look at the men at the show while Tony looks at the cars. Suppose to be a cold weekend so we will do very little besides the car show, going outside. Have a great weekend everyone.

February 14, 2013 Valentines Day
Spent last night watching TV from the DVR. Watched Revenge and a couple half hour sitcoms that were on the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and watching TV. It was cold, cloudy and damp in Milwaukee today. Not a good day to go outside. Only got to 33 degrees today. I've felt cold all day and I have the heat turned up to 70 degrees in the house. Still cold. Took a nice long nap with the dogs and got about 2 hours of sleep. Nice nap for once. Tonight we are suppose to go out for supper to celebrate Valentines Day. Since it is so cold and damp outside I am hoping when Tony comes home from work he doesn't want to venture out again and we order a pizza or something, and just stay in tonight. If we do go out it will just be to a local bar for some bar burgers since we don't have reservations anywhere and most restaurants will be packed. We will exchange cards and I bought Tony a balloon. Tony will most likely buy me flowers or a flower. I told him again yesterday that he does not have to buy a dozen roses and waste the money. One rose or even a dandelion picked would be fine. Of course he looked at me and said 'will a stick be ok'. I told him as long as he takes the time to pick out just the right 'stick', it would be fine. Honestly it is just the thought and action that makes me happy, not the amount spent or how big the gift is.
Happy Valentines Day to my followers. Hope you have a great day with the ones you love.

February 13, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Went out for supper last night for tacos, rice and beans, and of course a strawberry margarita. After eating we went to a meeting on the proposed apartment complex going up directly across the street. We were shown the proposal and given time to talk about it. I had a lot of questions. Got all my questions answered. They are putting up a 32 unit apartment complex with rents starting at $1500 a month. I think that is high but I would rather have people who can afford that living across the street then some low income housing project. In fact it could have been much worse. We were all told the lot is big enough and zoned for an 8 story high building with 110 units. WTF? Can you imagine if I had to look out my front window to an eight story apartment complex? So I guess we should be happy they didn't do the full scale project they could have on this land. The drawings look like it will be nice to look at which is important being right out my front window. The project should start in Spring and you can be sure I will post pictures as the construction begins and goes on. Actually I can't wait for all the construction workers I will be able to watch for about 6 months right outside my window. Might have to set up a table and chairs in the front yard. LOL. Set up a lemonade stand? LOL. Got home a little after 9 PM just as Obama was finishing his speech. I did want to hear it but heard the highlights and the stupid Republican response to the speech. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony out the door for work. Spent the early morning reading the newspapers and was out the door by 10 AM to get my usual McDonald's bacon egg and cheese bagel and a sausage burrito to heat up for lunch. Ate the bagel in the Pick N Save parking lot before going in and doing the weekly grocery shopping. Bought Tony a Valentine balloon along with the groceries. Got home and by noon I left the house again to go for my usual walk along the river trails. I really had to push myself today to get out and do the walk. I have done so little the past few days I knew I needed the walk. Had a great walk and was so glad I pushed myself out the door to do it. I can clear my head and feel so much more relaxed after a walk. Got home and ate the burrito from McDonald's and then took a short nap on the bed with the dogs. Don't think I got much sleep but was able to just lay there with the dogs and listen to some good music. Making spaghetti with the rib meat left overs from Monday. I know we had spaghetti last week, Tony is Italian, he could eat it every day. Will make some salads to go with the spaghetti. Most likely will spend the night watching TV from the DVR since it records shows daily and there is always another show adding to the DVR. The Walking Dead started up again last Sunday so I am sure we will watch that first. It got to 40 degrees today in Milwaukee and was sunny almost all day. Tomorrow we are going to get a couple inches of snow, just in time since the snow we have is almost gone. Would be happy if it was just rain. Tired of the snow and shoveling even though it has not been that bad this year again, so far. Suppose to be a very cold weekend back in the teens.

February 12, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching TV as I said in yesterdays post. Went to bed around 9 PM to watch the last TV show. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot, and got Tony off to work. I did very little around here today. Spent the morning reading the two newspapers and then a couple magazines that were laying around. Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon. Cleaned up the side yard and emptied the poop bucket. I'm just happy I still have been able to keep up with the four dogs droppings throughout this Winter again. Won't be a huge pile to pick up come Spring. The sun is out but it is only about 28 degrees outside with a slight wind making it feel colder. Tonight we have a meeting to go to regarding the apartment complex that is going up across the street. The meeting is at the park pavilion a block down the street and starts at 7 PM. Thankfully the owner of the apartment complex to the north stopped at Tony's shop yesterday to tell him of the meeting or we would not even have known about it. I will address this at the meeting. Figure we might as well go out for dollar tacos at the Mexican restaurant half way between here and the park pavilion and meeting. Will most likely then spend the night watching Obama on TV and go to bed. Wish I had more to say or report, but I just laid low all day today and took it easy.

February 11, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night beginning to clear the DVR of the 43 shows on it. Watched TV until around 10 PM and went to bed.
Saturday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Noticed some animal tracks in the side yard so I cued up the outside camera DVR and looked to see what animal came into the side yard. It was my possum that comes often to eat the bread. I just don't want him settling in under the deck like he did last Winter for a few days until I chased him out. The dogs go nuts knowing it was in the yard, they can smell it. Spent the morning and early afternoon watching a TV show called American Family Diggers. There was a marathon of the show and it got us sucked in. Actually a very educational TV show finding army artifacts and stuff buried in peoples yards. Around 2 PM I noticed Tony starting to fall asleep on the couch so I went for a nice long walk along the river trails. It was 32 degrees and by the time I reached home I had my jacket open and was actually sweating from the walk. Was glad I got out of the house for an hour or so. Wish I would have brought my camera to take pictures of the huge 12 inch thick sheets of ice that the wind has pushed up onto the shore and paths along the shore. At times I was standing on top of these sheets of ice looking down on the river 8 feet below me thinking, how the heck did these huge sheets of ice get all the way up here. Spent the rest of the day watching TV from the DVR. Made hamburgers for supper and spent the night watching more TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday morning we were up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. It rained all day on Sunday. At times quite hard. I did manage to walk up two blocks up the street to a corner store to buy lottery tickets before it started raining hard. The rain did a good job of getting rid of about half the snow on the ground. We did nothing all day because of the rain. Took a nice nap in the afternoon which I really think was an excuse for Tony to get some lovin. Made a frozen pizza and salads for supper. Spent the night almost clearing the DVR of the 40 or more shows on it by the time we went into the bedroom to watch the Music Award show on TV. After the show was over we did the lovin thing again and went to sleep.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning going through my taxes and ADAP paperwork one last time making sure it is all filled out properly and got it all in the mail. Talked to my mom on the telephone for a while. After I had a can of tomato soup for lunch I took a short nap with the dogs. Slept for about an hour before the phone rang and got me out of bed. Wrong number. Why do the always call during nap time? Have to put a load of laundry away and get going on supper. Making a rack of ribs, baked potato, corn and salad tonight for supper. I love ribs and it would be my last meal if I ever was on death row. LOL. Will most likely spend the night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following and Deception before going to bed tonight. It got to 30 degrees today in Milwaukee but because of the strong wind it felt very cold outside. To cold for a walk today.

February 8, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Last night the snow just kept falling. Watched American Idol and Glee on TV. Went outside one last time to shovel the snow at 9 PM. Came in and shortly went to bed to watch a couple episodes of Hardcore Pawn on our big 110 inch TV in the bedroom. Here is a picture of what sleep time looks like at our house. You can see Kali, Vito and Bo across the top of the bed row of pillows. Tony sleeps on one side of the bed, Stella in the middle, and me in the empty space on the other end of the bed. It was worse, we once had five dogs.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Got bundled up and went outside to shovel so I could push the snow away from the garage and Tony could plow it away before he left for work for the day. Shoveled the side yard for the dogs and the front sidewalk. Had to make paths around the side yard for Vito. Since he is blind, when it snows like this, he gets very lost outside. The snow is about 6 inches deep and I had to go out and get him once already today, lost in a corner. The snow is very pretty. Here are some pictures of the view looking North and South.
The snow is just hanging on the trees and looks so pretty. Here is a picture of the house.
Met Tony and the guys for lunch. Had a great lunch as usual laughing and telling stories. Stopped off to make copies of my taxes at a copy store so I can get them in the mail next week. Then went to Pick N Save to buy some fresh fruit and produce for the weekend. Will spend the rest of the afternoon doing some cleaning and vacuuming around the house. Making fried left over spaghetti and a salad for Tony's supper tonight. I will eat the chili I brought home from lunch and a salad for supper. Will most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR since there are over 40 shows on the DVR to watch. No plans this weekend. Will most likely spend most of the weekend at home with the dogs, staying warm, watching TV. It got to about 30 degrees today in Milwaukee. Usually the snow falls off the trees by now. It still is so pretty outside with the trees all covered in snow.

February 7, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol, Hot In Cleveland and Happily Divorced. Went to sleep around 10:20 PM after the local news. Couldn't sleep so I got out my IPod and listened to Pink. I do love her new CD and it is my favorite right now to listen to.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. I have honestly done nothing all day but watch the snow fall. Read the morning newspapers, watched some TV and this afternoon I laid on the bed with the dogs listening to some old Disco favorites that I use to dance to back 30 years ago. As I was listening to them I did the math. Wow, where has 30 years gone? Where did all the energy I had back then dancing go? As each song played I can picture where I danced to that song the most and why I fell in love with the song, or the person I danced with to that song back then, most likely dating them at the time. I often wonder if people in my past ever think of me. I do think of them. About 15 years ago I went on this quest to find as many people that I hung out with when I was 18 to 25 years old. I found a couple and was actually disappointed in the conversations. I guess there friendship ment more to me than it ment to them. It was actually sad how fast people move on and forget those in their past who helped them get where they are today and what they are today. There are still many more I would love to find and communicate with. One past lover I sent letters all over the country hoping for a response. Never found the guy. I must have sent over 100 letters to every Ruben Velez in the USA with no luck. We dated for several months when I was in my fourth year of college. Am I the only person who wonders if others ever think of you as much as you still think of them? Sure would have been nice to keep in touch and know how they are doing. Are they happy? Did I make a difference in their life? Would love to be able to tell them that they indeed made a difference in mine. I actually back in my dating and coming out years wrote down every person's name I ever dated. There were a lot, and I only found a few in my quest to find them.
The snow has been falling since this morning. We are suppose to get around 5 inches by the time it all ends around midnight tonight. Will most likely go out and shovel before I go to bed so that tomorrows shoveling isn't so bad from what we get over night. Making left over spaghetti tonight since I made so much. Have enough for two more suppers. Since Tony could eat spaghetti every day I will heat up a plate tonight and then fry up the rest tomorrow night for supper. Will make some salads and I will most likely just have a sandwich or something with the salad.

February 6, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching the Betty White Birthday Bash. God bless her for all the energy she has at her age. Finished off the night watching Smash. Went to bed for some lovin before we went to sleep around 10:30 PM.
This morning I was up at 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Cleaned my bathroom and toilet today. I hate cleaning the bathrooms. Tony usually does it because he knows I hate it so much. Had no excuse for not cleaning it since he is busy working. Smells nice and Pine Sol like now. Spent the rest of the day doing things around the house. Tried to take a nap with the dogs but Vito for some reason wanted to lay in my arms the entire time and get a belly rub. Every time I stopped he would bark at me to start again. After about an hour and a half I just got up out of bed rather than continue to hold and pet him. Stella stays in bed for another hour or so until Bo bothers her so much to play she just decides to get up. I closed the gate after we left the bedroom today so Stella could get an extra hour of uninterrupted sleep without Bo bothering her. Have a pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove. Making spaghetti tonight with garlic bread and salad. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol since it is guy night on the show. Got up to 30 degrees today in Milwaukee. The clouds have now rolled in and tonight we are getting more snow overnight. We need a layer of snow to cover up the dirty snow that is everywhere now along the streets, and all the yellow snow in the side yard from the dogs.

February 5, 2013 Tuesday Afternoon
Spent last night watching How I Met Your Mother, Rules Of Engagement, The Following and Deception on TV. Went to bed around 10:20 PM after the local news.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Read a little of the morning newspaper and went back to bed for an hour. Got up around 10 AM and showered. Left the house around 12:30 PM to stop at Pick N Save for some salad and then to a board meeting with ARCW. Had a good meeting and picked up my monthly food at the pantry while I was there. Came home and will do a little cleaning and laundry prior to supper. Just making some salads and TV dinners for supper tonight. Hopefully Tony had a big lunch since he will not be happy with a TV dinner. Hey, it is a Hungry Man TV dinner, which is enough for me. LOL. Will most likely spend the night watching Betty White's Birthday Bash and then Smash. Three other TV shows will be recording as we watch those shows. Got more snow this morning, a couple inches of fluffy snow. Shoveled before I left for my meeting. We keep getting these little snow clippers that drop a couple inches each day the last few days. The ground is covered with snow and there is about 4 inches of snow on the ground. Thankfully it is a fluffy snow and never amounts to much. It did get in the 20s today so it was not as bad as it could be this time of year. Still no rabbits, the bread I put out last night was still in the back yard when I woke up. Seeing a little bunny in the back yard would make my day.

February 4, 2013 Monday Afternoon
Spent Friday night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
Saturday morning we were up by 7 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching home improvement shows on TV. Went to leave the house around 11 AM to go to the Pet Expo here in town for the day. I love seeing all the different dog breeds. As we were leaving I ran into my tenant and his girlfriend. I started talking to them and then mentioned how we don't have any more rabbits and the parts of rabbit I found in the back yard behind the garage. My tenant looks at me and says, 'it wasn't rabbit parts, it was the deer I shot'. I was overjoyed to find out those parts of an animal were not my rabbit, but why the hell are you throwing deer parts over the deck and to the ground? Also, where then are all the rabbits? To this day, still no rabbits and the bread is out there each morning untouched. It did make my day to learn it was not my rabbit I have fed for a year, dead, and in parts in the back yard. Went to the Pet Expo and got a lot of dog food samples to bring home and mix with the food I buy. I figure the more samples we get helps cover the cost of entering the event. Ended up buying two jackets for Stella, which fit snug and come off in time when she moves. Waste of money. Also bought about $20 in dog toys. Got home and gave the toys to the dogs, thinking they were strong toys. No such luck. Stella had them ripped apart in a half hour. Twenty dollars in dog toys in the garbage in a half hour of being home. It is hard to find a toy Stella can not ruin. Cheapest thing to do is just put a tennis ball in an old sock. Takes the dogs sometime a day to get the ball out by tugging and ripping the sock. Decided to take a short nap around 3 PM which really was an excuse for Tony to get some lovin. Was not in bed long and got up to watch TV and start thinking about what to make for supper. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Went to bed around 10:30 PM.
Sunday morning we were up at 7 AM again. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the Sunday newspaper. Made eggs and bacon for breakfast. Left the house around noon to go to Walmart. I got Tony to agree to go with my to buy another few months of Insulin and the list of other household items we need. Ended up spending over $300 at Walmart. Of course the Insulin and needles were $80 of the total. Got the house stocked for another 3 months hopefully since I do not usually enjoy going to Walmart. At least not our Walmart here on the Eastside. By the time we got everything on the list it was getting busy and the costumers were not getting any nicer, or prettier. Got out of there and came home. Spent the rest of the day watching the gay movie When Boys Fly. It was about circuit boys and the circuit parties. Was interesting. We then watching Paranormal Activity 2, 3 and 4. All were pretty much the same and can be quite boring at times waiting for something to happen as the film rolls. Made some steaks and salads for supper. Spent the night watching the last Paranormal movie and then tried to watch a spoof on them called Supernatural Activity. About a half hour into the movie we turned it off, it was not funny at all. Spent the rest of the night watching some Modern Family reruns. Went to sleep around 10 PM after some lovin.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning outside shoveling the snow that never seemed to stop. Made a final copy of my taxes and filled out my paperwork for ADAP in between shoveling the snow. Called and left a message for ADAP to call me since I have questions on filling out the form. Stopped snowing around noon and we got a few inches of fluffy snow. Made myself a can of tomato soup for lunch. Took a nice nap with the dogs this afternoon. I consider any nap where I actually get some sleep, a good nap. Making some hamburgers and baked beans for supper tonight. Also making some sweet potato french fries which I got with my pantry food a while back. I have never tried sweet potato french fries so I have no idea if I will eat them, or like them. Will let you know tomorrow what I thought of them. Will most likely spend the night watching TV. Tony always comes home tired on Monday's so we will most likely be in bed early.
I am so happy to know my rabbit did not die in the back yard, but where the heck are they. Do rabbits hibernate? Has been over two weeks now since I have seen one eat any break or out in the front or back yard.
February 1, 2013 Friday Afternoon
Spent last night watching American Idol and then Glee before we went to bed. Did the lovin thing and went to sleep by 10 PM. I still find myself looking out the window or watching the camera monitors hoping to see a bunny. No such luck, but I keep hoping.
This morning I was up at 6 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the newspapers and watching Kelly and Michael, The View, and Anderson Cooper prior to Tony picking me up to go to lunch. Stopped off at Walgreen's on the way to lunch so I could run in and get a prescription I had called in yesterday. Had a great lunch with the guys as usual. Sometimes our bellies hurt from laughing so hard at someones story. Tony dropped me off at home and I will spend the afternoon keeping warm with the dogs. It was 5 degrees with a wind chill of 20 below when we got up this morning. Hasn't warmed up much since then. I have to yell at the dogs to get them back in the house as their legs and paws freeze outside when they go potty. Kali has it down pretty good, she waits until the last moment, lets me know she has to go out, and runs out, does her thing, and runs back in. Good thing since she has no hair. She comes in shivering needing Daddy hugs to get warm. Stella and Bo are another story. Takes them so long to get their sent, by the time they start to poop, they can't stand on all four legs and I have had to go out and grab Bo, since he could not walk. Stella is to heavy to carry and I have to yell at her to come in NOW. Vito has been pretty good as long as I keep yelling at him the entire time saying 'hurry up, hurry up, come on'. He almost did not make it in the house once this morning his paws were so frozen. Moving to a warmer climate is not an option at this point. Maybe when Tony sells the Auto Body shop and he retires. My parents have a Condo in Florida I have never seen due to the damn dogs and not being able to leave them. Sure would be nice to be down there now. I think tomorrow it is to get up to 20 degrees, so a warm up is on the way. LOL. Those of course are high temps for the day. It gets pretty cold at night. Will just make some salads and left overs from last night for Tony for supper tonight. Most likely watch TV from the DVR since it has filled up all week as we watched American Idol live. Tomorrow I hope to get Tony to go to the yearly dog show at State Fair Park. We go almost every year to see the dogs, get the free samples of dog food, and buy a dog toy or two. Tony would rather not go but in two weeks there is a car show there that I will go with him to and have as much interest as the dog show to him. Being together makes it all better and we do all most everything together on the weekends. Other than that no plans this weekend. I hear there is a big football game this weekend. LOL. I honestly don't even know who is playing. We will be watching a movie Sunday night. Hey, did I mention I am gay? No interest in the Super Bowl, not even the half time show. Heck, we have already seen most of the commercials.

January 31, 2013 Thursday Afternoon
Tony got home early last night from work. He was home before 5 PM, even before I fed the dogs supper. Fed the dogs and got supper fast tracked to eat a little early. Spent the night watching American Idol. Went to the bedroom around 9 PM for a round of lovin before we went to sleep. Had a hard time sleeping last night due to the wind and something lightly banging against the outside wall. I think it is the outside window canopy. When it is warmer outside I will have to fix what is making the noise. Too cold out there now.
Got up this morning at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the morning reading the morning newspaper, catching up on emails I needed to respond to, and then I had a thought. We have an old toilet in the basement that we removed from the first bathroom years ago. It is not hooked up and just a spare. I thought, maybe I can change out the flush unit in that toilet with the one that doesn't work, that Tony broke the night before. I usually leave mechanical, electric and plumbing issues to Tony. Disconnected the unit on the toilet tank not being used in the basement with the one in my bathroom. Took me about a half hour. I was so proud of myself when I got it all hooked up and flushed the toilet, and it worked great. Had to disconnect the water hose to the toilet, remove the broken unit in the tank, connect the one from the basement, connecting the water and everything. Then had to adjust the water level on the uni. If I had waited for Tony to do it who knows when that toilet would have gotten fixed. I do enjoy challenging myself like this. I am so afraid of someday Tony not being around for problems like this. So when I fix these kind of issues it makes me feel like I could make it. Guess I can put plumber on my resume? Made a quick batch of chocolate chip cookies. Laid down on the bed with the dogs around 1 PM and of course the phone rang 15 minutes later. Was a board member and we ended up talking for a half hour. After that I just got up out of bed and made myself a cup of coffee. It is in the teens today in Milwaukee with a wind chill of zero. Kinda cold, but tomorrow is suppose to be even worse. High of 5 degrees tomorrow. Damn that is going to be cold. I will have to leave the house tomorrow to have lunch with the guys. Will be hard to do with it being so damn cold. Will most likely have Tony pick me up on his way there since by the time he would pick me up his car might be warm. Making a Lasagna hamburger helper tonight for supper with a salad and bread. Will most likely spend the night watching American Idol and then Glee before we go to bed.

January 30, 2013 Wednesday Afternoon
Tony got home from work around 5:30 PM. Ate supper. After supper right before Tony took his shower, when he flushed the toilet, it wouldn't stop running. No matter what we did the water just kept filling the tank. Must be broken. Have to turn the water on an off under the toilet until Tony has time to fix it. I have no clue, but I figure the entire flushing unit in the tank will have to be replaced when he has time. Thankfully it can still be used and we have a second bathroom. Spent the night watching TV from the DVR. Mostly a few Hardcore Pawn shows we had been piling up on the DVR. Went to bed around 10 PM.
This morning I was up at 6:30 AM. Thought I was going to start my day like yesterday, throwing up, but was able to keep everything down. A few crackers helped. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Spent the early morning reading the newspaper and watching the news about the incoming snow storm. What a difference a day can make here in Milwaukee. Yesterday we were at 60 degrees and sunny. Today we are at 28 degrees and have a couple inches of snow. The snow started falling around 10 AM. I was lucky to leave and do the weekly grocery shopping early and got home just as the snow started to fall. Spent a little time on the Internet. Was happy to see an email from the lady in the book called Endal that I read and wrote to last week. Got her email from searching the web and wrote her last week. Told her how much her book and story touched my life. Was surprised to even get a response. Took a nice long two hour nap with the dogs. Got up at 2:30 PM and after a half cup of coffee I went outside to shovel the two inches of snow we got while I was sleeping. It has stopped snowing. Was suppose to snow all day and get much more snow than we got. I am not complaining. Suppose to get very cold now and tomorrow a high of 12 degrees. Making some chicken cordon blue and rice for supper with a salad tonight. We will most likely spend the night watching American Idol while the DVR records the other shows we usually watch. Seems Tuesday and Wednesday nights are a big day for the DVR each week. Sometimes the DVR is recording four shows at once. Will most likely spend tomorrow in the house due to the cold. No reason to go outside. Funny, yesterday I had the pond pump going and today the pond is frozen over. Still no rabbits. I am sure a cat or something has killed them all. It has been over a week since I have seen a rabbit and yesterday was nice enough for them to come out if they were still alive. Like I said in an early post, I found some parts of a rabbit in the back yard. Pretty sure it was a rabbit, but hard to tell from the small pieces of it around the yard. Might sound weird to spend so much time worrying about some rabbits, but they kept me going for the last four years the month after I found out I was HIV. Been watching them through the Nature Cameras I have outside for four years. The rabbit I was watching daily was the third generation from the first one I say February 2009. Before that, for the past 20 years, we never had any rabbits around the neighborhood because of the cats. So damn sad a cat can kill them all in the neighborhood in a week. There was even a story in the newspaper today about how dangerous stray cats are to animals outside. Pisses me off, I don't let my four dogs run around the neighborhood. I keep looking out in the bushes hoping to see one, but it has been over a week and I have to just get it through my head they are all gone and dead. They brought a smile to my face daily as I fed them bread and carrots.
