Spent yesterday doing things around the house. Made a list of little things that needed to get done and got most of them crossed off by the end of the day. Spent last night watching TV that we recorded the prior week. Went to bed around 9 PM for a round of lovin and soon after went to sleep.
This morning I was up by 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Left the house around 11 AM to make copies of my taxes so I can mail them. Then went to Pick N Save and did the weekly grocery shopping. Spent the afternoon just laying on the couch with the dogs watching The People's Court and Judge Judy. Making pork ribs, mashed potato, corn and a salad for supper tonight. Will most likely watch a movie tonight since we are clearing the DVR pretty quick with the Olympics on TV, which we don't watch.
Please stop telling me to call Child Services on my tenants. If I thought for even one second their child was in danger I would take action. The child is not in danger. The parents are screwed up but they do treat the child very well. The guy has not even been here since the last incident. I see many many children around the city and country treated much worse. Since there is no book on how to raise a child they are doing there best. They just are very lazy and not good together for any length of time. That in itself does not make them bad parents. It just makes them incompatible.

Right drunk & high at 5 am & glass in the chin is good for the baby. You're nuts
ReplyDeleteReally, Dave. Are you a social worker? Take the blinders off and realize that this situation with your neighbor is ripe for child abuse. I usually agree with you, but in this case you are enabling a situation that could end VERY badly for the child. The other post is right----drunk and high at 5 am and a glass in the chin of the child? And you say "the child is not in danger?" They are not "doing their best" and you are enabling the possibility of child abuse. Sorry---just call it like I see it
ReplyDeleteWhy do i think that both comments are from the same person acting to be two persons
ReplyDeleteI'm commenter #2. More than one person can think the same thing. Dave--check the ip address of the comment and you'll see that we are, indeed, two different people
