February 15, 2013 Friday Afternoon

Tony got home from work around 5:30 PM.  As he was getting his work clothes off I looked at him and said 'it sure is damp and cold outside, what would you think of snuggling in for the night and ordering a Lisa's pizza'.  He looked at me and said 'sounds great, I hated thinking about going back out in the cold'.  So Tony showered and I ordered a pizza for delivery.  Spent the night watching TV from the DVR.  Watched The Walking Dead from Sunday, Law And Order SVU from Wednesday, and CSI from last week before going to bed around 10 PM.  Watched the local news to hear about a story the made me so mad and still does.  Guess our Animal Control here in Milwaukee has been holding about 15 dogs for over 2 years in cages, never going outside, never getting walked, and no human contact except for getting fed each day,  FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS.  The dogs were taken from a dog fighting ring almost 2 years ago and are being held as evidence.  Of course the guys charged with the crimes are living free on the streets while these and many other dogs are kept in a back room, in small cages, never seeing the light of day until the case is solved and then they are killed.  WTF?   This story made me so mad.  Finished the news, did the Valentine loving thing and went to bed.

This morning I was up by 7 AM.  Fed the dogs, gave Vito his shot and got Tony off to work.  Spent the morning reading the newspapers, doing a couple movie downloads, and then at 10 AM when MADACC opened I called and left a message for the manager telling him just what I thought of them holding these dogs like this and not treating them humanly.  Here is a link to the story if your interested:

It is quite alarming and so wrong.  They are simply holding these dogs to collect money from us tax payers for every day they keep them, even as the criminals are out on the streets at this time and the DA says the dogs no longer need to be kept as 'evidence'.   This story has shocked many and I am sure something will change.  Showered and met the guys and Tony for lunch.  Had a great lunch as usual.  Came home and spent an hour or so just laying on the couch with the dogs listening to music.  Will just make left over spaghetti and pizza with a salad for supper tonight.  Most likely spend the night watching TV from the DVR.  Tomorrow we are going to a Classic Car show hear that is yearly.  Tony got free tickets which makes me happy since it is usually about $15 each to get into this show.  I go just to look at the men at the show while Tony looks at the cars.  Suppose to be a cold weekend so we will do very little besides the car show, going outside.  Have a great weekend everyone.
