November 18, 2011 Friday Afternoon

Spent last night watching the Regis Farwell Special on TV. Then watched a Desperate Housewives from Sunday night and then The Mentalist, before going to bed around 10 PM.
Got up this morning at 6:30 AM. Fed the dogs and gave Vito his shot. Around 8 AM our upstairs tenant called from work to tell me the bathroom sink and tub faucets are leaking pretty bad. Told him I would check them and most likely have Tony fix them this weekend. This house was built in 1909 and I am sure the upstairs plumbing is original. We have to fix the washers on the faucets almost yearly. It is never fun and hard to find parts. Some day we will have to break down and spend some money replacing the entire shower faucets and plumbing. Watched the last Regis and Kelly show in tears. I have watched Regis probably as long as he has had a morning show. The show, he, will be missed. I do like Kelly so I will keep watching the show to see who they end up with as a co host. Did a little around the house before going to lunch with the guys. Had another talk with Tony after lunch since now his brother saw the judge this morning, pleaded not guilty, and has his court date set for November 30th. I guess his ex girlfriend came to the shop this morning to tell Tony the news AND, that his brother is expecting Tony to bail him out this afternoon. Tony told the ex girl friend to tell the brother and his lawyer that he WILL NOT be bailing him out of jail so he should look towards his daughter or someone else. I told Tony to stay strong on this and be ready for his brother to eventually show up at the shop very mad at him. Of course he will be mad at Tony, because for some reason it is his brothers job to bail him out of jail? Not like he think he did anything wrong even though he was driving with alcohol in him, he was driving without a license, and he was flat out wrong to do any of that. Guess some people just can not take responsibility for their own mistakes. Plus why is his mistake OUR problem. We might as well throw the money out the window if we give it towards him. He can not live on what he makes now and is always getting pay in advance, how would he pay back anything he would owe? Came home from lunch and took a little nap with the dogs. I now need to get supper ready. Making a dinner soup and salad for supper tonight. Will most likely watch a movie or the DVR tonight before going to bed. Tomorrow I informed Tony, we would be working on the upstairs plumbing since the leak is costing me money on the water bill. No other plans this weekend. In the high 30s today in Milwaukee. The pond did freeze over last night and the heater seems to be working since it did not freeze around the floating heater. Time will tell as it gets colder outside. The day's sun did melt most of the pond ice today but tonight it is suppose to get very cold and below freezing again. Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. Absolutely right to refuse bail. I was in that position years ago with a good friend thrown in jail over drugs. She virtually begged me on the phone for bail, but I refused. As it turned out when she was finally released (someone else posted bail) she breached her bail conditions. I'd have lost the lot.
